Review from Ann E.
Was here with my family and my parents all the way from Houston, TX. Servoce was S-L-O-W!!!!! We wanted to get going to another activity but had been at Grand Beach all day and were hungry.
When they FINALLY began to bring out one tasty dish at a time (we ordered around 11 or so dim sum dishes) we decided it was worth the wait. We were even happier when we got the bill. -

Well, I used to come here, and I decided on the weekend that I hadn't been in a while and maybe I should check it out....
Boy was that a mistake, everything has gone up significantly in price, you won't find anything worth eating that isn't "chef's special" which basically means it's $5 a dish.
U always though Dim Sum was cheap, well, not at this place.
The food I could afford was mediocre, if not cold. I had some edible ginger chicken thing and a shrimp cake.... That's where it got interesting. I tried to use my chop stick to break the shrimp cake and it broke it two.
Fortunately there was a lady driving her cart by. Unfortunately she couldn't speak English and even though was Chinese was no able to discern what the problem with one chopstick was.
She finally said ok and turned around and walked away. I was brought under the impression she was going to get me another one, but I was sadly mistaken. For the rest of my 'meal' I was forced to use half of a chop stick.
Finally another lady came around with shrimp dumplings.... I asked her if they were "chef's special." to which near as I can tell she advised me they were not, and then marked them as chefs special.
Good thing I caught it, otherwise my $15 bill would've been $25. Before I got fed up and left.
I cannot fathom going in for Dim Sum and dropping $80 or something stupid, but at $5 for 3 dumplings, it certainly wouldn't take long.
I will never go back. -

I've never eaten here, but I just want people to make sure they know that this place consistently has health violations.

Probably the best Dim Sum in Winnipeg. I don't live here but this place is definitely the tits when it comes to Dim Sum.
The place is HUGE with tables to seat a crowd of Dim Sum loving customers. My cousins took me here and I have to say, I was a bit skeptical of the reviews. It was obviously a very crowded establishment which has to count for something, but you also have to remember how small Winnipeg is.
This place did not disappoint. Dim Sum was spot on. Prices were awesome because you can get a load of Dim Sum for a crazy cheap price. The desserts were soooo good, and they have a vast selection. The carts were just flying by us constantly and everyone was happy to serve. This is really one of the better Dim Sum restaurants in Winnipeg. If you're ever in the neighborhood, check it out. -

I been here lots over the years and it has always been good. For Winnipeg this is a good choice for the price. Depending on the time of day the service varies, and the choices being wheeled by may be limited, but it all seems to work out. Good place for a large group.

We went to the new location on Pembina highway at Bairdmore = No dim sum yet, but the food was plentiful and delicious. We especially enjoyed the pan-fried shrimp
