Yogurt veggie pakora curry that has to be some of the best I've had anywhere.
Love the combo deals, where 2 items and naan for ~$7 actually fills me up (and they don't just give you 3 cups of rice). I hate going to the mall and paying crazy prizes but still being hungry.

In terms of mall food my expectations are pretty low, but while in Metrotown I was wandering around, and saw Curry Express and their signage about samosas... thanks Curry Express for implanting a wicked samosa craving... so I decided to give it a try.
Curry Express was a delightful surprise. They have combo specials, I am always happy to have options, especially when with my boyfriend who has a large appetite and me a small one. I ordered my curry chicken with rice and a nan and a side samosa, my boyfriend found non-spicy food (read: butter chicken). Service was very fast.
The food was actually good! The samosa was a quality that I typically don't find outside of my favorite samosa place, it was great!
I recommend Curry Express as good and efficient place to eat at Metrotown to fuel you to conquer that mall!

At first glance the dishes look like typical mall fast food fare... but lo and behold, in the near left corner is what makes the Curry Express a "special" mall treat. All the other dishes on display never seem to vary and are your typical mass-produced fast food fare. However, that little corner of the Curry Express occasionally houses a yummy surprise.
I've discovered that this dish varies about once or twice a week and is made by a member of the owners' family. Made especially for THIS Curry Express location. It might be cabbage and peas, potato curry, aloo gobi or zuccini. When I am near Metrotown, I'll wander over to take a look ...and can't resist. I'll order whatever special dish was made with a couple of fresh hot naan and a chai. Mmmm. Yes. For this alone, I'm definitely a fan.
Metrotown's food court doesn't have too much to offer vegetarians. I find myself over at Curry Express almost every time I am looking for sustenance at Metrotown. For $7.49 you can chose two curries along with rice, naan, and a drink. It's not restaurant quality, but it's not bad for fast food.
