Bad Experience!!! Owner ripped me off and over-charged me on my order. So sad vendors take advantage of tourists!!! BUT Yelp provides an avenue to warn others - so in a way I'm

I'm sitting here right now watching the crowds walk by and sipping on a caffe. It's quite a busy place with people popping in, ordering a pastry and caffe before work. The people who work here are pleasant and the food is good and reasonably priced. Our go to place while we are visiting Florence!

Mamma mÃa, this place is good! Located conveniently next to the train station, Deanna has a wide variety of beautiful pastries and snacks. Make sure to get a cannolo! It's filled with chocolate chips, huge, and has a wonderfully crispy shell. I also got a plate piled high with bacon, eggs, and tomato served on lettuce that was much more tasty than I could have ever expected. My family ordered different plates, each one delectable and fully enjoyed. The place is usually full, so grab a seat wherever you see one, pick whatever looks good from the display case, and enjoy!

Just okay. Lady gave us rude looks when we came in with our luggage. They're right next to the train station, what do they expect. We ordered 3 gelatos, pastry and a beer. So it's not like we were just sitting around taking up tables. Not a great welcome to Florence.

The location is very convenient; just outside the Firenze SM Station. This was our standard breakfast spot during our 4 days in Firenze. I specifically loved their Creme Cornetto! Cappuccini were good. They have at the bar and at the table prices, and like most places, at the bar prices are cheaper.
1.10 EURO for a cappuccino
1 EURO for croissant (cornetto)
Service is good; they warm up my cornetto :-)
They carry so many other bakery goodies that I wanted to try, but never got the chance. They looked delicious.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Trina V.Colorado Springs, United States116161May 1, 2016
Probably our favorite coffee shop in our entire visit! We went to Rome, Venice and Florence and Deanna was the best! The coffee was really good, the pastries were to die for and the service was great. I've been in the coffee business in the US for 20 years, so I kinda know what I'm talking about. This place is great! The prices are super affordable as well. Right across from the train station. Do yourself a favor and go here everyday of your visit!

The second floor of Deanna is now gluten free! (Senza glutine). We stopped in on our way to the bus station after seeing the senza glutine sign in the window. I popped upstairs to check out this supposed gluten free cafe and was quite surprised!
It doesn't look like much as all of the pastries are individually packaged, but it reassures me that there was no contamination from the traditional bakery downstairs. There is a wide selection of pastries, valdostana, pizzas, and lasagne. I had a fazzoletti and bought a piece of valdostana to eat for lunch. No, the puff pastry wasn't as light and airy as I remember traditional to be, but for a gluten free girl who's almost had her fill of almond cookies and panna cotta, it was wonderful!
There are some prepackaged items as well, including crackers, pasta, and breadsticks if you're staying in the area and want to take some groceries with you. We've been able to find gluten free products in many pharmacies, but this was the first "freshly made" assortment we've come across. Definitely worth stopping in if you're coming to Florence by train or bus as it's on the corner between the two.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
