This shop deserves to get bumped to 5 stars. In the year since I wrote the last review I have come in a couple times with issues (I ride 70km a week or so and my bike takes alot of torture) and every time they have fixed it on the spot.
Not only that, I am charged such a small amount, it turns out to be an incidental expense "Just make it $5."
They are not out to rip you off at all. There is no BS. No hemming and hawing about what could be wrong, no upsells. They find a part in the back that works and slaps it on. Done.
I will definitely not be going anywhere else.Listed in: I'm outdoorsy, in that I like…

Review from Nicole C.
I was kinda on the fence about checking this place out because I heard a few bad things from people about their customer service, but I figured I'd check them out anyway. Maybe it was because I was direct and to the point, because I knew what I was doing, because I had a screaming fussy toddler in tow, or because I have boobs, but I was approached really quickly by the shop owner.
I came in dragging my hubs because it was time to buy some bike helmets and he was sulking because he felt wearing one would ruin his rep of being a bad ass on his newly acquired hybrid with attached panniers (yes that's sarcasm). The owner let us all try on a variety of helmets until we found one that suited and fit us as well as let us check out the baby bike seats. We ended up picking up 3 helmets and a Copilot seat (cheapest on the Danforth by $40 including install by the way) and were out of there quickly with no fuss.
Upon returning to the shop to have the seat installed, they asked me to come back an hour later - which I did, to discover that my bike hadn't been touched. The owner took one look at me and my tapping foot and installed it in about 10 minutes (why did you need an hour). To make up for it they also did a few adjustments that I had asked for without charging me. -

Sometimes I am a douche! About 15 mins before closing on a late Sunday afternoon I decide to try one more bike shop and cab it to Cyclemania to checkout their selection.
It wasn't bad, and quite frankly I was ready to buy the 2010 female frame Opus they had hanging in the window, sadly they had other plans.
The bike needed to be built and they weren't sure if they had any more in stock. I found this to be ridiculous since they had bothered placing it in the window in the first place.
The guy barely made eye contact with me when talking about the bike, in fact he was doing something at the register and had his back to me when he spoke.
All I could make out was him saying to try them tomorrow and they might have a bike ready. I didn't go back... if they couldn't be bothered neither could I.Listed in: Ramblings of a Bike Mercenary

The place to go if you're in the area and even if you're not. They have the BEST prices I have seen, and they have a no BS-attitude policy. And by that, I really mean it-- other places sometimes SAY they are customer focused and don't have the typical "bikers' attitude" but this place really doesn't. Staff are super nice, to-the-point, and they like to serve you. It actually seems to make them happy when they get you up and running again.
They have an ongoing $25 tune up special which is great!
Also, I have had a number of quick-fixes I needed on the spot and they have always been courteous and done them.
I left a competitor's bike store closer to me (no names mentioned) and tried CycleMania. I then gave the competitor's store another chance. I dropped off my bike at the competitor's store, walked out, and thought about it a bit. "I don't have to put up with that BS." I called CycleMania who said they'd do the job on the spot if I came in. I went right back in to the competitor's store, cancelled my order and got much better service at CM, on the spot.
Thanks CycleMania!!! -

Service wise the store seems to be quite good. Lubo strikes me as a no nonsense sort of guy. The prices for the service is also pretty competitive. One of the issues with this kind of service however is that there aren't going to be any frills - so one thing which I noticed when I got my bike back from its service was that the handle bars were quite dirty which was a bit of a downer.
There aren't too many bikes in the store because it's quite small and so if you're looking to buy a bike it would definitely be wise to shop around. -

So many choices for bikes, it's almost dizzying to think about! I had no clue bike shopping could be so extensive! And expensive! Well it is! From road bikes, dirt bikes, mountain bikes and whatever else there is, the choices are overwhelming.
Cyclemania is a great place to go if you're looking for a bike. The staff here knows bikes and they can answer any and all questions. Not really digging the manual labor of a bike, well they have the solution here. They actually have an extension that you can buy on your bike, that actually makes your bike an electric bike. hahahah talk about weird.. just imagine seeing someone on the street on a seemingly normal bike, yet they are not pedaling. That seems weird, no? Anyway, if you're interested in an electric bike, this is the way to go!1 Previous Review: Show all »

I've had two quick fixes done here and have been very satisfied with both experiences. I just drop by (once on a busy Sunday afternoon) with my bike and the staff have been courteous, responsive, and helpful. The prices are great and I found that the merchandise is reasonably priced.

I'm going back here today to get a bike. I went to four shops around downtown and this one had the best deal. They had a decent selection of bikes. I'm in the market for an upright commuter bike. They had a Miele upright from last year that was $399. The guy working there said he'd change the seat so that it's not a quick release for free. He also said he'd throw in a bell free of charge too and tune-ups for a year are free too! That to me sounds like an excellent deal!

Excellent, attentive, fast (immediate) service. I came here to buy a bike after my old one was stolen. I told staff what my price range and preference was, and they showed me something that fit my desired budget (not something 30% more expensive). They didn't have my size, but offered to build one my size in 20 minutes. I can back 20 minutes later and the bike was ready to test ride. It rode well, and I decided to buy it. I also bought a rack which was installed free of charge and a Kryptonite U Lock. A kickstand was thrown in for free, rack was installed free of charge, and I was given an additional 5% discount on the whole package. Plus this includes free adjustments/minor tuning in the first few months, PLUS a free tune-up next season. All this for $330 (bike), $25 (rack), $50 (lock). I did come back a few times and was very happy with the service. Shortly after buying the bike I decided I wanted a more expensive lock (sometimes I lock the bike up late at night outdoors) and I hadn't used the lock I had bought (although the bracket was already installed on the bike). I called Cyclemania to ask if I could return it and get the more expensive model, and they said 'no problem'. Another time I came in after the first ~200 Km to have the rear brake adjusted and for some minor wheel truing--although a busy Saturday afternoon they did the work the same hour, and it was free of charge. Since then , my budget Cyclemania hybrid bike has travelled over 1000 km this seaon without problems. Have gotten my moneys worth and then some from this shop. On another note, the politeness of the staff and owner has varied visit to visit, but I think this is just because the shop is so busy and its hard give both people and bikes the face time they deserve--considering its a bike shop, I'm glad the priority goes to the bikes!
