I agree with Jordan on this one, Food is tasty and price is cheep but they REALLY need to clean this place up. Picture spilling soy sauce all over the floor...k now imagine a child trying to clean it up, leaving the residue to attract dust. NOW picture leaving it like that for a few years and continuing to add to the mess, only to attract more dust and fruit flys.
Its truly sad this place tastes so damn good, and is cheeper then most 'all you can eat joints'.
I still go there, but I try not to touch anything, and I watch out for the splinters from the super cheap chopsticks.
I gave it a 3 for the food and the service. P.S. dont use the bathroom, not just because it is the shits (no pun intended), but because the floor is so greasy on the way down the hall that it was comparable to running on ice. -

vegans and discerning eaters, stay the fuck away. this place is diiiiirty! the food bar where you fill the bowl--just gross. soo dirty. their choice of veggies was pretty sad. i asked the cook to use seperate utensils for my vegetarian meal (some places will do this, and clean off a spot on the grill for you!) and he said 'ok' but didn't!! they give you soup with the meal but it has chicken in it so i didn't try it.
this place needs a fresh coat of paint and a serious scrubdown. it's super gross. -

Bck when we lived in the west end 4 years ago, we liked this place a lot. But it's gone downhill.
The food is the same (tasty) the service is the same (not necessary), and the price is the same (quite cheap), but it's starting to look quite dirty. The serving area had spills everywhere, and the utensils were all sticky. Not very trustworthy when you're handling raw food in adjacency to fresh veetables.
Anyways, I felt a little ill the next morning. Rumbling tummy, and other issues of which I won't go into detail. I can't prove it was the Mongolian BBQ, but with my pregnant wife, who wants to risk it? -

This place is disgusting...me and my friend went to eat here the other night. The place was a mess. The vegies and utensils were all touching each other, everything was soo messy and gross.. they kept refilling the sauces, but I dont think they ever clean the containers. The guy making the food had two long big chopsticks.. he kept touching the floor with them and he wore dirty gloves with holes in them. Ew me and my friend walked out after my friend finding her chicken still RAW! That was the last and final straw. This place is GROSS never coming back.

I used to go here all the time years ago and last night I thought I'd try it again.
The station where you choose your meat and veggies was a mess which maybe should have been my first clue. Everyone had to dig around/touch everything to get what they wanted.
I took it to go and the food tasted fine but I woke up at 2am feeling nauseous. I spent the rest of the night with really brutal food poisoning. I didn't make it into work the next day and felt so horrible. I couldn't even keep water down.
Highly NOT recommended. -

I have been hear a couple times but I am having a very hard time convincing myself to go back after my last visit.
The food itself is good, the value is good and the service is OK but not fabulous.
The reason for the 2 star rating: HAS ANYONE LOOKED AT THEIR CEILING? There is about 10 years of greasy residue coating every ceiling tile in that place...really makes me question the condition of their kitchen.
I was last there with my grandma (a big clean freak!) and found myself praying she would not look up because there is nothing my grandma loves more than creating a scene in a public place! -

This place is definitely somewhere you can get a huge meal for very cheap, but it's probably a case of "you get what you pay for" (ie. my stomach was a bit off after I ate here).
I love the concept of being able to choose your own veggies, meat and sauce, but I wouldn't say the quality and cleanliness standards are the highest here.
So yes, the stir fry is tasty, and you do get soup and rice even if you don't opt for the all-you-can-eat (not necessary - one bowl is huge), but I don't think I'd rush back. -

Yes the slogan is true, Mongolian Grill isn't just for breakfast anymore. It's about time. Low prices, high quantities.
Trust, you will leave with enflamed taste buds and an uncomfortably full stomach. The place draws a crowd, but most don't linger and so don't fret, you'll get in soon enough. -

I've been here a numerous amount of times due to my Fiance's large appetite. We always ask for the All You Can Eat option.
Usually end up eating one a half bowls haha.
The food is great, the vegtables and such all look real fresh, the meat is frozen but I think it is the only way to prevent it from getting bad.
The fact that they cook it in front of you, will give you a bigger appetite, it makes the smell of the food just jump right out and there is usually a long line (for dinner anyways) which also really helps your appetitte build.
Sometimes they have two cooks using half of the grill which helps the line speed up a lot, but usually it is just one, which is why I have removed one star. Time seems to really add up when you are here so if you are looking for something fast, I would not recommend this for you.
The price is very reasonable. -

The Davie Mongolian grill may not have as wide a selection as the location on Broadway but the food is consistently awesome, the vegetables fresh, and the prices reasonable. This has been one of my favourite stand-bys for years and never fails to satisfy.

When ever we are in Vancouver, this is one of our stops. Solid Mongolian BBQ. Don't follow their directions for spicing just be generous with a mix of ingredients if you want it hot.

This place is very clean and is always stocked up on all the yummy stuff. Its cheaper to go at lunch where they have the all you can eat option. You just scoop out all the frozen noodles and veggies you want into a bowl and the cook heats it up in front of you in less then a minute. Definitely a great addition to davie st

The chef at the front was very nice and didn't mind that I was coming up so often. I really enjoyed the noodles and vegetable options. The sauces were awesome and really allowed you to be creative with the mix and matching. Definitely try the teriyaki with garlic, ginger, and chili accents. They also offer you a list of ideas for the sauce plus the proportions.
