Wow. The food here is amazing. I found out it's all freshly made with local produce. Relaxing atmosphere though the place is full of wood and the Jazz can get a bit loud. The restaurant is not too big, not too small. This is a family owned business. I met the husband, wife and daughter who were busy making everyone feel at home. Hard to describe. Recommended. Save room for the homemade desert.

2 stars...
Was super excited to see a non corporate place opening in the Whitby area that had a chef for an owner...unfortunatley this night he was off catering an event.
We were a party of four that was just out to have a good meal a few drinks and an enjoyable evening with some music.
Apps were a long wait (only 2 other tables in the place on a Saturday night.) We were told by the waitress that they received the wrong sized shrimp for our shrimp app so instead of the usual amount (six I believe) it would only be half the regular amount due to the "extremely large size" , we were expecting colossal sized shrimp! They were tiny, a complete joke!
We waited forever for our meal..and when it arrived... yawn.
Pasta dishes were all lacking in sauce and flavor!
Sadly we were so turned off that we didnt bother sticking around for the music!
Do not go on a cold night, unless you wear a heavy sweater....cold outside air hits you as soon as the front door opens (no walls to redirect) -

Coming out the movie Crazy Heart and music must have been on our mind. We spotted a new sign saying, "Jazz" across from the Subway in the Whitby Entertainment Coliseum. Jazz in Whitby? Yup! We were greeted by Roger who seated us --- behind him were three musicians (keyboards, sax and guitar). They played, we talked, we drank fun cocktails like the Frank Sinatra (nice dash of bitters), some decent wine (Roger, you need more wine on the menu though...) and had some delish food. This joint could be hopping. Drop by and say hi to Roger and everyone. Very nice people. Very nice food (...more bread needed for the warm...mmmm....warm bruschetta).
