I just stayed here over the weekend for a Saturday-Sunday trip with friends. We found a great deal through GROUPON which included a SIgnature Suite with a Queen size bed, evening appetizers, breakfast, wifi, and parking for only $159!

The room had a nice view of downtown since we were staying on the 22nd floor. The lobby was very clean and it looked like the hotel was connected to a convention center or something.

The living area of our suite was fairly large and we had our friends come over to our room to play cards at night. There was plenty of space for the four of us to sit on our couches/desk chair and we rolled the desk table to the living room so we could watch tv. The flatscreen tv also rotates 180 degrees so you can watch it in the living room and also from your bed since there is no wall that separates the two rooms.

Everything was perfect, other than the parking. There's a parking garage next to the hotel, but you have to walk outside and down the ramp into the garage in order to access your car. We were all very confused and thought it was ridiculous to have to walk down the same ramps that the cars go down. They should really figure out a way to make the parking garage connected to the hotel to make it convenient for their guests.

The evening appetizers and the breakfast in the morning were delicious. There was a variety of fruits, meats, cheeses, breads, as well as some other snacks like yogurt, hard boiled eggs, and muffins.

Most of the time, we were around Robson street and the main downtown shopping area, so staying at this place was a little out of the way. If you're planning on being in the busy shopping area, you probably wouldn't want to stay here unless you have a car that you'll be driving around in. I don't think I'll be staying here again unless it's through another GROUPON deal or an equivalent deal which offered a discounted price. Although the room and service was great for the price, the parking situation and the distance from the main downtown area made this place unappealing.

Just stayed here for a weekend through a GROUPON deal and bought 2. For $159 CAN we got a one-night stay for two in a Signature Club suite with breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres, parking and WiFi.

The lobby itself is simple and clean. Everyone was super nice and greeted us every time we walked though.  Check in was a breeze, but with not warm cookies (still good though). Parking was... odd. There is nothing that connects the two. We self parked in the garage next to the hotel. The garage closes at 10pm, but the hotel has a way to raise the gate and whatnot. We didn't need it since things were in walking distance.

We were on the top floor in the corner room (Room 2304). As cool as it was to have the corner room with all the windows, you can see right into the condos/apts next door. lol... The room itself was nice. There was a separate living/office area with an old CRT TV. Bathroom was nice and spacious enough. Water pressure sucked though. Nice touches with maple candy and turn down service.

The breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres in the lounge was a nice feature. I'm not much of a breakfast person, so fruits, meats, cheese, crackers, and bread were good enough for me. Nonalcoholic drinks were included as well. We took advantage of it both days we were there.

Overall this was a nice place for the price and what was included. This was my first time staying here and visiting Vancouver. Would think about staying here again if offered the same kind of deal. Thanks GROUPON! :)

It's a great hotel at a glance, but here's my lowdown:

,.-* Ambience: Classy & upscale, with a hint of budget-sense. It's well designed with clean, modern taste and style. The one thing I noticed was the carpet's fabric in the sitting area was oddly faded/worn in odd spots. One of the elevators' fabric interior wall has a large strand sticking out toward the buttons. In the restroom, sometimes the urinal sensor flushes when you get to it (waste) and sometimes it doesn't. I do like, and appreciate, their green & sustainable message efforts. The warm cider was nice.
,.-* Room: I had the north corner on the 11th FL (cheapest rate on highest floor, yay). I wasn't a fan of certain color choices in here. The gray-olive-esque Hide-A-Bed in the Sitting Room---is clean---but it's boring-looking and while the bedroom gets the LCD flatscreen, this room gets an out-dated Zenith CRT. The On-Command Movies could be more Preview-friendly and sometimes a channel would be fuzzy/pixelated or could use a deguassing. The bathroom door is solid gray... and has no stop from hitting the shower railing. The complimentary coffee & tea is nice... if I drink it. Daily newspaper.
,.-* Guest Services: Free access to the Fitness Center was nice. 2 TVs, 2 remotes, plenty of workout options, towels, a yoga/quieter room + fruit basket and water. Wi-Fi varies in the building, but it is free in the Lobby--that saved me trips to the Central Library a few blocks south. No complimentary breakfast.
,.-* Staff: Wonderful, friendly and professional. The nice asian gal checked me in and gave me 20 min free internet access in the Business Center to look stuff up.
,.-* Value: I'd say it was worth somewhere between regular price and the ASAP™ deal I got through Expedia below.

This visit was brought to you by Expedia - Deals and Offers - ASAP™ (50% off my room).

    Ambiance: Excellent
    Room: Excellent
    Service/Concierge: Excellent
    Parking: Expensive
    Location: Excellent
This is a good hotel in a nice prime location. Downside is there is valet parking which is pricey (you can self park nearby but its such an awkward place in terms of getting in an out that I would avoid it) I would look for parking lot nearby. We were upgraded to the signature suite and the room was amazing.  Huge separated area Big LCD TV in the main area and the bedroom. We were on the top floor so the views was awesome as well.  Service was great as always for a delta hotel but I think the concierge needs to be more polite. You can get a decent rate if you plan wisely otherwise the prices are comparable to 4 star hotels here which can mean a lot of $$$. My internet was free due to the Delta Club membership.

Delta has a prime location, as it's close to the Gas Lamp district with restaurants/bars and it is an easy walk to the West End. You'll probably get a better deal on pricing if you book it through a third party hotel website, like we did. Warm cookies upon check-in. Free cucumber-water and warm [diluted, eww gross] apple cider in the lobby. Rooms are spacious and clean. For some reason, parking was prorated for us based on hours - total came out to be $13 instead of the $28 listed on the website.

