After reading the great reviews on Yelp I decided to visit Dairy Cream with a friend. The ice cream parlor lived up to its reviews and I am now a Dairy Cream fan.

Me and my friend decided to order the funnel cake for two topped off with strawberry and blueberries. It came out to almost $10...which is a pretty decent price for the quantity you get and it's probably cheaper than Wonderland anyways. Btw, they only accept cash so make sure you have cash on hand. However, if you don't they have an ATM available.

The funnel cake was hot so you know it came out fresh and it was loaded with a ton of toppings so they weren't cheaping out compared to other places. Me and my friend couldn't even finish everything off the plate but we did finish off the actual funnel cake. There was a lot of ice cream but since ice cream is cheaper than the funnel cake we didn't finish that off.

I will definitely drop by this place possibly one more time before the summer is over and try their belgian waffles (hopefully it's yummy as Wanda's). My friend might even bring her boyfriend in this week because if it's your birthday you get 1 free item from Dairy Cream (besides their cakes...obviously).

Lovely ice cream place. I love going to this ice cream place in early evenings during summer. We grab some ice cream and head to the park to talk about things.

The ice cream is very delicious. Lots of choices with the flavors and toppings.

There is usually a line-up at this place, but service is rather quick. But they only accept cash.

It is a good place to drop by if you are in Mississauga area.

Don't have to wait for a carnival, fair or wonderland to get me some funnel cake.

This is the hot spot during the spring, summer and fall seasons along the Lakeshore. The line ups are ridiculous but definitely worth the wait. And I would suggest walking to this place from the plaza just west of it that has the shoppers drug mart, b/c the area they have for parking is tiny and it gets packed really quickly.

It's pretty simple dessert at its best, but what separates it from every other dessert place is the FUNNEL CAKE. You don't have to spend $30 to go to Wonderland just to get a $10 funnel cake anymore. You can get it cheaper and it taste way better than the one at any Fair, Carnival or Amusement Park. As well the fruits that they use is so so fresh. Besides the funnel cake you can get Ice Cream, Banana Splits, and a Slushie to cool you off during our ridiculously hot summer.

If you do end up going make sure you bring cash b/c there is no debit but there is an ATM but do you really wanna pay for the extra fee of $2, when that two dollars could go towards an ice cream or even better yet stay in your bank account?

    Items to definitely get:

    - funnel cake with strawberries and vanilla ice cream

    Oh, Dairy Cream.

Every single person in Mississauga knows about this gem!

As others have mentioned this is a regular haunt for those who live in Sauga - and even for those who live further away will make the trip down to Lakeshore for their huge selection of ice cream and/or funnel cake!

They're so popular that they're now open all year round (used to be just open in summers) - so you can enjoy a cool treat any day.

Always a line-up out the door, but service is super fast.

There's no indoor seating, but the whole point is to enjoy your treat outdoors under their old school sign on a picnic table/bench. :)

A couple of my friends love it so much - we recently made a stop there on their wedding day - drove in the stretch limo and all!

Man, it seems like whenever a place will dip a cone for you, I give it a top notch rating.  This place obviously is no exception as the sizes are solid.

But what also makes this place unique is their funnel cake! How many places do you know sell funnel cake besides Wonderland or Ribfests?
That's a reason alone to trek to Missy for it.

Still though, I go to Dairy Cream for it's dipped cone which sometimes I have a hard time finishing!

It's a great place to go on a hot summer night but note that lines can be pretty long .  From there, you can hang out in the parking lot and sometimes you can spot some nice muscle cars because that's the only time they come out!

Best place for ice cream in this part of Mississauga.  If it's nice out, there's guaranteed to be a line-up and they will run out of your favourites.  Even when the line-up is out the door, it moves pretty quickly.

The parking lot isn't huge, but sufficient.  All seating is outdoors and the place can fill up fast.  Dairy Cream's customers are just there to have dessert, so you can usually catch someone leaving and take their spot.

I highly recommend the watermelon sorbet!

