Review from Kathleen G.

I've been to a lot of spas in Vancouver and when on traveling. At Deserving Thyme Lifespa, I have consistently received an extremely high level of customer service. The treatments I have received (including RMT massage, wellness massage, body scrub, pedicure) have all been excellent. The facility and spa beds are always immaculate and comfortable. I have also found the spa staff and treatment providers very approachable and understanding. They are ready to answer questions and help. The treatments can focus on wellness and the treatment providers care about you feeling great during, after and between appointments. If you enjoy aromatherapy, need time-sensitive treatments, or need some extra TLC, this is the place for you! It is easy to get to in Vancouver, centrally located near rapid transit, hotels and restaurants, in the downtown shopping and financial district.
I was back again last week for some RMT massage, and the therapist excellent and provided lots of home care tips to help the feeling of wellness last longer.
Also, this is a great place to go with a friend, for a pedicure, manicure, etc. with lunch spots and transit nearby.
March 2012 Update: I just went for a wellness massage and body exfoliation add-on, and it was lovely. I highly recommend these treatments.Comment from Mark D. of Deserving Thyme Lifespa 5/18/2011

Review from Kiki K.
West Vancouver, BC
I purchased 2 social shopper vouchers for a mani/pedi at this spa, and was really looking forward to it as so many hotel spas around the city provide amazing service. When I arrived, a staff member offered a drink and showed me into the mani/pedi lounge. The lounge was a small room, but was nicely decorated and calming. The girl who did my nails both times was very nice and professional, and offered me a refill on my drink when I finished.
I wasn't completely satisfied with the nail polish, as within half hour of leaving, one of my nails already chipped, so I went back and had them fix it. Within a few days the polish on many of my nails had chips and the polish started to peel in full pieces off a lot of my nails. When I came back to redeem the second voucher, I let the manager know of my concerns, and he said if I have any problems with the polish to come back and they would of course fix it - which is nice, but not always easy to arrange my day to go get a few nails repainted. I have had my current polish on for 4 days now and almost all of the polish on my fingers has chipped off or peeled in full pieces, and a few of my toes are beginning to chip around the cuticle area.
If I hadn't had the vouchers, I wouldn't have gone to this nail spa and definitely wouldn't have returned for a second visit. The regular cost of a mani/pedi after tax and tip is around $100, and for that price, I expect a mani/pedi that gets me through the day I get it done. I wouldn't go back and I would not recommend this spa for any nail services. -

My friend treated me to a mani/pedi at this spa in September 2011 with a voucher she bought from Social Shopper. When we arrived, a staff member offered us drinks. Afterwards, we were escorted to the mani/pedi lounge. The estheticians we had were very nice and they made our experience comfortable. I really liked how our manicures and pedicures turned out. The spa had an overall nice feel to it. I returned to the spa for another mani/pedi about three weeks later. I liked the esthetician I had the first time as I felt she had a friendlier personality and did a better job on my nails. The most recent esthetician had a bit more of an attitude and had less attention to detail compared to the first. There were some minor imperfections in the way she applied the polish but it was mostly good. I would return to this spa.

Clean and professional.
The salon itself is not that big but there is a place for you to shower. The salon is very clean, dust free and relaxing.
I usually have my facials here because of the convenient location. The facials are relaxing and the products smell great. They even have a quick lunch time facial if you're strapped for time.
I had my nails done last night and I wasn't 100% impressed. The girl cut my cuticles too much and 2 of my fingers hurt now. Especially when I accidentally got some lemon juice on my fingers.. OUCH! I noticed there was 1 nail she missed a tiny little spot on as well. Other than that, my manicure and pedicure still looks great and the girl was very sweet.
