I will always retain fond memories of this place. It goes without saying that this is the best library at Western. 5 floors of book-y goodness.
During exam season (December + April) this place is rammed so if you're anything other then a desperate student you're better off anywhere else. -

The staff at Western Libraries is on the whole, quite good, and they pride themselves on service. Every once in a while, I've met some dolts working at Weldon, Western's main library. One librarian claimed that their first edition of Paradise Lost was over 500 years old (funny, since it was written in the 1660s); another treated me like a total moron when I tried to report a missing book, then screwed up the search request.
The collection is pretty good at Weldon (4th biggest university library in Canada, as they keep telling everyone), but the building sucks. It has the slowest elevators of any library I've spent time in, and you can never tell if they're going up or down. The design of the stacks floors is bad, a kind of offset cross floorplan, which makes it hard and inefficient to find things.
