The first coffee shop I see as I rise the assent from my home and one of the first places I tried while checking out my neighbourhood.
I cant say that anything really stands out except the staff. The coffee was good, my americano certainly left me satisfied.
There was once a cheesecake bar purchased at a famished moment that was amazing.
Great local place, sorry you have the misfortune of being across from the soon-to-be Tim Hortons. How that found a way onto Main still baffles me. -

My first experience with con panna starts here.
Stopped by this place while shopping on Main. A cute little coffee shop at the corner of a busy intersection.
As I browse through their menu, their prices are a bit lower than your typical chain coffee shops. My eyes then stopped at a drink called "Caramel Con Panna."
When I asked the cashier what it was, she says that she believes it's an espresso with caramel and whipped cream on top. I decided to order it, because it sounded like it could taste good.
When the barista was told to make a con panna, she didn't know what it was or how to make it. She said she would try and make something for me.
The result: I could see how this drink could actually be very good-the bitterness of the coffee could be offset by the caramel, and the whipped cream on top makes the drink that much richer.
The downfall of this drink that was served to me was that there was simply way too much whipped cream, to the point where the espresso was now almost cold. This drink should probably be only served in mugs, not the paper 'to go' cups.
I'm not even sure if this was properly made, so I'm going to have to order a con panna perhaps at other coffee shop, or come back here, and hopefully the barista will know what it is. -

I kept meaning to try this place, so here I am! It has a Starbucks/Blenz look and feel to it, not meant in a negative sense, just has the feel of a chain. But the staff knew some regulars by name, so that's a good sign :)
The latte was nice enough, nothing outstanding, but not too bitter either. I also ordered a low fat cookie (I wasn't sure if it was a mirage there at the counter, ha!). Again, it did the job without being super amazing or bad.
I sat in the back with the comfy seats to sit and chill :) The previous visitors cups and plates were still there alas, and there were a few tiny flies about, ack! I was suddenly reminded of my old work's kitchen haha!

I stopped in here on a rainy day looking for a chai latte, but then I saw the baked goods display and got distracted. I ended up getting a medium chai and a peanut butter cookie, which came to $6.66 after tax! Breakfast of the beast!
The chai could have used more chai, and the cookie was a little overcooked, I like my cookies a bit softer than that, but I guess if your coffee is hot enough it becomes a dipping tool. It's hard to dip on the go though, and before I knew it the BF had scooped half my cookie and I was left with a watery chai. There was some good from this experience though, I rediscovered my love of peanut butter cookies and now that I don't live with Rheanna F. anymore (she is allergic to peanuts), I can make them again! Yay! -

A gem of a coffee shop in a convenient and comfortable location. I always take a few minutes to sit down in their big picture window and watch the crazies and the cool kids do their business on Main St.
The staff is very friendly and seem to put a lot of time, thought, and careful intention into coaxing the perfect espresso shot.
And they have a lovely chocolate whipped cream. Not too sweet.

For the longest time this place escaped my attention, although I am a coffee ho. I always went to Our Town, one block east. I think the hurly-burly of the Main and Broadway corner just generally made it seem like an unrelaxing area to sit down and take 5 (or 45).
But hey! They serve up delectable cups of joe (just like the name!) And you CAN feel rather snug and far from the bustle if you go sit down in the rear area, where there's plenty of comfy chairs (and "O" magazines, for some reason). Or people watch from your perch on a stool by the window. You'll probably see at least one crazy thing happen.
The staff is consistently pleasant and good-humoured. One of them paints all the window displays and they are very good if you stop and take a look. At Easter they had the most freaking adorable bunny sipping out of a mug! -

We needed some caffeine to refuel after the drive from Seattle. Cuppa Joe was by the hotel so we stopped in. The girl working was nice and it's a cute shop but our drinks were just "meh." I did not find great coffee on this trip to Vancouver.
Cuppa Joe is on several bus lines and across the street from a book store.Listed in: Latte List, Short n Sweet

I've had the "lucky" lack of luck to work around that place on Sundays and the work cafeteria is closed on Sundays. Because of the distance, this place was the only close and available place I could go for a coffee.
What I noticed is that the service is always pretty decent but the coffees are very irregular. Some days I would get a very good cappuccino, and the other day my mocha would SU*K.. Another time my coffee would be great, and the next day my cappuccino would be, LITERALLY, half empty and bitter, as in VERY bitter. So much so that I would end up throwing it away.
So now that I have a normal Monday to Friday schedule, I thank God everyday that I don't have to go to that place anymore. Main street and good coffee shops don't go well together, unfortunately for me, I don't judge a store by how trendy the location is and how eclectic the people are. So no, this place is not for me anymore. I won't pay 4-5$ for a coffee that will end up either making my day, or not make the cut and end up at the bottom of the garbage bin.
And I guess this place won't survive too long, now that Tim Horton moved right in front of it. -

There's nothing too notable about this Cuppa Joe location. Due to its location at two rather bustling streets, however, the people watching here can be some of the best in the city. But be warned: it's not for the passive people-watchers who like to scope from behind shades. You'll likely get pulled into the tussle that is life for many in these parts.
The bathrooms here are surprisingly clean given the amount of traffic they must see. Service is friendly and prompt -- no menu items out of the ordinary.
This is a good spot to grab a coffee and chat with friends or fuel up for a bus ride, but I can't see myself wanting to sit down with my laptop here. Too many distractions. -

I like the vibe. Free no hassle wi-fi and friendly staff. Good music (think the peak style music) and the coffee is good. The baked goods don't look worth it but the sandwiches look yummy.

Perfect Vanilla Latte the other day. It must get frequented often because of the busy location. The entire shop looked very clean and I was impressed.
