I've been here a few times... it's a cute place, clean and well decorated, if rather small.
Last time I tried the shellac manicure, and it's the first time in my life I have ever had a manicure last without chipping. I am so hands-on in my life and so impatient and never maintain nail polish, so I usually don't bother with a manicure very often. The shellac didn't chip at all - there were maybe two slight scratches after a few days. Now my nails have grown out and the shellac peels a bit at the bottom, but it's actually easy to peel it off once it has gone past its useful lifetime. Much easier than rubbing at it with nasty chemical nail polish remover.
So for me, way, way better than a normal manicure! I don't know what other spas/salons offer shellac, but Dawa gets some points for introducing me to it and giving me something that actually holds up. -

I've been to this spa at least 3 times and the first two were mediocre services and lets just say it was 3 strikes your out.
My last visit I had purchased a hot stone massage daily deal and when I booked the appointment, I specifically mentioned this deal and specified that it was for a hot stone massage. When I arrived, before my service started, I gave Dawa the deal form. A friend of mine was also using her facial daily deal so we booked what we thought would be one after the other, when in fact we were both put in the room together. This wasn't a big deal, it was a girly day out, we rolled with it.
When my massage started I patiently waited for the hot stones to be applied but after the first 20 minutes I asked and mentioned that I had in fact booked a hot stone massage, the worker replied that Dawa had told her to do a normal massage, she didn't know anything about it, and that she'd talk to Dawa AFTERWARD.
Afterward, I spoke to Dawa, who didn't seem to care at all that I'd booked one service and got another. She merely said, they didn't have enough time to heat up the rocks because I didn't specify. Uhm? AND that a normal massage is pretty much the same thing as a hot stone massage anyway.
WHAT??
She clearly made an error, didn't clarify in her notes that this was a hot stone, even though she had two chances (on the phone, and after talking to her at the front desk when I arrived). She could have done *something* but instead blamed me, the client, and I left that place for the last time.
If she had been gracious about it, and given me, say 10% off my next treatment or anything at all, I wouldn't be writing this awful review.
Not good customer service AT ALL. -

I just got a hot stone massage and I thought it was really good, clean, and worth the money. The staff is really friendly and they provide a really calm atmosphere for the hot stone massage. She asked me a couple times if the heat of the stone massage was good as well.
Overall, I was impressed and recommend it to others. -

Ive known Dawa for years and everytime im in Van i stop by her place for a massage. Her prices are reasonable and the experience is always first class. She is very friendly and energetic. I would HIGHLY recommend her spot.

I've been here twice since I bought a bunch of group deals. They always seem to have a deal going on. Both times I got a couples massage, since the deal I got was for hot stone massages.
Both times were ok. My big pet peeve is when estheticians don't ask for preferences. Both times I was never asked if the pressure was good or warned when a hot stone was put on my body. It seemed like they were just going through the motions.
The first time, they up sold me into getting the "customized" facial. It was totally not custom. My fiance and I got the same exact facial. We do not have the same skin at all.
I would not recommend this place. It was crapped and the people there are not very friendly. -

My friend and I went to get the shellac manicure and pedicure with a deal, before we went to Mexico. Within a couple hours one of the nails had peeled off and within a couple days being on my trip my nails already started chipping. I'm pretty sure they said their shellac polish was an imitation brand but still the same quality but it definitely wasn't. I would not recommend coming here. My friend also received rude treatment from the owner when she contacted her to tell her about her disappointment in the nails.

I had a teambuy voucher for a 1 hour hot stone massage. The massage was great and it was obvious that Leena knew what she was doing and also enjoyed her job. She was very thorough and aware of whether the stones were too hot or the pressure too much. Hot stone massages can be a hit or miss- but this was a hit and I really enjoyed it. Also, despite being a few minutes late, she still provided a full one hour massage.

I had a mani-pedi here today and had wonderful service! Dawa Spa has a very relaxing and comfortable ambience to it. Great conversation with the aesthetician but also got to read a bit of my book :) I will definitely go here again.
