Review from Paul R.

If you get in early enough for a meal, the food is on par for pub fare (it just sounds more unique and appetizing then it really is), and a good selection of beers.
The service is quick, and the girls are generally attractive, and very personable.
If you're going a little later, there is live music after 10 pm, $5 cover for those of you who care, and you can grease the bouncer if you choose to opt out of the line that usually never lasts longer then 30 min.; however, be forewarned, some of them are not familiar with the word gratuity, so you may need to dumb it down to "I'll give you money to go in right now".
The band plays various covers on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with the some random? bands throughout the week that are pretty good; the service at the bar is quick, and the bar tenders even engage in some banter. The waitresses and bus girls get snappy and pushy, probably due to the stubborn drunks who choose to stand in the service lane, or spend the evening complimenting their earrings that resemble fly fishing tackle.
The crowd tends to be a bit older (mid 20's plus) with a few younger girls, sort of a sausage festival, so all the single ladies... ;) (the wink is of an invitational nature)
Generally, a good place to grab grub, a few beers, and spend the evening with the guys. There is even a little dance floor to showcase your junk, just watch for the 3 cliche girls who seem to always be there and can't hold their liquor, literally and figuratively and are enjoying one of their dance offs. -

A nice pub with a waterfront view. Very good selection of beers. Prompt service without attitude. Food was ok. The soup was very good! All in all a nice place to stop and have a pint!

Place was great. Good food, great local micro brew selection, and good service. I don't understand why anyone would call this a "dive" bar... If you think this is a dive bar, you've clearly never been to a real dive bar before.
Darcy's is a tasteful pub with good food and a good, comfortable atmosphere--end of story. Definitely check this out for a quick bite and a tasty micro brew if you're in Victoria. -

So...
I've been sitting on this review for about a year. It's been saved and I stare at it not knowing what to write. It makes me angry.
I usually make notes in my saved drafts as to what I want to talk about but all I have is "The girls". So I guess that's the big selling point. "The girls" are smoking hot and know a lot about beer. So that probably adds to the hot-o-meter.
The food is decent pub food ans the space is much larger than expected. Lots of traditional dark wood and a handful of the necessary flat screen TVs. What's really nice about this place is you can see the sun set over the water if you sit near the window and aren't distracted by "The girls".
Kinda sucks that you need to pay cover in the evenings for a pub but I guess they're charging because of "The girls" and that's what draws the fellas to this watering hole. Or maybe it's because they have a band at night. Whatever it is come early, skip cover, eat, drink, then watch "The girls" dance.
Feels great to get this pestering review off my plate. I never want to see a saved review with just "The girls" again... or at least until nextweek.
Overall, the pints are cheap and the selection is vast. Service is quick and knowledgeable. Come here just don't get suckered into paying cover for this place as it's definitely not worth it. -

Darcy's is lively, bright, inviting, well respected by locals and continuing visitiors.........not a 'dive' but a divo. All ages go....all attire is obvious.
Bar seating for at least 20 peeps, at least 20 brew taps featuring many of the micros of the region as well as European favorites. No fewer than nine wide screens throughout the joint so you won't miss your favorite game, live.
Window seating, also, will let you take in the action on-the-street....or beyond at the Inner Harbor.
A bar menu that offers local treats and basics. Stephan and crew (The Girls) do a great job at making sure you are well satiated. -

Good busy fun bar,
Line ups can be annoying on thursday, friday, saturday.
Sunday night, this is the only place to be in Victoria.
Great live house bands playing wide variety of cover tunes.
Drinks are a litte expensive for the type of bar that it is but par for the course in victoria.
Casual atmosphere with small dance floor -

For some reason Darcy's Pub was one of my favorite "dive-like" bars in Victoria. We stopped in for some beers before heading back to our hotel to get ready for dinner.
Of course though, I probably wouldn't come here in the evenings at the risk of it turning into a frat house with cover charges and all. We had great service here and plenty of beers to chose from though. I'd come back here for sure next time I'm in Victoria. -

This was our first meal in Victoria and it was pretty good. Darcy's Pub attracted us because it was a sunny day and they have outside seating overlooking the waterfront. The beer selection is extensive and I tried the Granville Island Hefeweizen because I had tried it before and liked it. A pint is $6.75 which is reasonable but not cheap either. I had the half portion of pacific cod which was outstanding-I enjoyed the light yet crispy batter with dill. The asian coleslaw was a welcome surprise and it tastes so much better than normal coleslaw. My husband really enjoyed his lamb burger which he had not seen before. We both requested to have the fries with cheddar cheese and gravy as an upcharge and it was worth it - YUM. Salty yes but delicious. The service is pretty good, and as already mentioned, the waitresses are good looking.

Loved the food, view and service here.
Had fish and chips on a weekday. Added onion rings and a second piece of fish for about $3 total. Great value. Fish was very tender and the batter was fantastic.
Service was very attentive and friendly.
View overlooking the bay was spectacular.
Recommended for it's great value, taste and service. -

Had a great time listening to the live band that was playing and the atmosphere of the pub, even though the place was packed there are places where one can sit down still hear the music and talk with friends. This is a great place to visit after hours during the week or weekend.

Had a decent meal here. I had to try the fries with gravy, cheese, bacon and green onions. I liked it. We also had a steak sandwich with onion rings. Both were good. The batter on the onion rings was quite good. Good, but not stellar. It is also a very noisy place.

This was By Far the BEST hamburger I've ever had. It's the Darcy Burger and what makes it special is it's not just hamburger. They mix half ground beef and half ground pork. Has a nice peppery flavor. I had the white cheddar and sauteed mushrooms added. It was phenominal. My boyfriend had the Ruben and he really liked that too! It was nice sitting outside and listening to the musicians play too. I will certainly go back my next visit. Plus the view is wonderful!
