Review from Erin S.
We had the privilege of staying at the Delta Vancouver Airport on our first ever family road trip. What an experience!
The staff were phenomenal! Friendliest hotel staff I have encountered. Each & every one had a smile on their face, made a point to say hello and happily offered treats to my sons (checking with me first.)
Our room was clean & modern. Nothing was lacking. Fantastic view of the water, with the opportunities to watch planes take off and land. I had been nervous about the potential airport noise (I am a light sleeper) but was pleasantly surprised with not being disturbed at all. I think the qualities beds and linens definitely had a big role in that.
We were lucky enough to be offered an upgrade to the club floor. The breakfast was top notch for a hotel continental breakfast. Items were replenished regularly and the lounge was kept clean & clear.
The only down side is that Cessna Dog was away that weekend - but we WILL be back to visit. Hopefully sooner than later.Comment from A S. of Delta Vancouver Airport 8/30/2011

Nice friendly staff updated hotel. Lights in room a little lacking only one ceiling light and walls thin easy to here people in other rooms talking. But overall enjoyable stay would recommend.
did not like the fact wi-fi is only free in the lobby and cafe. the charge was $12 to have it for the room and then only wire connection. -

I was definitely pleasantly surprised when I arrived here for a 2-night stay in BC. It's conveniently located to everything that Richmond has to offer. The lobby is small but nicely decorated. The hotel room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. The bathroom was clean (super important!!) and looks to be newly renovated (you can see some cracks around the doorway, but after that, everything in the bathroom is modern and looks great). I definitely wouldn't mind staying here again!
Because this is an airport hotel, you can hear planes taking off and landing. The walls are a little bit thin, so you can hear your neighbors and anyone walking and talking down the hallways quite clearly. We were also located near the employee-only stock room and could hear them rattling plates over there. If you're a light sleeper, you may need some ear plugs or request a more quiet location.
There's a $14 overnight parking and no free wi-fi! =( However, if you sign-up to be a Delta Premier member, you can get free internet in your room (wired only). -

Got a good discount deal through work at $116 a night, which had 2 double beds, and included free continental breakfast, internet, and parking.
Based on other pictures posted here, it looks like this hotel is newly updated or renovated. The decor and everything was pretty nice, had a flat panel tv, granite counter top in the bathroom, but unfortunately, no mini fridge. The front desk staff and the wait staff at the cafe were all extremely courteous. My only complaint is that the beds were a bit too soft and some of the pillows were too thick, so I had a hard time finding a good sleeping position. -

The Delta hotel chain seems to cater to business travelers. Not a lot of frills, but the basics are well covered.
There is a bar/restaurant on site (The Elephant and Castle), there is a small pool, a fitness center and wifi in the lobby is free, though we had to pay for internet in the room.
We were visiting Vancouver for a long weekend and my wife got a great rate on http://Priceline.com for this hotel. The hotel is very close to the airport and a little further south from the places to visit in Vancouver, but it was a good deal, none the less. -

This is a review for the conference and catering portion of the hotel; I haven't stayed in the rooms.
Now that it's fall and school's back for students, it means I'm stuck in more meetings/conferences! My latest one was at the Delta Vancouver Airport. Convenient location just a few minutes from YVR and parking at the hotel is in the front for $10/day.
The meeting facilities are A-OK. Nothing overly fancy, but service by the staff was great from the bell desk, to food service and general directions when I looked confused which meeting room I was supposed to be in.
Catering is good. No issues with breakfast and the lunch sandwiches and soup were actually quite good.
Definitely some issues with soundproofing - there was another meeting being held at the ballroom next door and the divider did a poor job of blocking out the sound - we heard more about Native issues than what our own speaker was trying to talk about! That got solved after awhile, but it's a potential issue.
Overall A-OK for meeting space. -

Our company has been coming here for many years. Hotel has been slowly going downhill. Hotel staff has changed and not very nice, at least towards our company, which obtains room rate discounts. So, service = price you pay (or don't pay).
Rooms are in very desperate need of complete gutting. A couple of years ago they did something to "upgrade" the heating system and I've yet to see what has improved. Hard to heat the rooms which is mandatory in chilly Vancouver. End up supplementing the heat by cranking up the blow dryer and hanging if from a mirror aimed towards the room (a new entry for a survialist handbook?).
Bedding is the only redeeming quality; sheets are starched & pressed. Mattresses are another story; firm with a semi thick mattress pad making the bed a fluffy pillow top wannabe. Furniture is straight out of a Levitz Furniture bankruptcy liquidation outlet. Television is a throwback to the early 80's. Get with it folks!
Fitness center is open 24hrs. Pretty damn good actually. Aside from cardio equipment, free weights and weight machine, gym has a nice view and is accessorized with towels (some chilled!); apples and water to quench your thirst.
High speed internet for the low rent district rooms is over $12 USD.
To numb yourself from doing time at this place, have a pint (or three) at the enjoyable Elephant & Castle next door! Super nice staff and cool bar area. Try the awesome Fish 'n Chips. Food is good and many beers to choose from. Great view too from most tables.
Bus stop is right out front of the hotel, making it easy for a fast getaway. 25-30min ride to downtown area. Coins only so be prepared.
Save your money and sanity, keep searching other hotels. -

I loved it. Of course maybe part of it was that I was there for a conference and didn't have to pay... but the rooms were beautiful, the service was good and they have this cute dog that lives in the hotel on the main floor. I was surprised to see those old pics on yelp, the rooms have definitely been renovated and updated, you now have a beautiful flat screen HDTV, overall the room was very nicely decorated and the bathroom was beautiful. I was actually thinking wow this place would be great for a wedding! Side note: the Elephant & Castle restaurant no longer exists, its another place but I cant remember the name?? The food was really good anyways, I had the gnocchi and it was amazing. I loved staying at this hotel!

this place was alright. the room was somewhat smelly, which I think was from whatever they used to clean the room, but opening the window and turning on the air conditioner fixed that. You could feel that the front desk was trying their best to give good customer service. Only ding is that I asked for a 1:30PM checkout time; when I returned to my room at 1PM, the housekeepers had started cleaning the room. Good thing I had already taken most of my stuff to my car. The housekeeper was very apologetic, but obviously there was a major communication breakdown...I had even kept the do not disturb sign on the door. anyway, what brought it up from 2-stars was the free wi-fi in the lobby (though it was very slow in the mornings with everyone using it), and I really thought that the cooled towels in the gym were a nice touch. Otherwise it was mediocre hotel which is showing its age. $14 for parking is a little steep for Richmond too.
