I was recommended to Dan Demetriad by a business associate and I am so glad he guided me Dan's way. I am a business executive who was in need of a updated head shot. What I noticed immediately from Dan and his associate Marcia was the ease they put me in (not brusk and eager to get the job finished as with past NYC studios) - asking me what type of music I wanted to listen to - being a lover of classical music I said "How about some Sibelius?" and low behold he said "we have the 2nd and 5th Symphonies" - we were off to a good start!
Dan's professionalism showed through as he took his time making sure I was happy with the type of look I wanted to achieve from my head shot. I
must admit, I don't remember ever looking so good in a photograph.
Besides being such a professional at his craft Dan is a very interesting person, extremely well read and a great storyteller, between some of the well known personalities he has photographed to his growing up in Eastern Europe. I highly recommend Demetriad Studios!

Having always toyed with the idea of getting professional photos taken, I am thrilled to have had my first experience with Dan & his wonderful, talented team. From the call to book the session with Marcia to the warm arrival, flawless make-up application, photo shoot and the resulting photos - I received first class service and care at every turn. Dan's attention to detail both during the session and with the touch-ups is absolutely unparalleled. I could not imagine a better experience and will definitely be using them again in the future. Highly, highly recommended. Thank you Dan & team!!!

There is no words that can express how I feel about Dan Demetriad and Marcia the duo team is one of a kind. When I first spoke to Marcia over the phone I knew instantly I made the right choice. Dan went to great distance to make me feel comfortable, and remained so professional. Dan has so much passion and takes great pride in his work. I will always refer Demetriad Studios to anyone I meet along the way as I am pursuing my acting career. I look forward to working with him again... I have been a customer of Demetriad Studios for 20 years. I am a professional opera/classical music performer and recording artist as well as a professional voice over talent. And I am proud to say I am also the mother of a professional actress, who is also a client of Demetriad Studios. Everyone at the studio is warm, friendly, conscientious, and professional. Pricing is competitive BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY the quality of each and every shot in a session is so exceptional and on the mark for what it is intended to be used that my only issue is how can I choose just one! They are all so perfect. I highly recommend Demetriad Studios to everyone.

I'm a successful author and and speaker and also appear on many TV shows so having a good photo is very important for my career. I've been searching for a good photographer for MANY years and always hated the results. Then I got a coupon to try Dan. I was amazed at how he took his time and gave me such good directions for how to present myself to the camera, instead of using my a old poses. Despite my protests, I listened and he was right about it all. The hardest part was choosing the ones to use as they were all fabulous! My friends, who I asked for assistance in choosing agreed.
Dan was able to capture my essence and these are the best photos of me ever. He was also a pleasure to deal with. He made a point of letting me know he wanted me to be happy with the photos. I got exactly what I wanted. He even sent an extra one that he cropped after I'd said I didn't want it cropped and truthfully, it's the one I use most. I went here to get my first set of headshots done, and Dan and Marcia are INCREDIBLY warm, honest, hardworking people who care about the work they produce, the welcoming atmosphere in the studio, and how I felt when I left. Dan was a wonderful photographer, who helped me to feel at ease with presenting myself to the camera. Marcia and I bonded over a common interest and shared a few laughs. Dan even offered to retouch a few images of mine. I used a Living Social deal and COULD NOT BE HAPPIER! I paid in full for the discounted deal through Living Social, then paid cash for the tax on the charge. My images were received in a timely fashion, both when the shoot was RELEASED ONLINE TO ME VIA EMAIL (like they always do -- *hint: the above review is FALSE) as well as when I received the retouched pictures. Dan & Marcia are doing a FANTASTIC job. These people are PROFESSIONALS.

I can't say enough about the professional and warm atmosphere at Dan Demetriad Studios, from the moment you are greeted through the Photo Session itself, I don't know anything that could improve such a positive experience. This was a new experience for me and both Dan & Marsha went over and above to make it a "Perfect Ten" I would recommend them (and already have) to anyone with complete confidence.
