Review from Paul C.

This new addition to James Bay is doing things right. Good espresso and inexpensive, high-quality eats. Their delicious egg & turkey sausage breakfast sandwich is a mere $4.50, frequently drawing my weekend breakfast thoughts away from the piles of cheesy omelette at those other places. The seating isn't spacious, but the service is friendly, and the tunes reliably interesting.

Review from Purdy J.
Very lovely bright and bustling cafe that serves coffee, baked goods with a breakfast AND lunch menu served all day! Yum! I thoroughly enjoyed their veggie burger for $8 at 9am!. The veggie pattie was made in-house and simply delicious. It was a little crumbly and fell apart but it was filled with wholesome ingredients like lentils and still so tasty. No round puck like, generic patties here! The bun was nothing special but toasted and warmed to perfection.
The coffee was mild with the most beautiful coffee art I've seen!
Seating is a little limited but the atmosphere is wonderful with the sunshine shining throuigh the floor to ceiling windows. Staff is super friendly and the music gives the place a nice, relaxing vibe. -

Consistently the best coffee to be had in Victoria, maybe the world. Take time to savor it...this is not Timmy's. We have lived in James Bay for over 35 years and are thrilled to finally we have a "real" bakery. Pre-order bread for Mon,Weds, or Friday pick-up. A great selection of yummy baked goods daily, plus great fresh food prepared by people who clearly care about their products. Check out the breakfast sandwich!!! Beautifully fried egg, white cheddar, and a choice of savoury meats on a bakery fresh English muffin style bun. A steal for under $ 5. Great soup too! It's often crowded and noisy but it's a friendly crowd and happy noise, with great musical selections on the turntable. Share a table, have a conversation. There's off street parking, and a bike rack, but because it's James Bay why not walk. There seem to be some growing pains, but these folks deserve your support.
