Came here on a date on a Saturday night and it was busy.
They were playing top 40 music.. the room was very smokey and hard to breathe.
Its deffinitly great place for a date because its intimate and casual.
Or great for get togethers or partys because they do have a couple big seating areas.1 Previous Review: Show all »

My first time at Desert Nites was for a friends birthday party and I was honestly, less than impressed with the service I received. But for those of you who are reading this review will find out I am all about second chances, and in this case I am glad I gave this place another go.
Desert Nites biggest disadvantage is that its located in what I like to call the Vaughan Mills restaurant vortex. Its located in one of the plaza's on the edges of the Vaughan Mills Mall parking lot. If your next question is "Do you know which one?", my answer is NO, BUT I know there is TD Canada Trust Bank in the same plaza-pod so if you see the TD-green look to the south-east corner of the Plaza and Desert Nites will appear like a hazy mirage in the distance :)
Walking inside you are promptly greeted by an extravagant décor. Red drapes hung low around plush looking pillow topped booths along the left side of the room provide a luxurious contrast to the table and chair setting to the right. The dimly lit room gives off a truly intimate atmosphere, great for chill out nights with friends or a uniquely intimate date.
Upon being handed the menu you'll see that selection is vast and prices are extremely reasonable. While they don't offer a full menu of entrée items, they do however offer a delicious list of desserts and shareable appetizers that help to fill your middle eastern cravings (Most priced below $6/dish). Their list of libations are cause for celebrations - an extensive fully stocked bar menu offering: cocktails, mock-tails, wine and beer lists, liquors and bottle service (to those groups or individuals on a personal mission). Pricing is varied but is still very reasonable (far below Toronto prices).
No hookah bar review would be complete without discussing the main attraction. The Hookahs! Desert Nites offers over 25 varieties of herbal shisha (non-tobacco), meaning it is safe for all adult consumption. The staff are able to make great flavour recommendations at your request, however I am a fan of mixing Strawberry and melon with a touch of mint!! The visual effect is identical to tobacco however you save yourself the head rush and it can safely be consumer indoors on those colder evenings. However, with summer coming I should mention that Desert Nites has an amazing covered patio and while it was not open when I visited, I can tell this is the place to be come the warmer summer months.
The service and the staff really impressed me on my last visit and I will return. Also make sure to stick around for the nightly belly dancing show. Lots of fun.
