So has anybody here not ever grabbed some coffee at beano and go kill an hour browsing the magazines here? Its one of my favourite things to do, Sunday morning coffee and the NY times sunday edition.
The art and design section is wild. The music selection really good, Ive only ever seen wax poetic magazine at the inner sleeve in marda loop but these guys carry it.
Ive only been in love a few times, once with a Cheeseburger, once with a Zimbabwean donkey herder and once with this shop.
I give it 5 Patty hearst's out of 5 -

Great selection of hard-to-find magazines and foreign publications here. Daily Globe holds true to the name and offers magazines from all over the world, plus Alberta favourites like gun mags, fishing mags, car mags, porno mags, etc, etc.
But anyone who likes reading will find a magazine that fits their tastes here. If you've heard of a magazine, it's probably here or the miserable lady at the counter will order it for you..... -

I just bought $200+ worth of photo editing software for $5 at this shop. At the cash desk there's a shelf full of DVD and CD giveaways that were attached to various magazines. It's a treasure trove of goodies on the cheap.

I love magazine and newspaper shops and I didn't even know we had an amazing one just on 17th Avenue. This is a long shop of literally hundreds of mags; every category that you can think of you will find it here. It is well organized and very clean and I was quite impressed with titles I never knew were within reach.
Chinese fashion magazine "Milk" is here as well as another designer mag I have been shopping on EBay for from England called ID. I want to come back to this store when I am not inundated with Xmas parties and presents so I can really take my time.
I am so incredibly pumped that there is a newshop location so close to my home. -

The Daily Globe is a bright, tidy magazine & newspaper store on 17th Ave SW. No matter what kind of mag you're looking for, chances are you'll find it at the Daily Globe. I myself frequent the Daily Globe for their wide selection of sports magazines - they have one of the best collections in the city and carry a mag for every sport imaginable, from the popular to the obscure.
Besides their vast magazine selection, they also carry an array of international newspapers.
A lot of people say that print media is a dying art form, but it's surviving and thriving at the Daily Globe. -

I've always been a huge fan of Newshops. They remind me of travel. Located on trendy 17th Avenue, this shop has nearly every magazine and major news publication on their shelves. Chances are, if you enjoy magazine, you can probably find the one you're looking for in here. They usually don't even mind if you check a few of them out in the store.
They also sell cigarettes and other typical stationary. The staff here aren't the most friendly, but it is quick and efficient.
I dig this place.
