when i first hear the name "crepevine" i was a kinda skeptic like "is that all they serve" one day order the capri shrimp (spagehtti kinda dish) and i LOOOOOVVEDD IT . the food tasted fresh and just great overall. the service is awesome friendly people and i love how clean it is.
i am becoming a big fan of the "sonoma" is a grilled chicken kinda burger but fills up up . i love the colorfull signs that explain in detail which food is which and what is in it.
i work right up the street so when i call in my order they have it hot and ready in minutes.
thank u -

Very mediocre food. It's really convenient to where I live, just a block and a half away so I really want to like it. But, the consistently bad to mediocre meals make that difficult. The last time I ordered their sweet crepe with walnuts and coconut, there was a slab of what looked like grease on the side of my to-go container. I could not finish more than a few bites.
On the plus side, they have a really large menu are are open late, and their soups and pre-packaged cookies/desserts are OK. -

I'm giving Crepevine a solid four stars. I'm not afraid to admit it. They make it so easy to have a delicious, filling (the portions are huge), generally healthy, reasonably priced meal.
I stop in here a couple times a month usually to grab dinner when I'm feeling lazy or to grab a tasty lunch with a friend.
The Asian Chicken salad is what got me hooked. I have walked into this place a couple times determined to have something else, anything else, and walked out with this salad. It is just so darn good. I have also had the Cancun, which also gets my tastebuds going - realized it was probably due to the mix of Caesar AND Chipotle dressings that is only revealed when you get it to-go. And of course I've had crepes. My favorite being the California with chicken.
The real standout here is the service. Since it is counter service (order at the register and wait for the food to come to your table) the people running the front of the house don't have to be nice - they aren't hustling for tips. But the employees here are the bomb! They go out of their way to make sure you are happy. And even if you self-served your drink (usually free water) at the counter they often bring refills to the table.
Thanks Crepevine crew. See you again real soon. -

I have been here many times b4, this just happened to be my 1st time trying a crepe.. Im not a fan of nutella i prefer more of sweet cream with berries... I ended up trying the Tri-berry crepe and i must say that it was good... It would just be nice if they had a sweet cream cheese type of filling.. But for $6.75 i got my crepe and a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a dollop of whip cream.. I was happy...

Love this place! It's my go to when I want a delicious meal without too much hassle. Ingredients are all fresh, and it comes through in the food. My favorite drink is the safari cooler. Yum!! Service is good, and the staff is really friendly. There's also free wi-fi, which is nice! Get there early on the weekends, as the place fills up fast and gets super busy and loud. Wouldn't recommend that you try to do any real studying here though, unless you have ear plugs.

Went here for the first time when home in SF for a week and staying in the Castro. What GREAT salads and what a great range of food options! The grilled tofu in peanut sauce (salad) was FAB and my friend had a salad Nicoise that he noted was awesome. The pricing is great, the service is great and super duper fast. I liked it so much that I went back 2 days later....

Came here on 2/12/12 to grab something for lunch before walking back home. The place was packed and there was a line to order, this is one of those places where you stand in line to order and get a number and they bring it to you at your table.
I was excited to try the place as it was full and they had lots of things on the menu, as well as it being a few dollars cheaper than Chow which is across the street. The 1 star is from my experience here in how I was passed in line by multiple staff there when it came to orders. 1st the guy completely skipped all the men in the front of the line to go for the 1st woman which was attractive and standing right behind me to take her order and expedite it; he literally said "I'll go put in your order now so it's ready quickly" as I watched him go behind the counter to the register to interupt the woman there already taking the orders of people in line.
Next the older woman who seemed more like the owner possibly did the same thing, except that she started to hand out numbers to the women behind the woman behind me for their orders. WTF??
Anyhow Karma surely was in hand for this place and their treatment of men, the woman at the counter didn't charge me correctly so to me that was a sure sign that this place got what they deserved outside of my bad review for them. The food was so/so and I'm not sure whether I'll be returning to this place due to the way I was treated. -

