I think there are purpose for everything. The purpose to Crescent Beach isn't as a destination to go eat at - although it does offer "a little" choice ... from the Crescent Beach Bistro, the Beecher Street Cafe, Pelagos, and about 5 other varying places
Parking is notoriously tough to find, although you can always park down by Blackie Spit at one end of the beach. Tonight I found a primetime parking spot right in front of the ice cream place, which was like winning the lottery for me tonight.
It's a nice beach to walk up and down, and to sit on one of the benches looking out over the sunset chowing on some fish and chips (although the fish and chips is FAR superior on White Rock beach).
It's always been one of my fav spots in Surrey! -

This is what I imagine the lower mainland to have looked like as few as 10 years ago: lush trees, untouched beach for as far as the eye can see, a very low-douche factor, AMAZING rocks (skipping rocks, collectable rocks, shiny rocks, rough rocks -- you know: rocks), and out of control beautiful sunsets.
Sure, Crescent Beach *is* technically in South Surrey (not White Rock, not Surrey, but *South* Surrey), but it doesn't come close to resembling the ridiculous sprawl of suburban homes that have taken down the gorgeous forest that once was the source of attraction to White Rock / South Surrey. It is instead as close to cabin-country as once might find in the lower mainland. Yes, you will see multiple mansions belonging to the 1% along the drive there; and yes, you might find a few new-builds that look more like they belong in the much more popular (and more crowded) White Rock beach (read: too slick for cabin-land) -- but it's still pretty charming, and I like that.
Fish and chips. Coffee and ice cream. Sunsets and skipping rocks.Listed in: Let's tour!, We're Not In Vancouver Anymore

If you like a little piece of calm, especially on a mild day, this is the place to go. A couple of weeks ago I took my dogs and husband here for a nice walk and sniffs for the dogs.
I haven't been to the few shops and restaurants as I usually have the dogs and don't want to leave them alone in the car. What I can say is that the locals are very friendly, at least they have been with me. I love looking at the houses and imagining how beautiful it is there all year round.
I can't wait to go back! -

I like this beach much more than the main White Rock beach. It doesn't get as crowded and it has a bit of small town quaintness to it (despite being minutes from the noisy city). Grab a gelato or an ice cream and wander out at low tide to look at the sea life.
Sandy feet? There are feet washing and shower stations and free public washrooms as well.Listed in: Best Beaches

This is a very nice quiet beach nestled in a serene corner of Surrey. (And yes, I realize that serene and Surrey are being used in the same sentence!). The one thing about Crescent Beach is that it is very rocky - one time I broke my sandal on one of the rocks and had to walk around barefoot the rest of the night (ick!).
Crescent Beach is peaceful because its not as commercialized as White Rock Beach. And this fact has some perks and pitfalls. It means you can find privacy at this beach, but you won't get a ton of selection of food. In face, there are only about 3 restaurants on the beach. -

I like this beach alot. I go to wreck beach in Vancouver sometimes but Crescent beach is much closer to home for me. There are some restaurants, ice cream and coffee bars at one end of the beach and at the other end of the beach, it is quiet, secluded in areas, and good swimming. In the warmer months, there is a "unoffcial" area of the beach where you can tan naked and not have to worry about tanlines!
