Not bad service. Great place to study. Free refill on coffees, good food, friendly staff. Limited plugs for computers though....24 hours is good and quiet!

Ok, so, typical Dennys. 24/7 breakfast/lunch/dinner diner, it's great, it's cheap, it's filling, it's artery clogging. For that I'd give it 4 stars but tonight I experienced hands down the worst service I've ever experienced in my life and I'm the type of person who doesn't usually care.
I found out about a week ago I might have this disease and I have to watch my sodium intake, so when my friend asked if I wanted to go for late night dinner at Dennys I was kind of hesitant but I realized they probably had low sodium meals there so I agreed. The waitress was the rudest person I've ever met right off the bat, one of those people who talk like a robot and clearly doesn't want to be there. So with my health condition I asked if she could bring me a nutritional value information sheet, she looked pretty annoyed but said ok. She also seemed annoyed that I didn't know what I wanted to order after 3 minutes of sitting. She came back with an allergies card and said she couldn't find the nutritional value sheet, which was useless. Luckily I could just google it on my phone. BTW, the double cheese burger has 3880mg of sodium in it.
The food wasn't bad, I got an All American Slam (which surprisingly is moderately low in sodium). I got 2 pieces of bacon and sausage, tons of hashbrowns, 2 pieces of toast and eggs and cheese. It was all great besides the hashbrowns, they're more like shredded potatoes and I didn't really like them. We got the bill, we waited like 20 minutes for the waitress before I waved to her because I was about to miss my last bus home (it was like 11:30 at this point), she held a finger up as to say "one moment" but it wasn't, after another 15 minutes we got mad and went up to the cash. They don't take debit for some weird reason, so I had to get $40 out because my bill was $20.30, which was so annoying. I tipped her for some reason but I wrote a letter to the manager and requested he explain the importance of having nutritional values available to his staff. -

After a really long night, a small group of friends and I were in the Hunt Club/South Keys area and it felt like we were dying of hunger. One of my friends suggested Denny's, as I believe it's 24-hours. It was about 4 in the morning, and the thought of a big breakfast sounded really, really good.
We were seated right away because the place was pretty empty at this time, though there were a few other people having breakfast as well. We had expected the staff to be lethargic and cranky because working at 4am is not greatest, but they were surprisingly alert and friendly.
A couple of my friends were simply craving a huge plate of homefries and hasbrowns, and the other ordered an omelette with bacon, but I was starving and thought "go big or go home", so I ordered the Lumberjack Slam. It includes buttermilk pancakes, hash browns and choice of toast, honey ham, bacon, sausage, and two eggs - exactly what I was hoping for, and more. I love that they gave two slices of bacon and two sausage links and big slice of ham to boot, as I really like the variety and hate it when breakfast places are stingy with the meat.
They have such good deals at Denny's, and you really get the bang for your buck, as long as you're OK with the breakfast grease factor. My meal was huge and obviously filling, and really hit the spot! I was so full that when I finally got home, I slept like a baby.Listed in: Glutton
