I could easily go broke on art supplies. Like many Curry's locations, it is packed to the brim with supplies. The prices are relatively fair & the staff has always been helpful. I find it potentially harmful to my wallet) to wander looking for something - my lesson learned is to always ask which aisle in particular I need to be in to find ______. Last time I was in, the lady who was working complimented me on my nail polish & made my entire day. (Hey, it's the little things.)

All curry's seem to be approximately the same size, but compared to other art stores I've been, it is quite tiny. This location is convenient for me, since its' near everything else (e.g., a Shoppers Drug Mart is across the street and a Loblaws is next door), so I can get everything done in one trip. I hardly need art supplies, but I usually come here when I do.
The staffs are very friendly and knowledgable. Things are pricey here, but which art store isn't pricey? They sell tons of paper, paint, paint brushes, and markers/pens - lots for a small store. -

On a busy arty street of gourmet hamburger restos, fashion boutiques and rock bars is a great little art supply store called Curry's.
Inside is cramped, but aren't all Curry's like this? Every single store I've stepped into are stocked to the gills with tons of art supplies but that's good, that means there's a lot of variety.
On each of my visits, I found the staff to be friendly and helpful every time.
The prices are reasonable though I'll admit that I rarely visit other art supply stores looking for a bargain. I come here purely out of convenience and the short walk from my house.
Just a note: This store isn't 100% wheelchair friendly. While the main section of the store is level to the street, there is another level in the back of the store where they sell canvases and paper. There's 4 steps to get up there so for someone who is wheelchair bound, this would be a challenge. But I'm sure that the super friendly staff would offer to help in this situation.Listed in: My locals

A conveniently located art store with most of what you're looking for. While the breadth of selection isn't there given the limited space of the store, you won't be missing out on basics. Prices are fair and staff were very helpful.

The staff in this store were helpful....I'm not very artsy but needed to whip up some posters for a little rally and they got me sorted with art board, markers and even some glitter paint. A litte dingy and squished with stuff though.....
