Fantastic! We went here for a trip right after we got engaged. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They sent us up a plate of chocolates as a  congratulations. Not only was it thoughtful, they were delicious! the hotel is currently being remodeled, and the renovations are gorgeous. The hotel is a short walk from downtown Victoria and they offer a free shuttle as well. Great place!

INSIDER TIP: sign up for their rewards program. It's free and you can check out as late as 6pm (instead of the normal 11am).

Very happy with this place. The room was basic, but well appointed -- comfortable bed, wireless phone, and a real coffee maker. The room service was excellent, service was friendly...

And free wifi -- not only in the room, but seamlessly throughout the meeting room area, the lounge, the lobby... didn't even have to log in again.

The only things I didn't like was that the iron in the room had some ort of sticky residue on it which made it impossible to iron. Luckily, I always iron inside-out just in case something like this happens. And their in-house coffee tastes like an ashtray.

When planning our anniversary getaway to Victoria, we found a great rate for the Delta Victoria on Expedia and booked it right away.  While taking the ferry into the harbor in Victoria, it was pretty amazing to be able to see your hotel and know exactly how to get there.  A few people have commented that it is not directly in the downtown area, that's true, it's across a little bridge maybe 15 minutes from where the ferry drops you off.  I actually preferred this.  The water taxi can also take you there for about $5.

We did not have a Harbor side room, and really, I'm not sad that we didn't.  The view I'm sure was pretty, but the price is a lot better without it and you're going to see that great view the whole time you are in the city.

The rooms are super clean and rather large for the price you pay.  Great amenities in the showers and everyone is super helpful in getting you anything else that you might need (in my case it was nail polish remover).

We did not eat at the restaurant on site (Lure), but the hubs did use the pool and hot tub and enjoyed it very much.  The pool does tend to be pretty full of kids the entire time, so be aware of you are heading down there looking for a little relaxation.

Beautiful hotel. I reserved a meeting room at this location and spent the night here as well. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. The meeting room was nicely set up. Coffee, water, and tea was available. There was also a beautiful view of the harbor as well. My room was extremely clean and quiet, and the bed was very comfy. I will definitely be back again next year!

We initially booked for just a night, but decided to add another day to our itinerary in Victoria... and we were able to do so easily. :)

Our room was beautifully decorated and clean, complete with a beautiful view of Victoria Harbour!

It should be noted that the Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort & Spa is a pet friendly hotel. Stella, our Boston Terrier, was treated like a princess with her in-suite food and water bowl, treats, doggy spa towels, and other assorted goodies!

We were very impressed with the level of customer service we experienced at check-in and check-out. The staff are open and warm toward pets and guests alike. :)

Staying the extra night proved to be truly relaxing and just what we needed!

I stayed here overnight as part of a Victoria Clipper package and while it wasn't the cheapest option, I heeded reviews that said it was worth the (minimal) upgrade - and am glad I did.

The thing to know is that this hotel is not located on the downtown strip near the cluster of other hotels and cruise-ship terminals. It's about a six-block walk, away from downtown and across a footbridge, but you can also get a complimentary shuttle to downtown or take a water taxi for the very short ride across the harbor.  It's no biggie, really.

The hotel is very tastefully decorated in neutral, modern colors, with a large lobby seating area that has two gas fireplaces, big armchairs, and floor-to-ceiling picture windows to admire the harbor view.  There's a bar and seafood restaurant, which looked nice, but we didn't eat there.

The hotel calls itself a "resort and spa," so it has an indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness center, and squash/racquetball courts. There is a spa on the lobby level offering beauty treatments and massages.  You get a complimentary local newspaper in the morning, too.

The rooms are smallish, but nice and, again, tastefully and simply decorated.  There's a minibar and minifridge, a very comfy bed with fluffy comforters and pillows, bathrobes, and even a loaner umbrella in case of bad weather.  We had a basic room with a non-harbor (i.e. crappy) view, but who cares.

The staff was super-nice and friendly, and the shuttle driver is only too happy to give you recommendations for food and sightseeing if you're curious.  I thought it was a welcoming and non-touristy hotel and enjoyed my stay, and would be happy to stay there again while visiting Victoria.

I have stayed here twice now and both times were awesome. I love the charm of the Empress but the rooms are much nicer, roomier and more elegant at the Delta. They have a nice happy hour and the views are gorgeous. I also love that you can take the water taxi right from the base of the hotel to the dock in front of the Empress. I always have great service here and get a great night sleep!

I went here with my bf and it was definitely a good choice. Although it isn't on the strip of all the downtown and happening areas, I still enjoyed it since the walk was nice after large meals, plus, it was in a quiet area.

The room we got was huge! It isn't the most up to date place and still has your normal CRT TV and a broken keyboard for the internet access with the TV, but it wasn't like we spent too much time there right? haha

Oh, and we spent a good amount of the time at the pool and hot tub, and they're definitely well kept!

