    Amazeballs.

Super impressed with our entire experience at D'lish! The service was amazingly friendly. The food was excellent and the decor is pretty glam.

A previous yelp review mentioned that the clientele is pretty female dominated and that was certainly the case when I was there last fri night.

But D'lish is definitely a great place to start the night before a night out on the town or if you're looking for a chill evening for dinner and drinks. I feel like D'lish will start becoming an e-town staple!

It was my Beloved's turn to plan a date night, and he made reservations at d'Lish, a lovely wine bar on 124th Street.  We started with the cheese plate and thoroughly enjoyed the Piave Vecchio, Sylvan Star Grizzly, and Champfleury cheeses.  Yum!  My favourite was the Grizzly, though the Piave Vecchio was a close second.

Next, we went for three small plates instead of any entrees.  The Roasted Farmer's Market Beets was delicious, though I was disappointed that they substituted goat cheese for the blue cheese listed in the menu.  Not that I mind goat cheese (on the contrary, I love it), but we had made our cheese choices based upon the fact that we'd be getting blue cheese on the beets, so we opted not to go for the blue on the cheese plate.  I think that if you are going to make a significant substitution like goat cheese for blue cheese, then you need to inform the customer beforehand.  I know many, many people who do not like goat cheese and would find this substitution unacceptable.  We also had the Rockin' Risotto Cakes; tasty, but a little on the greasy side.  Our final small plate was JC's Warm 'Shroom Pate which had an exquisite blend of flavours and was delightful, even if the texture was a bit watery.

For dessert, we had the Sweet'n'Squashy Bread Pudding, which was nice, but not as good as my own, if I say so myself.  And we also had the Salty Dark Chocolate Budino which was AMAZING and truly the highlight of the evening, so silky and decadent.  I hated to share it.

I really want to give this place more stars, but I feel that the caliber of food just didn't quite match the price.  If we were only going on the chocolate dessert, cheese plate and beets, I might up the star rating, even with the cheese substitution on the beet salad.  But our whole experience was really only a 3-star deal.

I was also disappointed to learn of some of the changes in the place.  d'Lish has been billed as an "extremely vegetarian friendly" restaurant in Edmonton.  And it used to be, with their Meatless Mondays and a vegetarian Have Faith night on Wednesdays.  Sadly, they have recently cancelled both.  So really, they are like most restaurants in town, offering just two vegetarian entrees.  When I mentioned this to our server, her reply was, "Well, yeah, but the stuffed squash entree is really outstanding."  Yes, yes, I know it is.  But one outstanding vegetarian entree does not an extremely vegetarian-friendly restaurant make.  With the options as they are now, we won't be coming back to d'Lish as often as we had.

My friend and I got so lucky the other night when we walked into d'Lish out of the blistering cold. There were two seats left in the entire restaurant waiting just for us. I often feel somewhat uncomfortable sitting at a bar in a restaurant but my experience at d'Lish wasn't like this at all. It was both elegant and modern.

The bartender was personable and friendly. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered us helpful suggestions on both food and wine. We started our meal with a plate of 3 cheeses. The cheese portions were more generous than some other restaurants offer and we quickly ran out of crostinis. Luckily no one made us feel guilty for asking for extras!

The rest of our meal was equally fantastic. I was really impressed with the variety of vegetarian options on the menu (both tapas and entree portions). I definitely recommend the "Rockin' Risotto Cakes". If we didn't need to attend another commitment later in the evening, I would have been entirely happy to sit at the bar and sip wine for the rest of the evening. Oh well, I'll just have to come back.

One tip: call ahead and make a reservation if you're going on a Friday or Saturday; the place will be full and you might not be lucky enough to snag the last two seats at the bar.

