Review from Tracy P.

I love this place! It's tiny, it's welcoming and it's relaxed. This, to me, embodies the "hole-in-the-wall".
The old wood paneling, wooden everything has this appeal that screams, "have a seat, have a beer, and have a good time". You can't help but smile at the eclectic Korean pop music, up loud enough to enjoy, without having to shout over it.
The various faded sharpie autographs are undeniable proof, that many a Korean have come in and enjoyed themselvs thusly.
I've never been to an authentic Korean pub, but I imagine, if I did, it would be something akin to this place. Lovely, attentive waitresses! I really appreciated that she didn't smother us, but whenever she checked in, she was always exceedingly polite, making sure "everything taste delicious?".
the $9.99 pitcher of Sleeman's was great and I've come to realise that Korean food, with its salty/sweet/sour, hot/cold, spicy flavours, are the perfect compliment to a cold beer.
We ordered Dolsot bibimbap, Bulgogi, Seafood udon, kimchi stew. We received a free dish of pork cutlet, salad and fries (which came with an odd sweet cream dip...), part of the Sunday special (along with the $9.99 pitchers).
With all that food, we were beyond stuffed, and for the relatively wallet-friendly price of 15/person.
Yet another wonderful, welcoming Korean restaurant that proves that there's more to Korean food than just All-You-Can Eat BBQ. -

Ooh! Cool...
Tracy P below me said most of what I was thinking... it also has a quieter and more relaxed vibe since it's just off the main drag and near residential complexes.
I craved some late night munchies the night of the Canucks game, but they were all out of rice. =/ Apparently, I guess rice sells fast during game nights? Crap... oh well, I settled for some yam fries and edamame.
Great spot if you're staying at the HI-Downtown location 1 block away.Listed in: Vancouver, BC

Very tasty stuff here. Went here on a Friday night around 8PM and it wasn't too crazy. Got the Bibimbap and Takoyaki. Bibimbap was very good, loved the raw egg cracked on top. Spicy enough to be enjoyable with the red sauce, but not painful. Takoyaki was just amazing... It's obviously house made, and it was just perfect. Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, and the octopus was nice and chewy. Great consistency all around. It's ironic to find such good takoyaki in a Korean place, but what are you gonna do? Prices aren't too bad either considering it's in the West End. Fed two for less than $25 all together.
