Review from Alison I.

Not a whole lot to write about on this one. My friends and I went here after a night at the club on a weekend visit to Niagara Falls. Regular Denny's fare so don't expect tooooo much. Personally, I have a guilty pleasure soft spot for greasy food and I love Denny's hash browns, so I was content with the food. I agree with everyone else though that it is way too over priced. I can understand when a nice restaurant is a tad pricey, especially when you're in a tourist town, but I find it hard to justify an inflated price for 2 pancakes from a box and hashbrowns.
Bonus points to the staff for not losing their cool on the obnoxiously, rude and offensive drunk guys at the next table. -

This place legally should be closed down, seriously, we went there for breakfast one morning, and when I looked at the menu I didnt know what to do, shit or go blind!! The prices were outrageous and this is coming from someone who eats at Dennys all the time.
Its really a disgrace how they rob the people with these prices, it was literally 24.00 a person for a standard breakfast, 2 eggs homefries, juice toast, your talking about spending 65 to 75 dollars on 3 people, its insane!! We should have known better because we were the only shmucks in there, we ran out of there quicker than the jews left christ!!
My advice to you, NEVER GO IN THERE because its a tourist rape trap. -

This Denny's is attached to the Howard Johnson's at the same address. We were staying at the HoJo and decided to do a take-out from the Denny's so that we could eat on the road. The HoJo advertises the Denny's takeout menu in the rooms, so we felt it would be a quick and inexpensive alternative.
At a round 9:00 am, I went to the front counter and ordered two grand slams. At the time, there were no customers in line and the waitress took my order and said it would be around fifteen minutes.
Soon after that, several large groups entered the front door and were seated.
After fifteen and then thirty minutes, I inquired where my order was and was told it was not ready yet. When my order finally arrived after forty minutes, I asked the manager why it took so long. She said that it was Denny's policy to prepare take-out orders AFTER sit-down customer orders and since several groups had come AFTER I had ordered, they had precedence. I said that if I had known that take-out would take so long, I would not have ordered. She snapped that it was Denny's Canada policy to not tell take-out customers this.
Very bizarre.
We finally got our food. The grandslams were quite good (better than McD's for sure) but were quite pricey and certainly not worth the wait.
There are a lot of good fast food options in Niagara Falls (Ontario) so there's no need to risk going back here again.
p.s. A followup: After I wrote to Denny's North America to complain about the poor service, a regional manager there wrote back to me. He said he verified my story with the local manager. He said it wasn't Denny's policy to prepare take-out meals after sit-in meals and apologized for the poor service. He sent me four coupons for grand slams as compensation. We are happy with this resolution and the fast response we received from Denny's North America. And while I still wouldn't eat the Denny's Niagara, I will and have eaten at other Denny's restaurants. Kudos to them for following up. -

INSANELY EXPENSIVE.
Dirty chairs, carpets.
Ignorant staff.
After browsing the (5 to 10 times overpriced) menu, we walked out.
What a shame to attempt to gouge tourists like this. -

The food is basic Denny's fare. It's ok. The only problem I have with this Denny's is the price tag. How can 2 eggs, toast and hash browns be 9 dollars? And a kid's meal is $7.99. You guys are crazy. I will say that the service was excellent and they were very friendly. . .if I were you, I try out one of the local spots. . .just to save a few buckaroos. What am I, rich?

We are into our 10th week of traveling throughout whole of America and we have lived off Denny's in most states of US because breakfast is nice, large serves and feeds my family of four for $16 + tip with their fantastic $2, $4, $6, $8 deal!. So today we walk into niagara Denny's sit down the family ready for our standard fare, usually don't even open the menu but thank goodness we did, what the hell!!!! The grand slam sandwich is $7.99 across the falls but here it's $16.99. It looks clean inside and food smelt the same, the cutlery was not gold plated and there was no dancing girls so bugger if I know why it's sooooo expensive! We didn't stick around to see if it tasted the same.