I've been going to this Cawthra & Lakeshore icon for milkshakes and banana splits since the 80s, though it's been around a lot longer. You can't think of the Dairy Cream without thinking hot summer nights, long lines of people hanging out the door, cars and loud stereos, and sticky ice cream droplets all over your hands, clothes, and car interior.

I remember as a kid hearing my parents talk about how it was slowly declining in quality and service since their teenaged years, and in the last 4 or 5 years, I've been singing the exact same song - a slow nostalgia-death might just be part-and-parcel of its allure, because no matter how much I'm convinced its just not what it used to be, I always find myself back there again each summer, slurping down a great shake.

There was a time when the counter was over-flowing with banana bunches (for the splits and the shakes), and while that amazing display is gone, you can still get a real banana mixed into your favorite shake flavors (but make sure to specify you want a REAL banana. A few times in the recent past, they've squirted some nasty-ass banana-flavoring into the mix, which is a mortal sin).

My favorites are mint-chocolate-chip shakes, or chocolate-marshmallow shakes, or strawberry-raspberry-banana shake (they HATE making that last one with the three ingredients, but it's so good!)

You can also get anything else imaginable that's made with ice cream. Including to-go cakes! sweet! (literaly!)

Been going here since I was little.  The ice cream is very good and not expensive.

There will be a line up but it moves quickly.  So it's a must try on a hot summer day.

I was doing one of my random Night-Trips to nowhere when I suddenly found myself at Port Credit.  I'm probably speaking like an East-End guy as you can hear my accent.

All along Lakeshore Rd. the stores were closed and the streets were quiet... All of a sudden I saw a group of people and half of them were KIDS so I went, slowed my drive and saw the sign "Dairy Cream".

Parked and walked by a couple groups sitting on picnic tables and waited inside behind a line of 5 people.  I observed what they had and most had the Chocolate Dipped Vanilla/Chocolate Dairy Cream Cone.

I paid at the register and walked out as inside was pretty much an ordering counter with no seats.  I went back to my car leaned back in the cool summer breeze and took a taste.

The Dairy Cream was SMOOTH, FLAVOURFUL and RICH.  I will definitely be back here this summer and the next and the next...

Worth the drive even from East-end!

This place was recommended to me by my doctor of all people. For the record the shop is awesome and I am definitely a fan. I'd go more often if it wasn't too far from Richmond Hill.

What I love about their ice cream is that it is smooth and isn't too sweet so when you get it dipped in chocolate the sweetness balance is just perfect. When my mom visited Canada I brought her here and that cone was one of the most memorable things she took from her trip. For an ice cream cone to stand out it has to be that good, or, the sadder explanation, I just brought her to a lot of mediocre places. I'd say it's a bit of both.

I love places like this.  Small, local and great choices.  Who doesn't love ice cream?  Best thing about this place is they make fresh waffles and funnel cake!  I thought you could only get funnel cake at the fair or Wonderland.

The prices are great and the serving sizes are huge.  I ordered a small chocolate dipped cone and it was more like a large.  Next time I will get a junior.

They have amazing sundae flavors.  I had to ask what some of them were.  Jack and Jill?  Chocolate and marshmallow.  My boyfriend ordered a caramel and pecan parfait that was huge and covered with whipped cream.  It even had a cherry on top.

Be for warned that they only accept cash but you won't need much of it.

Old fashioned out door ice cream outlet like in cottage country,  open seasonally, the ladies there will make you a mean Blizzard like dessert with their favorite combinations if you ask nicely

A must try for the entire GTA! This ice cream joint retains all of its old school charm, I think it is around 50 years old? They have awesome ice cream and they have a vast variety of flavors and topping. Oh, and the real draw for me is the Funnel Cake, forget Canada's Wonderland, this is the place to get your fried dessert goodness. They also have selection of other treats, such as ice cream cakes, sorbets, frozen yogurt etc. Lines are always long, sometimes it is difficult to get parking, but everything is fast and efficient. It is open seasonally, but it seems as they though they are open longer every year. Do make a trip here at least once a summer, and if you need some sort of justification, drive a a few blocks west and Port Credit has an amazing selection of restaurants, and stop by Dairy Cream for dessert later.