Deliciousness is what I can say about d'Lish!  I love this place, the decor is very urban and modern and the atmosphere is very trendy without feeling pretentious.  Whether you are looking for a great dinner or simply some delicious homemade late night tapas, this is definitely a great place to go!  The service is always great, my last visit they were out of a couple of the beers I was hoping for so she comped the one I ended up order, which was so sweet and unexpected.  I also love they try to use local ingredients and work with local farmers, always great to support non-conglomerates :)

    Overall, I say d'Lish is fantastical :)

Seriously tasty tidbits, wether your're looking for a snack or a full meal. The blackberry pork gnocchi were delightful. The wine selection is spot-on.

I've been to a few events at d'Lish, which really benefited from the big open space that's available once the seating is rearranged. The owner Amanda is friendly and genuinely sweet. The other staff I've interacted with have provided great service.

d'Lish is one of my top Edmonton picks for a girls' night out! It's convenient that the menu is available online. Do be aware it can be difficult to keep your bill low, as you'll want to try everything, and unless you're there when specials are on, it can get expensive.

What a perfect name for this wonderful restaurant and wine bar. Delish, that is! Flavorful, freshly prepared tapas and larger plates for those dining during the evening. We started our evening by sharing the Rockin' Risotto Cakes (sublime with the homemade aioli sauce) and the Meat-a-tarian Flat Bread. Perfect start to our dinner! On to our entrees, the chicken dish, the pulled pork pot pie and the beef tenderloin. Every dish was eye candy but the taste was even better. Rounding out the whole evening was the trendy atmosphere and the warm and friendly service. This restaurant is a keeper. Can't wait to return!

I'm actually very surpassed how many "people love us on yelp" stickers there are in Edmonton. So during my visit I guess I ran into another one. Thanks to Yelp for suggesting this place. Cool thing about this place is that they pride themselves on using local ingredients.

Anyways, they do have bar seating as well as table seating incase you come in small parties and didn't make a reservation. I sat at the bar (which was also nice). On the bar sat a little bowl of popcorn which was tossed in truffle oil and what tasted like maple?  I personally found it kinda stale, so I didn't really have that much of it. My guess is that it sat there since the dinner rush. I did see a bowl of it in the back though.

I ordered a glass of wine (they have regular and big boy sizes) but didn't really know which one to get. I had no idea what they tasted like so I asked for a recommendation. They graciously offered me tastings of several before I selected which one I wanted (that was super nice).

On a side note, apparently they do 2 dollar 2 oz wine samplers in tuesday for anyone who wants to give the whole flight a try.  Or get wasted I guess...

I ordered the lamb chops which came withe hand made herb gnocchi.  The lamb was cooked to perfection. Seriously really, really soft and tender. I was impressed. This was served with a demi-glaze and a side of wild mushrooms/peas/carrots and a bed of gnocchi. Personally I'm allergic to wild mushrooms so I didn't really go wandering into that area (my bad for not warning them).

The gnocchi was pretty interesting. I only say this because they pan fried it after boiling it; adding more flavor to them. Handmade gnocchi is usually pretty good and this was no exception. I would have loved to try the blueberry gnocchi the other reviews talked about.

I could totally see this place as a hangout for people to chill after work and have some wine and maybe a nibble (they also do tapas). Their mains are pretty good too.

Bring you dates to this place cause it's pretty good. With discount nights it makes the price that much sweeter. Oh, and they have a reality series on their website. Have a watch if you want to see how the "magic" happens.

I stopped in here the other night for a glass of wine after a very busy day. Lately, I have been trying to expand my wine palette, and have developed and affinity for Malbec. The glass of Malbec, from Argentina, I tried here almost blew my tastebuds away. It was definitely the richest, boldest one I have had yet.

Needless to say, the wine selection here is impressive and the perfect place for a wine virgin to go. D'lish offers 2 ounce sizes to allow someone to experiment with a variety of wines on the same visit. They also offer food and wine pairings, and a menu that features local food presented in original and creative ways.

D'lish is a classy place to bring a date, hang out, or just drop by yourself. I look forward to coming back and trying some of the food.

