Review from Gwen A.
Vancouver, BC
I had a handful of laser hair removal treatments done on my bikini line and had great results. WIth that said, that doesn't mean everybody will. What I will say is that the laser can be quite painful and I highly recommend the EMLA cream depending on what area you're getting done. I'd imagine the legs and arms would be fine without it.
The office itself is inside an old ugly building, but don't let that detour you. It's nicely decorated and updated inside the actual office. You just have to get through the stinky hall first. The staff is very professional. I think there is somebody else at the front desk now, so I can't speak for her. But there there used to be middle aged blonde woman who was quite friendly and helpful. I'm not sure if she is still there.
The woman who does the treatment is very nice. She's a little different. I can't quite put my finger on it, but she just has something about her that's different. I don't even know if it's good or bad. I only mention this because for some people, the interaction is very important. I guess she not over personable? Nevertheless, I didn't find it bothersome and for the most part she was friendly. Some days she was very nice and others, more reserved. Perhaps that is a better word for her, reserved.
Anyway, she does a very thorough job! I never got the impression that she was trying to sell me anything else either. She gave me a lot of information and they don't rush you either. You also fill out a very thorough form asking you all sorts of questions.
Something to beware of if you're the modest type: The door opens right into the waiting area. So if somebody is standing in the right place, they can look right in and see you. This is kind of awkward when you're lying on a table with washcloth sized towel over you and nothing else. They should really put up a screen so that when the door opens you can't see in. Now, I actually don't really care as modesty is lost on me. But I can imagine others would.
They are a tad on the expensive side. Especially now with all the groupon deals going on.