Crepevine is one of my favorite places to go if you want a full meal.
After a run around Lake Merced, I decided to come here for some good food before I fainted.
Usually, I order the Pacific Sandwich (Salmon burger) with salad and potatoes on the side. Their salad is dark leaves without much sauce (thank goodness), but they really overcooked their potatoes here (Crepevine Burlingame makes their potatoes perfect :P) Their potato bread bun was extremely powdery... as in there were large clumps of powder coming off my burger. Not impressed.
As a drink, I like to order the orange carrot juice. What a refreshing meal!
However, I must stick to the Burlingame Crepevine, because I've never had a problem with their food.
Service was decent, but did not know that there was more than one Crepevine (how do you not know if you work here?????). -

3.5 stars. Also, note that the menu prices online are just a tad off (by about 25-50 cents).
For the price, the portions of the dessert crepes and scrambles are about average, but the sandwiches come with a ginormous side salad and serving of fries. I had the Santorini dessert crepe and while the flavors were good the edges of my crepe were a little too crispy. My crepe could've used a little more mascarpone and the ice cream was a disappointment - cheap quality icy, non-creamy ice cream. All in all, fair for the price but I wouldn't be excited to come back again. -

I'm so glad Crepevine is in my neighborhood! Crepevine is the perfect place to take friends / visitors for brunch that isn't too expensive. The savory crepes come with whipped cream, ice cream, and nutella, which makes me feel indulgent and happy when I eat it in the morning.
The wait is never very long, and the prices are low. Sometimes around brunch hour the tables can get full, but the staff does an excellent job making sure everyone has a seat who's waiting to order. The prices, casual atmosphere, and great food make me want to come back again and again!Listed in: Bay Area Delicious Cheap Food

I'm a long time regular and familiar with other neighborhood restaurants. I think the truth is that the Crepevine on Church is within market pricing and the quality of the food is usually very good including the killer Swedish oatmeal pancakes; however at least 30% of the time the quality is signigicant marred. For example with some dishes 1/2 the plate can be hot and tasty and the other 1/2 just cool.
Other neighborhood restaurant options are La Mediterranee and Cafe Flore both at Noe and Market and Chow which is right across the street from Crepevine.
I've talked to the manager and she indicates they will retrain the staff sometime in the future.
Life's not perfect, but customers playing 30% bad service roulette with the Church Street Crepevine shouldn't have to be on the menu.

DO NOT ORDER THE CRAB CAKE! It looked, smelled, and tasted suspiciously like tuna...down to the color and texture. It looked like tuna that came out of a can that was mushed together into a patty. I did not see any chunks of crab meat. I was very disappointed.

So OK, maybe Crepevine is not the most original decision in this neighborhood teeming with little hole in the wall mom and pops on every corner, but I have to admit I really love it anyway. It's a great go-to spot for when you're with a bunch of people with all different tastes, because the menu is huge and you pretty much can't go wrong with any decision. I've had delicious crepes, salads, and pastas, and you can't ever go wrong with their ginormous mimosas and perfectly crispy fries.
The interior is newly redecorated and for the most part I like the warm, comfortable vibe they're going for though I can't say I agree with their weird choice in abstract metal artwork and ceiling. In any case, it's a bright, cozy, comfy spot to grab a meal at most times of the day and I definitely plan to keep it in my arsenal!Listed in: My hood in SF

The portions here are always satisfying and the food is great. I love to go here for breakfast. I would say they have the best breakfast in town. I love to get the El Paso, it is a huge plate of corned beef hash with two eggs on top, served with toast. They always have great service and they are always friendly. Breakfast is great, but I also love their sandwiches and salads. Their soups are delicious, especially their New England Clam Chowder. Definitely 5 stars!!!!!!

I want to start by saying the service was great. The busers and cashiers were so friendly.
The food was pretty run of the mill as far as creperies go. Creperies are never as good as I want them to be so it's my own fault I keep trying them. Potatoes were good but I hate to say I prefer squat and gobble's.
Atmosphere is good. I hung around long after I was done eating without any pressure to leave. -

Feel indecisive?
Solid crepe variety:
savory and sweet.
My Philly crepe was meaty,
liked it and the potatoes.
Pseudo fast-food style:
You order at the counter,
They bring it to you. -

I eat here a lot and I have never had a bad meal. My partner and I are both vegetarian and they offer a lot of options for us including soyrizo (yum) and grilled marinated tofu for your salad. Tons of variety and super friendly staff. Not sure what happened with a previous reviewer, but everyone has always been welcoming and very attentive.

