We should have known better. It looks like a tourist trap, being slightly flashy and perfectly located, but we walked in anyway. It started raining heavily and this seemed like a godsend...
At least they had good beer on tap! -

Typical pub food!
We tried to order French eats... opted for their prix fix menu. Started with the cream of Broccoli Soup. Chicken Croquette for appetizer and Lobster Fettucini for the entree.
It was all pretty decent. There was not much of a wow factor for me, aside from the canadian beer! I don't remember the name... blue something. It was good because it tasted a lot like Corona! -

I'm not sure why this place has such lousy reviews, I had a great experience dining here.
I drove into the city for dinner, parked the car, decided it was way too cold to walk further than the corner, and wandered into the D'orsay. We were greeted and took a seat at the bar while our table was cleared.
For dinner, we had a feast. The menu on-line isn't the same as the menu that we ordered from, so I can't say exactly what I ordered, but I'll describe it as well as I can. We ordered from the fixed price menu (price is based on entree and upgrades can be made for a couple dollars).
To start, we were given a basket of bread. It was served hot with butter. Yum. Second, I had a tomato salad with duck and cheese and nuts. I think the menu said Quebec nuts, I didn't really like the nuts, but the salad was decent. Not my favorite, but not terrible. My date had the spinach and cheese thing, pretty good as well.
Next we had soup. I had the French Onion, it was pretty good, served hot with a thick layer of cheese. My date had the seafood chowder, this was awesome. It was smooth, creamy, and full of sea creatures - mussels, shrimp, scallop, and more.
For dinner, per our server's recommendation, I had the filo dough with deer inside and dried fruit on top. This was awesome. My date had some sort of steak, I didn't steal his because I liked it so much, he cleaned his plate up pretty good.
After eating all that, we were stuffed, but one course remained. Our server told us not to rush. After a while, she took our dessert order, one maple creme brulee and one goat cheese cake. Both were tasty!
For a dinner without a plan, this place was great. Service was attentive and we were able to take our time and enjoy a nice meal. There was a mix of French and English speaking clientele. -

Came here with high expectations built up by online reviews from various sources, but the moment I noticed we were entering Vieux-Quebec (read: tourist HQ) the red flags went up.
True enough, the proportions are adequately American sized, but the food is far from phenomenal. It's an uneducated tourist's idea of French cuisine or fine dining.
Nothing on any plate was offensive, but isn't that the point of places like these? -

Food was average by US standards, which by Québec standards is pretty bad. It took 30 minutes to be seated, they didn't have the beer I wanted, and overall the meal wasn't that impressive. In addition, my girl said it best when she called the waiter "brusque" (at least initially, he eventually warmed).
Stay away if you want the real Québec experience, stop in if you want something bland and/or a drink. -

I'm not sure why the reviews are so low. My partner and I had a great time here. We stopped in for lunch drawn in by the window seating with wide open windows. The ambiance was fantastic! Our waiter was very friendly and they didn't mind that we were sharing an entree for lunch. The beer selection may have been somewhat limited, but the choices were good. Our entree (a curry chicken dish) was very good. We really enjoyed this place for a quick and fun bite.

Stumbled in here because I was really hungry, after having walked about 3 hours, and it was below freezing out and the cold was coming up to my feet through the soles of my shoes.
I started with escargots, which to my surprise came without the shells. I thought half the fun in eating escargots is to extract what little flesh lay hidden in the shell.
Then I had a huge pile of mussels in a white wine, fresh vegetable and cream sauce. I was later told for some reason you don't eat mussels during the winter time in eastern Canada.
Overall, nice casual atmosphere, friendly staff, satisfying food. -

I came here with a group of children and expected it to be a problem. It wasn't. The food was fine for the kids with a couple eating baby-back ribs and one getting pasta. Typical food you would see at an American chain dinner house restaurant. I had the mussels which were good and plentiful but my steak was very small and chewy.
As others said the beers were limited and everything was slightly overpriced
The atmosphere was really nice for the kids with high tables near the open windows and lots of activity in the restaurant to drown out the kid noise. Fun to watch people on the street.
Didn't like the lottery games in the back. -

Hugely disappointed. I've come here almost annually for a nice pint of Irish beer and a good meal, but no more. I don't know if the place has changed hands or not, but the food was terrible and pricey, worse no Irish beer on tap. The house wine was reported as watery by my companion and the French onion soup she had was a block of semi-melted cheese floating on a broth of undetermined nature.
Take my advice and make your way to the Saint-Alexandre pub nearby, for excellent food and a truly wide range of quality drinks all wrapped up in a friendly atmosphere.
