Guys, I know this place seems random, but it is in my opinion the best south Asian food in the city. I don't know why it took me so long to write a review, I think it was because I wanted to keep this place my little secret, but on a recent visit I saw how empty it was on a Saturday night and the scary thought of this place going out of business has stirred me into action.
Now to the important stuff, the food. Let me start off by telling you that everything on the menus is absolutely delicious. I still remember on my first visit with a bunch of buddies we basically ordered everything our heart desired and when we had to pick our favorite dish, we couldn't cause everything we ordered was equally mouth watering. The kababs are outstanding, my favorite being the seekh kababs, but try the bihari and anything else you see that looks good. The restaurant is definitely more Pakistani then Indian, and they're nihari (slow braised beef curry) is outstanding. Usual favorites like butter chicken are on the menu and equally good. For the more adventurous of you, give the brain masala a go. It's kind of like eating scrambled eggs. I know it sounds weird, but it soooo good. Garlic naan is also awesome.
As I said, everything here is good, and unlike other Pakistani places, they don't douse everything with a liter of oil before sending the dishes out. Go try it out! -
