If you ever had a craving for bubble tea or want to snack on some bubble waffles before shopping at T & T, this is the place. They make decent bbt and yummy bubble waffles. Say what? Bubble waffles? Actually, bubble waffles reminds me of Hyuna's "Bubble pop" song ( http://www.youtube.com... ). You can pop my bubbles anytime Hyuna!

Dessert Dynasty makes decent bbt and I love their bubble waffles. They have a big menu on the wall in both Chinese and English, so it's pretty easy to order. I would recommend ordering bbt with half the sugar to save yourself some calories. The bubble waffles are little balls of waffles made in a honey comb shaped waffle maker. If they make it perfectly, it should be crunchy on the outside and slightly chewy on the inside. It's something that you got to eat right away before it cools down. It takes 5-10 minutes to make, you can read some mags on the counter or watch some random asian pop on the LCD.

Dessert Dynasty used to be one of my favourite bubbletea joints when it first opened. Sadly, it's been downhill since then.

Firstly, when I'm waiting in line to order a drink, it would be nice NOT to have three different workers yelling at me from opposite directions demanding what drink I wanted. Secondly, prior to the first, it would be nice if they gave me a little time to decide. Lastly, it would be even better if I was served the drink I had ordered.

I did an order for my cousin and I, which consisted of one earl grey milk tea with pudding and a green milk tea with pearls. After everyone there looked at me and nodded, I had full confidence that my request was understood.

Sadly, I thought wrong. I was served two green milk teas with pudding. Not only did they mess up my order, they also messed up my cousin's. And when I confronted them about it, they smiled and repeated to me what they had just made me - not what I had ordered.

Thanks for failing at hospitality and customer service, Dessert Dynasty.

    I've only been here once..

I go to Metrotown quite often, and have tried all the bubble tea places located inside the mall- Big orange, little tea house, even the ones that T&T sells. Since I've tried the rest and am actually not a big fan of any of the other places, I decided to give this place a shot.

I ordered a Milk Tea, and since it was on the expensive side (almost $5) and the business wasn't bad, I was expected it to be quite good. Turns out I was wrong.. I thought it tasted pretty weird. Super sweet, yet has this really strange after-taste. I'm not really sure how to describe it. And I'm not one who can handle overly-sweet beverages or foods, so I actually felt not so good after. Probably one of the worse bubble teas I've had. I would probably give it a second shot if I weren't so disappointed and the price was lower.

The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because I thought the girl that took my order was really nice and sweet. Otherwise, blehh.

The bubble waffles were good, although some of them were more blobs than bubbles...still good though!  Still good!

Ever since my favorite dessert place in Crystal Mall closed down, I thought I would never be able to get my waffle balls again. That is, until I discovered Dessert Dynasty by T&T!

If you don't know what waffle balls are, they're basically like little balls of puff pastry. They mix this egg batter and then put it in a contraption that looks like a waffle-maker with a honeycomb pattern. It gets cooked, and voila! You have your waffle balls -- crunchy on the outside, and if cooked just right, slightly chewy on the inside. The name sounds kinda funny, I know. Sometimes they're called bubble waffle, but I find waffle balls easier to remember.

Anyway, I make it a point to stop by and get them when I'm at T&T, because they're cheap and oh so yummy. They also have bubble tea here too, but I think it's more of the powdered variety, so if you like fresh this may not be where to get it.

There is limited seating area, only four tables that are usually occupied by small families anyway. And if you're going to order the waffle balls, you might need to wait awhile, as sometimes they don't have the batter ready just yet.

Ordered their fresh watermelon bubble tea.  Man was it delicious.  Fresh watermelon is the way to go.  Their bubbles were slightly hard and very chewy.  Not a fan of their bubbles.

Their waffle balls were delicious though.  Crispy on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside.  It was made to order so it was nice and hot.

    I'll make this short.

I was hungry since I only had 2 cheese sticks for breakfast today. I ordered a bubble tea and a strawberry/nutella crepe.

I think they forgot about the crepe since late comers got their waffle balls first and I was half way done with my milk bubble tea which was just okay.

She was careful to use utensils to handle my crepe but my jaw dropped when she used the bottom of the nutella jar to hold down my crepe while she spread the nutella!

Crepe - the batter was wrong b/c it was the same batter as the waffle balls which taste great a little tougher. Crepes shouldn't be crispy and tough. The strawberries had a really weird taste and it took me a long time to chew through the crepe and usually I'm done in seconds.

I'll stick to the waffle balls.