I have a minor pesto hangover this morning from my amazing pasta meal last night. Served with red pepper and zucchini, the creamy green sauce was drizzled on top of a near-perfect meal. (Near-perfect because it was too salty for my taste buds.)

Staff helpfully set up a table as soon as we arrived for our awkward number of 3 dinner guests, but weren't as prompt with our food or drinks. Our waitress didn't seem very familiar with the menu, either, but chalk it up to being new.

I would return with a group to try out the platters (like cheese!) and the selection of wine.

I went to d'Lish the other night to get some work done among familiar and awesome people. I sat down at the bar with my laptop and some headphones, and was offered the use of a power outlet.

I was equipped with a highball and some of the best tenderloin I've ever tasted (it was served with mushrooms and some phenomenal, fresh-made gnocchi).

Sitting a the bar was great. I chatted with staff about some of the work they've done with the online videos, and gleaned some insight into what makes d'Lish such an excellent place for customers and its employees: family. I felt like I was part of the d'Lish family, and I was only there for a few hours.

After downing my tenderloin (which I enjoyed with a glass of red wine -- wish I could recall the name, but it was a suggestion of Kirsta, so I simply agreed I needed red wine to accompany my meal -- I decided to try the incredible lavender creme brulee, which was served with hazelnuts and pear slices. It was heavenly!

I will go back to d'Lish again and again. The food is excellent, the staff knowledgeable, and I know I'll always be treated like family there.

d'Lish is awesome. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the dirty names for weekly specials.

My favourite thing about d'Lish though is their commitment to local, seasonal food. Ask about what's on your plate, and you just might learn something new.

Hands-down and two thumbs up, I give d'Lish five bright, sparkly stars!

This restaurant's obvious love affair with food, wine and their refreshing culinary creativity were a symphony of music to my palette and Ode to Joy in my  belly.

We had a UYE (unofficial Yelp event - if you're unfamiliar with Yelp lingo) last Thursday at d'Lish and I am still thinking ... a lot ... about the food.

In fact, I admit I see visions of potato bacon soup shooters, cups of bacon & quail's egg, fresh squid ink-infused pasta tossed in creamy rosé sauce and ginger cake, unexpectedly, constantly, in between thoughts  - like a badly crushing teen who's distracted a 1000 times a day or more by lucid daydreams of Justin Bieber.

I see food. D'lish-ous food - everywhere. I blame the culinary imprints left on my belly last week for triggering this latent sixth sense!

The group of us ordered the "Have a Little Faith" taste with wine pairings. We didn't know what little bite-sized appies would cross our plate but that was half the fun! The other half was savouring top-rate food with peeps who love food as much as I do. The wine list's amazing and the service genuine, enthusiastic and personal.

Thank you D'lish for restore my faith in how good food can be.

I have been here twice now, and each time my tastebuds wept tears of delight.

This is seriously, seriously d'lishous stuff, served up in a great environment with filling portions and taste combinations that are just incredible.

I had the pork tenderloin with apples the first time I went, and I'm pretty sure it's the best pork I'd ever had - melted on contact with my mouth, and the caramelized apples were a declious sweet accompaniment. The potato & yam terraine was also to die for - so rich and buttery!

Meanwhile, the cake I had for dessert was so good I didn't even miss the fact no chocolate was involved!

They also have a great assortment of wines and are knowledgable when it comes to helping you chose the right one for your meal.

Service here is great: the staff are incredibly attentive without being aggravating or overly-solicitous. This is not a place where they wait until your mouth is full to ask how things are and then whisk off before you can swallow & answer!

The setting is adorable & intimate, with the added plus of being able to rent it out for private functions.

I can't wait to go back and have my tastebuds pampered by Amanda and the rest of the crew at D'lish, especially now as they have $2 wine Tuesdays!!

