Review from Alex L.
What a wonderful way to start/end the day as I emerged from the tunnels to the surface!
Had a long night getting ready to go to SF. Got to Market St. at around 9AM. Of course, I've been away from the city for almost a year and a half. I had no idea that there's a Farmer's Market that opens on Wednesdays and Sundays at UN Square.
Of course, I was 'ungry, and the crepes called out to me. Called to me like I couldn't believe. I went and checked this place out. I'm glad I did.
Got the Ham and Cheese crepe to go. Very generous with the cheese and the ham. The crepe itself was thin and tender, but firm enough to hold the wonderfully delish contents.
Items of note:
1) The staff is very friendly and humorous. They take this shizz seriously, and yet, they are very smiley the day I got in front of their cash register
2) You can actually eat here. There's a seating setup, complete with tables, and a canopy for shade. The tables even have table cloths! Damn classy! There's even a good view of Market St.
3) Though some may find the prices a little steep, they do NOT skimp on the volume of the food they serve. The quality, of course, speaks for itself.
Maybe it was the hunger and the tiredness that made the food really delicious, but taking that aside, everything else made the experience more than decent.
I hope to see you again, and have another illicit love affair with your crepes.
Love,
Alex L. -

I am a Butter & Sugar/Cinnamon & Sugar Crepe gal. Once in while I will get nutella but I like my crepe simple and sweet. I do not like savory crepes so I cannot tell you about them. You have to tell me.
But my Cinnamon and Sugar Crepe this morning was divine. Firm yet not dry and nicely custardy while the edges were crispy. I took a bite and closed my eyes. Have I already mentioned it was DIVINE?
And I have been back many times since.
Right off United Nations BART station every Wednesday at Civic Center Farmer's Market.

My order was simple: Crepe with mushrooms and jack cheese. The lady that took my order was friendly and efficient. I got exactly what I ordered. The crepe was perfectly cooked and amply stuffed with generous amounts of mushrooms and cheese. After a recent undercooked crepe experience at another place, I was beyond pleased with the perfection of my savory crepe from Crepes Escape!

Amazing crepes at the Farmer's Market! :) I got a ham n cheese and a sugar cinnamon crepe (separate, of course...) Totally delicious and prices are fair. They have a little seating area next to the booth. So cute! Check it out next time you decide to go local and organic!

I haven't even had the crepes. Yet! Stopped off for a no wait smash and grab hot dog experience and the guy was so cool I had to Yelp about it. Thank you to "The Crepe Escape" no relation to the rohen whatever whatever.