The customer service here is amazing! Not only are they ridiculously helpful, they're friendly and very responsive to your needs and concerns. The only problem I had here was that the key card for our room was glitchy and wouldn't  always open our door. There's only one way to use a key card, so we felt really dumb trying to get it to work...but eventually we got help and called for someone...after calling someone, it finally worked, but through our entire time there, it would work on and off, or after several tries.

Overall though, I did highly enjoy my stay here and loved the customer service. The rooms were nice, but nothing fancy. The hospitality here will definitely want to make you come back though.

I usually stay at Delta hotels when traveling because their frequent-stay program (Delta Privilege) is the best reward program I've encountered.

This particular Delta is my favorite. Stunning lobby, tastefully decorated and well-staffed. Restaurant is fantastic - particularly the breakfast - healthy meals with many local ingredients are featured here. There is a spa for your downtime, and the fitness center is well equipped.

Not inexpensive, but well worth it if you want a bit of pampering.

We stayed for 2 nights there and got a good discount booking from their website. Our reservation was for a premier room with partial view, but we ended up getting free upgrade to a full-harbor view room on the 6th floor. The view was incredible outside of our window, the beds are very comfortable. We heard some people complained about the CRT TV in the rooms but hey, you shouldn't be there to watch TV anyway!
The staff at the hotel were very friendly but the real deal is the Concierge lady Karen - she really knows where to go and makes great suggestions! We'd stay there again just for her great tips around town. We also loved the shuttle service (remember to tip the driver!). The breakfast at the hotel restaurant Lure was a bit pricey but we loved the food: we both had the Garden Omelet and the Berry Smoothie - the presentation of the food is beautiful, fresh and very, very tasty!

My boyfriend and I stayed here on a weekend getaway back in March. We had a king deluxe harborview room on the 8th floor. Tip to anyone who goes, don't get the highest floor (the 8th floor), the windows are not floor length and it obscures the view.

The room was clean and nice. Cozy, but not small. The bed was definitely comfortable and the chocolates they gave for the turn down service were really yummy. I have a couple complaints though. First, everything was an extra cost. Even local phone calls! I've never stayed anywhere that charged for a local call, not even a hostel. This was disappointing because I had to call to make restaurant reservations and it added a full dollar onto our bill. I know it's not a ton of money, but, I think it should be included. Parking also cost extra, $15/day. Coming on the ferry from Port Angeles, we couldn't exactly just leave our car and come by foot. I'm not sure why they charged either, the hotel isn't exactly in a hopping part of town where everyone would want to park for free, it's across the water from downtown. And even if it was, hotel guest parking ought to be included in your room price, especially if there's no other free option for you to use.

The location is fantastic. As I mentioned, it's across the water from downtown. But it's literally a three minute walk to get there. Right by the harbor too, so it's a nice view. I think the view from the Delta is better than that from the Empress (or any hotel on that side) because instead of looking at the "modern" resorts along the west Victoria side (which are admittedly an eyesore), you're seeing the Empress, Parliament, the seaport and downtown.

If you can get a deal on a room, I would definitely recommend the Delta, but just know it's going to cost you to park your car.

I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel last week. The room was booked on an online discount travel site (not priceline... stay away from priceline). I was really, really surprised! I would have gladly paid 25% more for the great location, great view, excellent rooms, etc. I didnt try their restaurant, largely because time were spent in the beautiful streets of Victoria.
Overall, very classy, comfortable, and well managed.

    Would love to go back.

Everyone that works at this hotel is very friendly and helpful! It is the perfect distance from the city, makes you walk and get fresh air and exercise! the rooms are very nice and the beds are so comfortable. I would stay here over the Empress because it is not dark, its very open and light. the shuttle drivers are so nice and help make our trip that much better!

the location is good(overlooking harbor), the room(if you get a deluxe) is very comfortable but don't spend the extra money for a club floor-the club lounge food is pathetic(on the level of a holiday Inn)and they make you pay for drinks-the newspapers are only local and the spa has a few machines, some weights , a small pool and coed whirlpool-the service is minimal(we waited for a cab they called for 1/2 hr and thou we asked, they never called to see if it was coming)but its decent and a little shuttle ferry comes to the hotel and takes you downtown for $4

I stayed here in early July, and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.  The staff was unusually helpful and friendly, even considering that this is toward the higher end of the price range.  You are staying across the harbor from the main part of downtown Victoria, but that means your view, especially in the evening, is stupendous.  It is a short walk across the bridge to downtown, but if you are averse to walking a few extra blocks, there is the water ferry.  While the sports facilities (pool and gym) are not particularly special, they are in good shape and clean.  I did not try any of the hotels food offerings, because the staff had plenty of suggestions as to great places to go downtown.