I'm from Dubai and Toronto, been to some of the finest restaurants in both cities, but I must say that d'Lish is by far one of the best I've been to! On a recent visit to Alberta, escaping my life and the hustle n bustle of To, I decided to visit a friend of mine in Edmonton. The moment I landed I felt like royalty...my friend's gorgous condo which seemed more like a stylish loft/town home, manis and pedis in the afternoon, followed by a faboulous dinner at this lovely restaurant!

We were a group of 6, and we started off by wine and some nibbles. Gourmet popcorn...what an ingenious idea!! There were 2 types, truffled oil and maple bacon...i preferred the former but enjoyed the sweetness of the latter..I wish I knew how they did this and I'd have movie nights at
    home in complete bliss!

So now with regards to the food, 4 of us went for the surprise 10 course meal..and boy were we surprised...shocked that it was SOOO d'Lish-ous!
We had a wide variety of different textures, flavours, colours..exactly how a meal should me...innovative creations like Shrimp  with a sauce in shot glasses, scallops,  mushroom crepes, turkey dinner (bread, chutney and turkey balls), beef ribs in mustard sauce...simply DIVINE! all sorts of other goodies too..and portions were terrific! The dessert was tiny, but oh so good..truffled chocolate in some sort of dreamy rasberry coulis sauce garnished with nuts. At that point we didn't mind the smaller dessert as we were so full with everything else. My friend who decided to go with an individual entree had the veggie flatbread pizza...which I tried a little...also baked to perfection.

We were thoroughly impressed by the friendly service, the mouth watering food, the elegant decor...maybe I'm in love with this restaurant because I'm not from Edmonton and  I know I can't visit it that much (we always want what we can't have!) but I have to say...FABULOUS venue..whether you're on a date, a birthday dinner, or simply dining solo , D'lish is the best choice!

If I could give an entire galaxy of stars I would!

I went for some snacks and drinks. The appetizers were very high quality and tasty but imagine my shock when charged $19 for a glass of wine before tax and tip... Definitely check the price of drinks before ordering--I believe a glass of red wine start at $12 and goes up quickly from there.

D'Lish is an elegant & modern wine & tapas bar that serves a unique menu.  Although tapas are originally a spanish idea, the theme of the menu shows phenomenal adaptation.  Unlike other modern loungey places that have a great décor and music serving curious sliders etc; D'lish seems to put a lot of emphasis on the union of creativity, quality, and localness of the food.  Yes - their smoked bacon was purchased locally from the Budapest Deli (http://www.budapestdel...).

Their wine list, I must admit, is not the biggest list you'd find, but that's not at all a bad thing.  They really seem to take their wine seriously too.  Wines ranging from light, palate cleansing, before the meal wines to sleep-like-a-baby dessert wines are sorted out in an easy way on the menu.  Further, they have the perfect compliment to the small plates notion: 2 oz. wine servings!  That's a really cool idea because then, you could literally try out 4-5 types of wines through the evening without the fear of reckless driving.

The ambience is chic as can be with good lighting and comfortable furniture.  They've got this huge rectangular chandelier at the front end of the space which looks especially good when looking from the inside.  They've got a full bar and, on this instance, the lady who served us recommended the bacon infused vodka martini.  It was home-infused over a week.  Definitely a soft and mild bacon flavor with a smokey aftertaste that fits perfectly in the realm of martinis.

We had the 45 minute tapas tasting (it's called "The Faith Taste") in which they serve up to 10 tapas with (optional) wine pairings.  I must say that even though they have a longer version of this tasting, "The Faith Taste" was indeed very filling and included stuff like scallop ceviche, two types of grilled cheese sandwiches (chevrot and regular goat cheese), bacon and quail eggs, bacon potato soup, squid ink pasta in rosé sauce and I think a turkey dish as well.  All in all, it was extremely filling and desserts like banana ice cream, meringue cookies, moist chocolate cake etc.  The Taste is pre-defined by the chef and I'm quite sure if I go there today, the ensemble would be completely different.

