Specialties
Crystal Cradle Inc. produces and distributes eco-art accessories and light-sculpture out of a bay studio in Edmonton called Spaceport. We also promote the eco-conscious creative community by collaborating with other eco-artists and green businesses. Crystal Cradle Inc. "eco-art" (short for "ecological art") thematically addresses how we co-exist with the natural world, creatively reshaping the existing relationships and proposing new possibilities of interconnection. Our products include eco-art jewelry, crystal jewelry, creature sculpture (called "Metavores"), and decorative lamps (called "Lightscape lanterns").

History
Established in 2008
Brothers Dylan Toymaker and Robin George began Crystal Cradle Inc. in 2008. This company was created to "cradle" and nurture "crystal" artistic visions.
We started at Hanger 11 on the north end of Edmonton by the Municipal Airport of Edmonton. At the time, we were primarily doing jewelry and crystal sales at music festivals like North Country Fair, Astral Harvest, Kootenany, Sasquatch and Shambhala.
Some time during the Christmas season of 2008 we resurrected an artistic line of Dylan Toymaker's called "Metavores", which were computer scrap creature sculpture. These proved to be a huge hit at the Festival of Crafts in 2009, and we started putting more emphasis on creating and distributing these computer creatures.
Also in 2008, Dylan Toymaker started building off-grid powered lantern installations for the "Winterlight Festival" of Edmonton. Continuing his involvement for 3 years, Dylan has been building small to building sized light installations for Edmontonian's pleasure.
Meet the Business Owner: Dylan or Robin G.
Dylan is the primary artistic director, and does most of the designing and crafting. He has been exploring art and electronics since his childhood in St. Albert, AB. He attended the U of A, and received a B.A. in Anthropology with a minor in Art and Design. He developed his craft more fully during his time in Toronto, ON. He then wrapped it all up into a van to travel North America for 5 years. Now based in Edmonton again, he is enjoying setting up a larger scale studio than ever.
Robin is the primary marketing and administrative director of Crystal Cradle Inc. Robin attended the U of A, and received a BA in Political Science / Philosophy. He spent 4 years participating in weekly Toastmasters meetings. Robin held the role of President of the club for a year, developing his leadership proficiency as well as public speaking finesse.