When I walked in, I thought it was just a copy of Squat and Gobble, but it definitely was a different experience. The staff was extremely courteous. The portions were very generous. And the food was quite tasty. I would definitely return here.

Not too bad - came here to order a dessert crepe - we ordered the Tri-berry crepe, and asked to substitute the raspberries with a banana. I dislike raspberry seeds stuck in my teeth :)
Service was fast and friendly. the crepe was packed withfruit and had the perfect amount of nutella and ice cream and deliciousness. Under $7! -

This review is simply for their Dessert Crepe, We had their Tri-Berry Crepe which had Strawberries, Blueberries, and we changed the rasberries for bananas.
Overall a good deal for $6, I've never been to a Crepevine, but after having their Dessert Crepe, I'm interested in trying their non-dessert entrees -

I was around church street in the morning and stopped by this place on Sunday morning
I ordered Santa Rosa omlette with coffee
The waiter came up to me a few times and refilled my coffee which I found really nice
Then I think I saw the owner around and greeting everyone making sure their breakfast experience is pleasent
I was there working with my laptop so after an hour I went to order a pot of tea and then I saw the owner coming up to register and taking over the cashier to take my order and giving me a LOOK and asked if I want the tea for here or to go which I replied as "for here" and she said with a loud clear voice ok TO GOand then asked the waiter no please have it for to go and not for here
So here is the deal
I'm not stupid to not realize that you ate trying to kick me out oft table because I hung out there for half an hour working with my laptop for sometime but don't be rude and have the audacity and come up to me to discuss it
It was a slow Sunday and there were tons of other empty tables there
People are not dumb :)
Anyways although I like the food and coffee there but I'd rather go somewhere else which the owner is not rude and acting like a smart ass kicking out people just because they stuck around half an hour longer -

Crepevine is a wonderful neighborhood breakfast restaurant. It is walking distance from the Muni on Market St. I've been here 3 days in a row!
The portions are large for what you pay for. Everything on the menu is delicious. I've eaten their crepes, french toast, omelets , burgers, and salads. I have no complaints about anything except for eating too much!
The service is great and friendly. The restaurant has high ceilings with large glass windows allowing natural lighting and feeling of openness. Expect to pay about $5-$10 for a hearty meal. I'll probably become a regular here! -

The gluten-free crepe is among the highest-quality I've had. There seemed to be a focus on portion size over presentation, though, which makes this a better drunk food place than somewhere you'd go as a first destination. The fresh-squeezed orange juice was quite tasty though. Four stars!

Fruit is your base. Add granola for a buck. Nonfat plain yogurt for a buck more. Reasonably sized for $6 and change.

After an inspirational session of mind nourishing yoga in the Castro, Crepevine is one of our favorite places to stop afterwards o nourish our bodies.
They're open late, they carry Mighty Leaf Tea, and their fish tacos, topped with mango salsa and served with fries that have just the right amount of crunch and spice - are beyond on point.
If you're trying to stick to a healthy plan - tell them to hold the fries, double the salad, and switch your dressing to lemongrass.
You'll be set.
Deep Breath.
Ahhhhhhhhh.
A lovely finish to a warm energizing night..

YUMMY.
This is a great place to go for brunch! It's very similar to Crepeville in downtown Sac, except for the fact that it's CLEAN. Yeah!! I came in with some friends for brunch this past weekend before getting our Pride on and loved it. Service was extremely friendly, even though they were also extremely busy. I had the Kyoto crepe which has marinated grilled tofu, vegetables, and peanut sauce and it was really good. The breakfast potatoes were actually pretty tasty too (I usually don't like taters) and the side salad included with the crepe was fresh. The only reason I'm dropping a star is that they were really slow to bring out out food....and didn't bring everyone's out at the same time. So there were five of us sitting there staring awkwardly at each other and our food, waiting for the sixth person's order to come out so we could all start eating....I hate that! -

This may be a biased opinion since I love me some crepes but yeah, it's pretty good food. Not so good that I want to come every week. But good enough that I want to revisit every now and again. I like the fact that there are actual vines growing outside. I chuckle to myself about that one. It's actually less fancy inside I think but I've never had a hard time getting a table in there so right on!

The food is ok. The customer service is terrible. The woman on the register seemed to be in a real rush to get my order, very pushy and rude. Maybe she needed to go to the bathroom or something. She seems to be the owner. I am not coming back ever again.