Definitely a go-to place.  A little expensive (comes to about $50-60 a person), but totally worth it for the occasional swanky dinner!  I don't make so much money, so I wouldn't be going here every week! :-)

Food was very nice and my companions seemed happy with the wine, but what could have been a decent experience was overshadowed by the phenomenally poor service.

Given, they appeared to be training a waiter on our table, but still... One member of our party of six was left waiting for her salad until well after everyone else was served, I waited 20 minutes until my coffee was cold before anyone remembered to bring the requested sugar, I was asked if I wanted cream or milk, and was then served milk when I requested cream.

And to cap it all off, we weren't informed about the no-splitting the bill payment policy until after the bill arrived, leaving us to beg and plead before we were allowed to pay using different credit cards. I came to the restaurant with high hopes, having read some of the reviews here, but the service we got this evening was even worse than average for a town with pretty evenly bad service. To end on a positive note, the decor is pleasing, and if you pick restaurants based on nice bathrooms, this one would be a winner.

I wanted to love this restaurant. I really, really did. I was excited about coming here because of all the positive things that were being said. Unfortunately, my experience did not live up to the hype.

I'll first say that it's a beautiful space with an intimate ambiance. When you walk in, you're greeted by a gorgeous bar and a chalkboard with wine specials. The bartenders are quick to greet to ensure you're not waiting for a table for longer than necessary.

My group was five people and we started with a cheese and charcuterie platter. While the server was funny and friendly, she wasn't able to tell us where the prosciutto was from and given that d'Lish advertises itself as a restaurant that supports eating locally, this was surprising. When my friend asked a second time where the proscuitto was from (after he hadn't received an answer the first time and after we were served the dish), the server answered, "What does it matter? You'll eat it anyway." What kind of response is that?! The three cheeses and two meats were tasty but this was overshadowed by the poor response to the very valid question posed about where the meat came from.

Our mains ranged from salmon to rabbit to gnocchi to a vegetarian gratan. The best of these dishes was the gnocchi - it was cooked well and had great balance of flavour. I wish I'd ordered that instead of the rabbit, which had great sides and a nice beet glaze but was cooked far too long and had the texture of packed sawdust. Overall, the portion sizes were too small for the $25+ being charged for each dish.

The desserts were the best course overall. I had a chai creme brulee and it was served with a pastry crust, which was a welcome departure from every other creme brulee I've eaten. My friend's panna cotta was "the best" she's ever eaten - the texture and flavours were great.

The 2 out of 5 rating may seem harsh. But I can't overlook the fact that the rabbit, the whole point of my main course, was cooked to the point of being bone dry. No amount of glaze (and there was a lot) or tasty sides hid this fact. Aside from this, d'Lish very obviously advertises the fact that it's a localvore restaurant. If you billet yourself as such, make sure your staff are trained to speak about the food and don't offer seafood. If you aren't prepared to be scrutinized, don't make claims. I contrast this with one of the best meals I had this year at Lee in Toronto. The server knew absolutely every detail about the menu: where every ingredient was from, which dishes were celiac-friendly, how each dish was prepared. She never once had to check with the kitchen to answer these questions and the restaurant didn't make claims about what they were or weren't trying to do (e.g. supporting local producers because they didn't, exclusively, and offered seafood items).

Finally, the menu is confusing: is it a tapas menu or a more traditional one? Why both? The best restaurants choose one theme and execute it to the absolute best of their ability. I feel that ambitions are high here but the execution doesn't live up. At least not yet.

Many of the producers providing ingredients for the restaurant are people I know or who are friends of the people in my group. One of the main reasons we went to the restaurant is to support these producers. After this experience, we will support them elsewhere.

