Review from Gillian F.
North Vancouver, BC
On my most recent trip back to Victoria to visit, a friend of mine told me an American Apparel was opening on Johnson street and quickly I thought..."to bad for them Decade will be stealing some of their customers".
The reason I state the above is I have bought clothes from American Apparel and they are expensive....then as previously stated I went back to Victoria to visit and took my regular trip to decade and found AA hoodies and shirts there that were soooo much cheaper then they are in American Apparel.
Besides that though, when you first see Decade...you might think:
a) its a club (I'm a bit stupid, when it first opened I thought hey Victoria has got a new night club...you have to admit Decade would seem like an obvious name for a night club
b) its a really expensive clothing store, especially if you have just walked up and down johnson street; however Decade is affordable and has some neat finds. They have really good sales as well. -
Review from Crystal H.

Le sigh. It's been a year since I last visited Decade. It's still pretty awesome selection wise, the coat I bought last fall is taking me through another autumn already, and still with lots of compliments.
Willing to blow some of my payday bucks, I started picking out clothes to try on. Not one of the three sales staff bothered to say hello, let alone offer to start a fitting room for me. It wasn't until I walked up to the three of them giggling around the counter that one put down the food she was noshing on to open a door for me. I was in the dusty fitting room for 5 minutes or so, listening to them chatting. I liked one of the shirts and one of the skirts I was trying on (my like for the clothes is the only reason I didn't give them 2 stars instead of 3), but my frustration with the lack of attention had me putting my own shoes back on quite quickly, and heading for the door instead of the till. Sorry Decade, I won't be making a special trip to see you next time I'm in Victoria.
Epilogue: I found a Vero Moda (a brand I like that Decade carries) display at the Bay, the prices were cheaper (Bay Days) and at least I expect zero service there.Listed in: A Victorian Weekend, Victoria, BC Beauty!, Go For the Dealzzzzz!

Fashionably affordable? Every tag I flipped over, surprised me for it's reasonable pricing. Black… Read more »
