Went there because I got  a SocialShopper coupon.
The good:  The guy (I can only assume that this is the owner) at the front was very friendly, had helped me rearrange my appointment easily a few days before, and my massage therapist, Joanne (or Joanna?) was INCREDIBLE. She was attentive, had a long list of options for kinds of massage that I could get, and did a fantastic job, keeping an eye out to make sure that the pressure was exactly what I needed the entire time. Professional, intuitive, fun and skilled masseuse. The massage table was one of the best I've ever been on, wonderfully cushioned for my face and very comfortable.

Now the bad: The spa has high, warehouse-type ceilings, with bright fluorescent lights that are incredibly unpleasant to be staring up at when you're lying on the massage table.
They've draped a long dark sheet over the top of the cubicle-like room that I was in, which blocks the lightbulbs but only for a very limited area. Joanna offered to put a towel over my eyes, which helped, but I would have preferred not having to keep something on my face.
We had to skip the sea salt soak that was part of my coupon, because apparently they were out of hot water. That seemed odd, but I didn't want to make a big deal out of it because it really wasn't Joanna's fault and there wasn't anything we could do about it anyway. No discount taken off for having taken out part of my deal, though.

The place was LOUD. I could hear everything going on outside, people laughing and talking and coming/going. Very difficult to relax when you feel like you're lying down in a busy hallway, with fluorescent lights and crowds of people and noises, no matter how well your masseuse is doing.

I tipped on the debit machine, $20, and was a little bummed that the massage therapist wasn't there because I always wonder whether they actually get their full tip if they don't see it go in. I'm not sure how they work the tip system, but anyways, I hope for the best!
Overall, I was frustrated that Joanna worked there. She was a wonderful massage therapist, and if her workspace had been more conducive to actual relaxation, I would definitely go back to her. It's hard to find a massage therapist that hits the perfect note between friendly and professional.

    What a nightmare!!!

This man is impossible! Have tried numerous times to book an appointment to use my voucher. Booking over a month out, cannot accommodate my mother and I the week of my wedding (the whole reason I bought the damn vouchers) with a months notice. Keeps trying to tell me he can have us both in on the 5th, when I repeatedly tell him she lives out of province and won't even be here yet. Tells me I'm being difficult because I won't send her ALONE on a different day!

If you're SO busy why don't you open on Sundays to accommodate your clients?!?!

UPDATE:  since posting this very true and personal account of dealing with this business I have been receiving harassing emails from his "friends" on yelp. In addition I've received 2 incredibly harassing emails (from him) this evening (all of which contain no punctuation and poor grammar). What awful torment for sharing my actual experience.

UPDATE 2: this business owner keeps posting irrelevant and supposed true accounts of good service here as a comment on everybody's reviews. This is like spam, flag if he posts this garbage instead of actually replying to your experience!

Went for a massage as I had bought a coupon (some group coupon site) for a 90 min reflexology/massage. Went with a friend, and 2 girls came out with buckets/basins for the reflexology first.

It seemed they had just done the 90 minute run with another coupon, a larger guy and his girlfriend and I almost feel as if I caught the masseuse at a bad time as she seemed tired and the reflexology felt more as if she was simply moving her fingers around with hardly any strength.

We split up as they do not have couples rooms. Mine was closest to the front door (the walls are thin!!) and I could hear the front door opening and closing, the phones ringing.. Not so relaxing. To top it off, I felt like the masseuse was simply watching the clock and waiting for it to be over. Long breaks were taken in between moves, and at a certain point I felt as if she was simply moving oil around on my back.

My experience wasn't the same as my friends', who of course said her masseuse focused on the spots she complained about and happily thought it was worthwhile. Seems timing/getting the right girl at this place is what it is all about.

Make your appointments in advance, this place is booked up as they have deals on at least 3 group coupon sites.

UPDATE: Mom bought same coupon and had a good experience with Katherine (sp?) who is actually an RMT waiting to take her exams. Great job.

Since posting my initial review, I have also receiving rude and harassing messages from the owner and other 'friends' of owner and have to agree with Kate S. - what an awful torment for sharing an actual experience.

I went to this spa because I happen to need Brazilian and underarms waxing done and they happen to have a coupon on sale (purchase the services half their listed price).

I asked for a late afternoon appointment and she suggested 3:30 and I agreed.  I waited for about 25 mins.when I got there on time.

The waxer gave me a small towel to cover my privates. She then basically remove the entire towel away and I'm exposed to the world.  Wax was a little on the hot side.  She's a nice lady, but she doesn't have the softer touch - such as holding your skin down when pulling the strips off.

When she was done, I tend to look at myself and what was used: she didn't tweeze the remaining hairs that was not waxed, my lower regions are still sticky when she was done, she used one strip for 2 or more times (garbage can was empty before me - there were 4 strips max in the can) and she used one stick the entire time (which means the wax has touched other people and it's not clean).

The one stick for wax really did it for me. I can't give them more than one star based on that fact.  Their regular prices are pretty high for waxing so I would definitely recommend going elsewhere.

I bought a deal on teambuy for a year of laser hair removal.  they are selling a lot of different deals on different promo sites so it is tough to get in. the staff are all extremely nice. it isn't the nicest place I have been by far and I worried a bit about cleanliness. the worst part was that I was severely burned by the laser machine. I had scars for 5 weeks after treatment.  the owner spoke with me about it and was very apologetic and provided me with info but I didn't feel like I could go back so teambuy graciously gave me a refund.

I wasn't going to write a review after they did give me my money back for the services - but after just talking to my girlfriend whom also had laser hair removal ... I thought people should know .  I bought a coupon for unlimited hair removal for one year and didn't see any bad reviews when I went online. I made an appointment and they failed to tell me my hair had to be 3 mm long so I had to reschedule. I made a spa day appointment for my friends bday a week in advance and when we went there they had no record of the appointment. I finally made another appointment for the laser hair removal and while sitting in the waiting area the massage therapist threw a towel into a basket and missed - saw she missed and stepped over it without picking it up.  In my 15 min waking time employees walked over the towel and no one picked it up. So lazy? When it was my turn the lady who was giving a lady a pedicure sat up and told me she was ready to do my laser hair removal . ??? Odd to me... I was burned badly and she said it was normal. I went to a doctor and he said they had burned the pigment out of my skin and am now left with a scar forever . My friend did her legs and bikini area and has the same thing on her . Image having permanent pink scars on your bikini area and small ones on your legs ? I feel awful for doing this but she lied to me and said she had never burned anyone - when she had scarred my friend even worse. You make your own judgements - but I would skip this place altogether .... :(