    I. Love. D'Lish. I have been twice, once with a friend and once with my fiance. My friend was the one who introduced me to the place and told me that we had to try the 7 selection Faith Taste. It was amazing, which is why I decided to bring my fiance there for his birthday. We opted for the Faith Taste again (as they change what is served ever so often) and we also went with the wine pairing. I think next time I go I am not going to go with the wine pairing just for the fact that I wanted more wine! It was a really tiny glass, with a very small portion of wine and really we only got two different wines to taste and one port. I loathe port. While the food was amazing (especially the scallops and I don't even like scallops) my second visit seemed to not actually fill us up as a full meal might have. And to pay that much and still be hungry...
The server was great though, very knowledgable and I love the chic decor and feel to the restaurant. It's so intimate and relaxing. I'll be back for the next menu change. I wonder if I will ever order off the menu myself...

dLish is great value on Tuesday when 2oz tasters are $2, but the staff is a bit light on wine knowledge.

There are lots of tapas to chose from for sharing, but too much embellishment on some of the  items, and the same garnishes were used on too many dishes.  We couldn't taste the meat in the carpacio due to the horseradish creme fraiche base, despite my love of horseradish. The radishes were a turnoff for a few in our group and kept reappearing on new dishes. The fried capers were a new twist, but over used.

The dessert was a chocolate souffle and was to die for....seriously. I'm sure I am not the only one who burned their fingers trying to scrape-off the crumb remnants from the empty dish.

The ambiance reminded me of Moriarty's, European cool with a tasteful, if trendy bubble chandelier.

A nice way to try new wines and share new tastes with friends for a reasonable price.

There is a reason to always try someplace twice before passing judgement....d'Lish is the reason.
I should preface this review by saying that the first time I went was for their S. Valentine's Day dinner and wine (7 courses with accompanying wine for each course).  On this evening, with the exception of coordinating staff signals (wine was brought either before or after the course, cutlery was either taken away or we had to keep it), the meal was ABSOLUTELY wonderful.  Wonderful flavours, combinations of flavours that didn't get lost or overwhelm each other....from the first course to the last, I must say, we were really excited to have this experience and know that it is a nice summer's evening leisurely long walk away...
Fast forward to April 7: Not sure what happened, but I found myself wondering a bit as to what happened in the kitchen.
Don't get me wrong, it was still good, however, not exceptional as the first time and for the most silly of things:  Too much salt principally and then there were the "chestnut gnocchi".  Yes, as you may be able to tell, I am Italian (not born there, however, I like to pride myself on a few things that my mom and notably others from there have taught me about eating and cooking Italian food:  simplicity is the key and if you can't do it simple, don't try it....you are only asking for disaster).  This is what happened with the gnocchi.  Gnocchi are already deceptively easy to not do correctly or well, however, when you work with chestnut flour it is even worse since it can be tricky if you don't mix it with the right amount of wheat flour (and thus be "humid") which means you'll be making mushy gnocchi....which is basically what I found myself eating.  This aside, the Spring Sirloin with which the gnocchi was served was good and tender, this I will and gladly say.  However, my companion's Seared Salmon was on the salty side (why would it be necessary to salt it, I don't know) and even his Spin Salad was too....not sure what happened, maybe someone forgot they had put salt on it once and did it twice? My appetizer was the Foie Gras, which was good, though the "chip" thin crisps on top were difficult to handle as they broke each time I tried to put a slice of the foie gras on top.  No matter, I chalked it up to my less than "lady like" manners in eating such things ;-]
Our last part of the evening, dessert, was nice enough (I had the cheesecake and my companion the Olivas Sundae) and I must mention that the wine was VERY good....their list is very well thought of.

Fantastic!!!  Found this place after leaving Somerville's.  Much much better.  Better food better prices better staff.
Had the beef carpaccio ... yummy!!  After decided to have a Main...the mushroom ravioli...Wow.  I will be craving this for a very long time. My friend had the gnocchi with pork belly....she loved it as well.  Can't wait to go back and try the rabbit dumplings.
I will be recommending this place to everyone.

i'm definitely up on my tapas, and this place just didn't really do it for me. the decor is cute and hip but the food was just okay. i think the only thing i really enjoyed was the blackberry pork gnocchi. it's not a very intimate place, and with all the hard surfaces I can imagine things getting pretty noisy -- but if you just want to go out with a few friends for a snack, this is an okay place to hit up if you're on this side of town.