Do you ever eat at a place every other week, because it's somewhere your friends or room mate just adores to the Soul?
Well, Crepevine is that place for me. I'm getting to the point of feeling dragged here... And I know it's because I just haven't found the right item for me!
I've tried the grilled cheese, but I wasn't a fan of the items used to make it. Perhaps it's healthier than usual? Because I really enjoy a soft bread covered and grilled in butter, surrounding a whole boatload of cheese. They used some thick, hearty sourdough with really mild Cheddar. Eh, it wasn't for me.
I've tried the Black Stone Benedict (special note: eggs benedict is my abfab brunch meal), and I couldn't take more than one bite of the avocado, red onion, hollandaise and egg yolk all mixed together. Just didn't fit my taste buds.
I've tried the Huevos Rancheros, and it was good. But not remarkable.
The salads are so big they scare me and I never eat more than 1/2 (I can't be wasteful so I don't try them often); I don't like ordering sandwiches from places around the corner from my kitchen (and nothing has merited breaking that financial objective); and I'm not much of a typical breakfast food person... Maybe you are?
But I'll tell ya what: if they would add a classic Eggs Benedict or Florentine to the menu, I would be a much happier camper. Oh, and service is always awesome! -

My review of Crepevine is more on the 3.5 border, but I'm giving it a 4 because: 1. the staff is friendly, 2. their fresh squeezed OJ, 3. weekend nights it is pretty spacious, quiet, and open late. I ordered just the American breakfast (for dinner, which also felt pretty good:) and it was tasty. The eggs were a little undercooked and the bacon not as crispy as I would have liked... but the above 3 reasons slightly outweighs my critiques. A nice stop in the Castro.

I met up with a friend for an early lunch on Saturday, he suggested we get crepes. I thought that was a brilliant idea, being that it was a place I never went to, I was excited to try out and review a new breakfast/lunch place close to my neighborhood.
I'm more of a Savory Crepe person. I ordered the Milano, with grilled eggplant, mushrooms, roasted garlic, spinach and tomatoes with cheddar, mozzarella, cottage cheese and marinara. It was HUGE, served with home style potatoes and a house salad. My friend went for the Sweet Crepe. He had the Jamaican, Bananas in a caramel rum sauce with whipped cream and ice cream. This was pretty good, but very sweet. A total dessert crepe. We tore up those dishes, but could barely finish our food.
You get a lot for your money here. The portions here are huge and the service staff was very friendly. It was a good place to have a nice quiet lunch and I will be back again to try some of their other breakfast and lunch items. -

My friend and I decided to check out this location after relaxing at Dolores Park; we came with my dog, and it was a bit chilly outside so we asked the owner if it was fine if we brought him in with his crate and he said sure, so that was nice of him.
We ordered the Crepevine Club, and it was alright. It wasn't as good as the location in Burlingame. The chicken breast was dry and there were barely any avocados.
No one checked in on us to see if we were fine and he only gave us one cup of water, eh.
I'll just go to the Crepevine in Burlingame to fufill my Crepevine Club cravings.Listed in: Options for the starving…

They are NOT closing.
There is an updated sign in the window: they have resolved their issue with the help of Skyline Realty. God Bless Skyline Realty! Crepevine rocks and I love the staff. I was horrified when for a brief time it looked like they would close. People this is a wonderful place with good food, good karma. -

I have been coming here for many years, every couple of months or so, always for breakfast/brunch. In the past year, the food has improved dramatically. Formerly, it was a so-so creperie, comparable to Squat and Gobble, Crepes on Cole and so many others. Now it is practically a gourmet paradise. I admit, my sample of the menu is small. I almost always order the Salade Niçoise, a sumptuous combination of fresh greens, hard-boiled eggs and generous slices of seared ahi-tuna (not the usual canned tuna one expects in a Niçoise). I would recommend this place to my closest friends. Heck, I would even recommend it to my parents. It's that good!

Crepevine is the place to be for brunch.
I love their raisin walnut French toast and sweet crepes. They also have a selection of savory crapes, salads and sandwiches and cake for dessert. They have good prices and nice service (you order at the counter and then they bring your food to your table).
Limited outside seating available and close to public transportation.