The only con - which is not good business practice (or maybe this is normal in Vancouver?) - is that they charged us an extra $30 per person over two people simply because it was New Year's Eve. WHAT??? We already booked and pre-paid for the hotel three months in advance. Either fully disclose this charge at booking or don't try to get extra money out of your patrons just because it's a holiday. Thank you. Could have had four stars...instead, two stars for you, Delta.

Great customer service on check in and throughout stay.  Large, clean, up-to-date room with spectacular views.  Prime location, but quiet.  Will definitely return.

We decided to take a side trip up to Vancouver on our Seattle trip and this was where we stayed.  The Delta Vancouver Suites was one of the more affordable 4-star (according to http://hotels.com) in the downtown Vancouver area and so we booked here, versus some of the other hotels closer to the Robson Street area.

This hotel seems to be catered more towards business people- I just didn't get a family-friendly vibe, although the staff were very helpful and friendly.  Warm chocolate cookies upon check-in were a plus.  Kudos to the valet for being honest with us and letting us know that it would be cheaper just to park in the garage rather than giving the rental car to them.

The rooms were large, clean, and non-smoking- a great place to spread out if there's more than two fo you per room.  The beds are okay- nothing spectacular, but after a full day's worth of walking all you care about is a warm, dry place to rest your head.

3 stars for being a good hotel, but next time I'm in Vancouver I may just stay at a hotel more centrally located to make it easier to roam Robson Street.

Great Location + Spacious, Stylish Rooms + Good Rates = Happy Vancouver Visitor.

We were in Van-City and lucked in to the Delta Suites via http://Hotwire.com and were perfectly comfortable and content with our stay. The Suites are located conveniently close to Gas Lamp and local restaurants and clubs in the downtown area. We were a stone's throw from the waterfront, which was really pleasant as well. (too bad it rained all weekend..)

The Hotel has a very friendly and youthful vibe all throughout and anything you could desire from a Four-Star hotel was right at your fingertips. I highly recommend this place for couples or groups who are new to the Vancouver area. Cheers BC!

Fiance scored a room at this place through Hotwire for $80, that's a pretty good deal for a 4 star hotel in my opinion. Upon arriving we were warmly greeted by the valet who gave us two options on parking; we could park the car ourselves at the garage right across from hotel for $5 from 6am-12pm or they could valet for us at a whopping $27 with in/out privileges at the same garage. Of course we parked it ourselves and only ended up spending $10 for parking from 9pm the night we checked in until 5pm the following day. Looking back I should have tipped the valet just for letting us know we had options, I don't think most hotels would have done that.

The only problem we had when checking in was being given a room with two double beds when we had requested a king size. No problem though, the friendly concierge found us a queen bed that was available and no extra charge. A big pro of the hotel is the safety. Floors are only accessible through your room key that has to be inserted in the elevator and the side door to the hotel as well that closes at a certain time at night.

The room was definitely above average with a soft down comforter, marble counter in the bathroom, and nicely sized flat screen tv. Location is the biggest pro of this hotel as we wanted to avoid driving around an unfamiliar town and dealing with parking. We walked everywhere from Robson St. to Chinatown, just beware of some of the shadier streets getting to Chinatown as we were warned by the concierge. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

Stayed here for work, which was at Canada Place-- still close enough to walk.

The rooms are suites, so the bedroom and living room areas are separate. Not necessary if you're traveling solo, but it's nice if you have a travel buddy and you're not on the same schedule. The bed was really comfy!

I was able to get a great room at a great price by talking to the Delta reservations (at the hotel) directly.  Because of this, i was able to get the corner room suite on the 17th floor for a great price.

Upon arrival, I was a little surprised by the two small stands as the reservation desk.  But I guess they had done this because it was a much more friendlier affair than I'm used to compared to other four star hotels.  The room was great, the staff was great!  There was a small issue with the room but because they have the Delta Blue Ribbon guarantee, they had given me the first night for free!

The location is pretty good - it's a few blocks away from Robson St so pretty close to the great shopping area of downtown Vancouver.  It's about 1.5mi from Stanley park but not too long of a walk for me and the family.

All-in-all - a great place and I would definitley stay here again.

Visiting Vancouver on my own finances for the first time.

Accepting the fact that there will be no $100-per-head dinners at Gotham or Diva at the Met or stays at the Fairmont or Four Seasons.

Yet.... refusing to stay anywhere outside of non-budget-friendly downtown Vancouver.

Along comes http://priceline.com, and Delta Vancouver Suites Hotel for half the price of Four Seasons.  Warm chocolate chip cookies awaited our late-night arrival, so did the friendly dude at the reception desk who, before long, embarked into a discussion about the 2010 winter olympics in Vancouver (and how the government only managed to fully pay off 1976 Montreal olympics three years ago - preposterous).

For its price, we got more than our money's worth.  Roomy suite, convenient location, comfortable bed, exceptional service, and morning papers.  And a place to go when it's too wet and cold on Robson St, which is only a stone's throw away.

great hotel in a fun yet quiet area of the city - gastown.  one or two blocks from water street's action with great restaurants, waterfront views and tourist shops.  also two blocks to walk out of the waterfront station so you can take the canada line train straight from the airport and get off at the last stop (about $8 but its an honor system).  excellent customer service.  promptly brought us more blankets, cozy down comforters, and hot out of the dryer linens for the pull-out couch.  knowledgable staff too who recommended restaurants and sights to see.  clean and friendly; would come back!