So I'm the second person to provide a review for the evening Carolina, Jenn, Aditya, Alain and I had at D'Lish.   I was curious about this place for a while now and decided it's time to go there as an evening where all of us would meet since Carolina was in town. Of course we tweeted about this for about a week and Amanda was looking forward to serving us.

Carolina and I walked in and we were already in love with the place. We joined Aditya and Jenn who already startedoff with some Malbec. MMM.  My fave wine.  Why does Jenn like what I like.  Strange huh?

So describe this resto, it was a very relaxed lounge setting with an excellent ambiance, a view of 124th Street off to the side and an excellent array of relaxing yet upbeat music in the background.  All of us were seated in the back away from all the action.

As the night began, Amanda enticed us to step out of the norm and try the tapas style of "around the world" items.  So for 45 minutes we were given a variety of items unbeknownst to us that we could share amongst all of us.  We didn't know what they would be, but of course given my shellfish allergy, I had to make sure ahead of time that I would be accommodated.  We also decided to have 3 pairings with our meals to go with our meals. I am sure Jenn will have a list of all the dishes we ate and will give the list on her review.

So all in all, speaking for Carolina and myself, we were pleasantly surprised and well taken care that evening by Amanda.  I would definitely recommend visiting D'Lish whether it's a small gathering or a romantic evening.  It is away from the busyness of Jasper and Whyte and part of Gallery Row, aka Lower 124th Street.  Very accessible by transit or by car.  It is definitely an experience worth trying.  You won't be disappointed.

D'Lish is a meal assembly and catering studio. I have been driving by this place for ages, and for some reason was always intimidated to go in. I imagined high prices and snobby service. I shouldn't have thought like that because this place is simply marvellous. I haven't actually used D'Lish' catering or meal assembly services, but I did grab a quick lunch. The menu at D'Lish is extensive, and offers an array of appetizers, platters, soups, salads and main courses that consist of seafood and meat. The menu is great, and I suggest to check D'Lish' website to learn more.
I didn't have a lot of money on me, but I really wanted to try some of D'Lish creations, so I went for cream of broccoli soup (which was the soup of the day), orzo and spinach salad with olives, peppers and Dijon vinaigrette, and sweet BBQ chicken sandwich made with ciabatta bread. Every single item was delicious! I believe that what makes all the difference in the taste is the fact that D'Lish uses free-range chicken and organic meats, greens and vegetables. In fact, the majority of foods on the menu are organic and imported from BC. This is what makes D'Lish stand out from other catering companies in Edmonton.
I will definitely explore D'Lish further, and I think I'll start from using their meal assembly service.

It took three visits but I'm finally a believer. D'Lish is all that it promises. On this visit, the service was impeccable, wines for tasting delightful, and all of our food excellently prepared and presented. The options for sharing with me are limited as I don't eat gluten, but we had the very best tomato soup on the planet, a trio of  fromage and charcuterie (prosciutto, tomme and boucheron) with the day's variety of gelees and a brandy compote of sorts (the best of my three visits although the green tea gelee just doesn't seem to add to any thing on the plate), and I was served some house made potato crisps as an alternative to the breads my companion was served. There ought to be a better alternative but at least they offered me an alternative this time. It was a great way to share while sampling four different wines from an informative wine menu. For dessert we chose the peppered fruit (pear) with saskatoon fresco cheese and (I think) a stewed apricot. Absolutely D'Lish. The food here is absolutely the best; the wine list varied (it will need to be updated regularly) and there's a cool but enjoyable ambiant room to enjoy it all in. If you are strictly celiac then your choices here are very limited but if you are avoiding gluten, you can find a great risotto and some mains to enjoy. I'll be back.
