Dr. Tuvel is really experienced and is a professional at what he does. I got all my wisdom teeth taken out by him and it was overall as pleasant an experience as it could possibly be. Unlikely my previous dentist he does not cheap out on the numbing injections. I like how they call to check up on you after too.
The hygienist there was also really good and kind.
I think the doctor is kind of mean to his staff and I just feel he can be nicer to them. Also, I think they call too many times to remind you to come back. -

There are major infection control issues at this office. The dentist walks out of the room, and into several other areas, including the bathroom, and DOES NOT change his gloves. Also, he will often leave with gloves on, go to look in another patient's mouth and not clean his gloves. If you are lucky, he may turn them inside out after he looks in someone else's mouth. This is crazy...putting people at risk because you don't want to change your gloves to save a few cents. I am disgusted by this practice. There are other reviews from others on yelp as well talking about the glove issue, which leads me to believe that this is standard practice for him.
And yes, this doctor is not nice to deal with. Not sure why people continue to go see him, when there are other dentists in the area.
If you can choose another dentist, please do so.
You'll notice that it looks like he responded to a negative yelp comment, which is very characteristic of his rude confrontational style, and he rates HIMSELF a 5. It looks like the post was removed for violating the sites terms and agreements. He should be mature enough to allow other's their opinion, and if he doesn't agree, then perhaps he should start changing his ways (for example - changing gloves in between patients). This is major.
