I'd driven past this place about a thousand times and never really noticed it but a couple of friends suggested I check it out, so I stopped in for a visit to this little sushi restaurant that's tucked in behind a Domo gas station, in what used to be a fast food restaurant (Mr. Sub?).
Fine dining this place is not. They've done minimal renovations to the building so all the tables and chairs are still attached to the floor, though they've added pillows to the chairs to make it a more comfortable dining experience. Decor is a bit chintzy though on theme.
They have some pretty interesting and unique items on the menu, though I opted to get the Good Box combo which contained some maki and nigiri sushi and a miso soup for I think $12.
The sushi isn't exceptional but I had no complaints about the freshness or quality - it was all tasty and presentation was not bad at all.
The service was fine, though our server seemed very shy and quiet - definitely had the feel of one of those family run places where the servers are the owners kids.
I'd go back for a snack or casual dinner, especially since it's really convenient to me. It's nothing fancy but I enjoyed the food and it was reasonably priced.
