Review from Felix B.
I came here not expecting too much from a mall food court. The service was excellent and quick. I had chicken tikka and palak paneer over rice with naan, and a samosa. The paneer was a little salty, but the chicken tikka was quite tasty. Both were not spicy enough, but I am sure this is because most Caucasians can't handle the heat. The naan and samosa were very good, and were restaurant quality.
If this was a restaurant I would not give it more than 3 stars, but this is a food court and deserves 4 stars. It will definitely satisfy your Indian food cravings!! -

The first indian food that I tasted in Vancouver because this was the only place I could find in the lansdowne mall. Indeed that was a brunch. The price was reasonable and also I got to taste 3 curries ( chicken, channa masala, palak) which were not so good. But were ok to suffice my hunger.
Rice quality was not at all good. Naan was good. Also they serve samosas here. -

Remember i talked about i've had better butter chicken in food courts?!.. huh? huh? REMEMBER!!?!! guess not. oh well..
This is one of the places who keep their food consistent in flavor and and service!
Located at Landsdown Mall in Richmond, there's a food court right in the middle of it all.. and apon that food court lies Curry Express. a small section (beside Taco Luis) where u can get your Indian Fix for the day! satisfying the most biggest in appetites! try any of their combos! honestly good eats that wont damage your wallet! -

Under some circumstances, I was faced with the challenge of buying my lunch at the Lansdowne Mall food court.
I usually don't eat in the food court, because of its lack of selection (mostly chain places) and the prices are almost the same as eating at a restaurant.
However, this Curry Express is what I always fall back on, because it's consistent and always satisfies my hunger.
They have several combos here, but I usually get my 2 item plus rice and naan combo. Butter chicken and palak paneer, on a bed of basmati rice, with a large piece of naan.
The butter chicken is always tasty, the sauce just the right consistency, and the palak paneer is also always good. They don't skimp on the chicken either; you always get a good portion for it.
Tip: ask for it in a take out box instead of a plate, so your rice can be drenched in that awesome butter chicken sauce, and have extra sauce leftover for the naan.
Order their chai tea as well. They boil it for you on the spot, so there is a bit of a wait for it. Trust me, it's some good chai!
Prices are very reasonable, and I am always finishing my food, with a huge smile on my face. -

This place has come through for me for years. Solid butter chicken and curry. Very good for food court Indian food. decent value. appreciates good customers with loyalty cards. good spot!

What few people know is that this is not a restaurant, but a small stand within the Lansdowne Mall food court.
Though food court food is hardly comparable to restaurant quality items, I still find myself crawling back here for quick and cheap eats due to my obsession to Indian food. Most food courts don't have Indian restaurants, probably due to lack of demand hence this place is one I can always count on for a solid curry combo without having to venture far from No.3 Road.
The $6.00 Khadi Pakora combo is one of my favorites and their Lentil Curry is great as well. The Tikka Masala is a little too sweet most of the time and surprisingly their naan is decent. Customer service is solid but can be as dead as the mall it resides in.
