This is my favourite winery to stop at when I'm driving through the Similkameen Valley. It's a family-run VQA estate winery, restaurant, and now B&B that makes wonderful, drinkable German-style wines such as Riesling and Pinot Auxerrois. The Riesling seems to be popular - they often sell out of it long before the summer's over.

I also love the blends, such as the sharp and tangy Cuvee #3. They used to do more blends, but North American wine drinkers don't really go for them, so they mostly do varietals now.

Crowsnest isn't found too much in liquor stores, but if you like white wines, definitely seek this one out. I haven't been to the restaurant, but the patio has a lovely view of the vineyards, mountains, and the family's  very cute old border collie

Specialties

We are a family run winery. We are trying to show you what can be done in the beautiful Similkameen Valley. From growing the vines to the finished product on the table. We are very well known for our un-oaked Chardonnay( Stahltank) with which we have won 2 years in a row "Best un-oaked Chardonnay in Canada" at the All-Canadian-Wine-Awards. We also grow a nice and dry Riesling, Gewuerztraminer and our reds are Merlot and Pinot Noir. Come and taste the fruits of our labour in our tasting Store. We also have a beautiful Restaurant with a scenic view of the Simlkameen. The same here in the kitchen, we are only using locally grown fruits and vegetables so you can have the full experience of where we live and what can be done here. our specialty in the restaurant are certainly Schnitzel, Rouladen and home-made Bratwurst as well as a lot of things from the Wood-Fire-Oven like our famous Pork Roast. Our 7 guestrooms have 3 1/2 stars and for more information please visit crowsnestvineyards.com

We were established in 1995. The first wines were produced in 1996. We do by now between 5500 and 6500 cases of anual production. Our new building was build in 2006 and contains a Store, a Restaurant and a B&B.
The Heinecke Family owns and operates every aspect of the business. Ann Heinecke is the Winemaker, Sascha Heinecke runs the Restaurant side. Olaf and Sabine Heinecek are the patriarchs and basically oversee day to day business.
