Love this place in Whistler. A little off the beaten path and different.
Very small, very intimate with only a few booths inside and then outside more tables (which is fine for summer).
Great traditional style crepes made with white/Buckwheat flour.
Many savoury as well as sweet and fruit ones to choose from. Also flambee desert crepes.
For fruit I love the Banana Caramel, for sweet (but it is not too sweet, I love the Honey Almond, and for savoury I like all of those - so it just depends on your preferences. Good bacon and Canadian bacon there and good coffee.
They also serve more traditional breakfast items there like omelets, waffles, and pancakes so for a breakfast place there is something for everyone.
I have not had dinner there but they offer a variety of savoury crepes, seafood crepes, and other desert crepes. They also have fondue, but I have not had the fondue there.
Very friendly French-Canadian staff.
My friend suggest we try this place because I love fondue and there are few choices for it in Vancouver.
The place is extremely cosy and cute, with seating for about 30?
Our companions had some pretty standard dessert crepes, and we shared the meat fondue (certainly something I haven't found in Vancouver yet!). I've always wanted to try it, and in a way, was slightly disappointed.
Beef broth based, the little bite sized morsels of beef, pork loin and shrimp, served as great sponges to soak up the delightfully seasoned broth. I was not fond of the 3 rich dipping sauces that were provided. They seemed a bit "out of the jar".
Not sure what the normal charge is for meat fondue and perhaps I'm not used to "Whistler" pricing, but $30/pp seemed a bit steep for what we had
Caucasian hot pot, is pretty much what we got. I kept wanting to ask for a bowl of white rice!
A great little place tucked away from the Whistler village main stroll, the "locals" would love to keep this place to themselves.
We've only had crepes here, all varieties tried are delicious, a mixed berries with crème Anglaise and a Champignons (mushrooms with Canadian bacon) crepe left the most vivid memory.
Decor is elegantly rustic. The two tables at the back (go to the end and turn left) are particularly cozy/cute. Warm services, genuinely friendly. Merci Beaucoup!
I love this place. It's compact, hidden, and has a nice country-style decor perfect for the menu items they serve.
We had the best server who was very personable. She entertained all our inquiries and made us feel at home.
I had a hearty classic Swiss cheese fondue delicately served in a copper pot. The white wine was very pronounced and the garlic slices were delectable. I had a shot of Kirsch which they eliminated from the recipe, but I found balanced the sharpness and overall flavour.
The chocolate crepes were of the milky variety. It would have been perfect if it was darker and a bit bitter, but this was equally satisfying.
Sips of the strawberry smoothie in-between bites made for an almost perfect experience at Crepe Montagne. I like how bananas was used to create the smoothie versus adding milk or yogurt (which they will gladly add should you want dairy).
Despite the above positive experince, the steep price for crepes and the pub style '90s background music knocked it off it's pedestal.
I will come back when in Whistler. If only for the service alone.

I'm in love with Crepe Montagne ... from the rustic, french decor to the amazing crepes. I almost don't want to review it so I can keep it all to myself. But alas ... here I am, spilling the goods on a great place to grab dinner in Whistler.
For all the times I've visited Whistler, I'm embarrassed to say I haven't ventured far from the main stroll through the village. Sitting just a block behind the stroll is a secret stash of *great* places to eat (unlike the crap served in the main stroll area ). Let's just say, this is where the locals hang out and eat.
Crepe Montagne offers a good selection of freshly made dessert crepes but also dinner crepes. The dinner crepes are served with a large side salad and are filled with savoury mixtures.
I ordered the chorizo which is accompanied by a bechamel sauce and cheese. It's rich and delicious, although the chorizo wasn't spicy at all (the only bummer during this meal). All of the dinner crepes are made with a buckwheat crepe batter.
While you wait for your order, many of the booths feature a magazine rack on the wall so you read if your dinner companion is rather boring (mine was not, so no reading for me).
The staff (one of whom was the owner, I think) were extremely friendly and helpful in ordering. Although stuffed from the dinner crepes, I ordered a chocolate/caramel dessert crepe. It was drenched in the most delicious chocolate sauce and caramel sauce ... so decadent.
Will be back for more crepes the next time we're in Whistler!
Oh, should note that dinner crepes are on the pricier side ... around $20 per crepe ... but I don't feel cheated. They were dang good.
Crepe Montagne is another gem on Main Street in Village North hidden away from the main pedestrian traffic on Village Stroll.
The rustic but clean and fresh looking interior offers an intimate dining ambiance. The menu is extensive with savoury and dessert crepes. We had savoury crepes with bratwurst and chorizo for dinner. Although I'm not a big fan of tomato sauce which my bratwurst came with, the juicy sausage and the dijon made up for it. The chorizo came with a good amount of gooey cheesy goodness.
We shared a sweet crepe with chocolate and caramel for dessert and we almost ordered another one but stopped with our senses.
Friendly staff! Cozy ambience! Yummy crepes! A winner in my book!
We ordered:
1) Oh! Berries, which is the "favorite" amongst all customers, and I thought the creme anglaise was a nice touch.
2) Rockies crepe: scrambled eggs, cheese, green onions and CANADIAN BACON! (YUM)
3) Lemon Curd: Yum, but only if you really like lemon curd, otherwise might be too lemon "puckery for your taste
4) Strawberry & Nutella; MUCH better than the Hot Buns bakery in the village, that is for sure. Sadly you can tell all the fruits are frozen, but i guess it is hard to get fresh berries in the dead of winter in Whistler.
I would go back for lunch and try the fondue.
This is almost a traditional French place. The service is decent and the food is really excellent. I think my crepes at home are better, but hey, I made them, right?
My only ding against this place is the prices are a bit high for what you get. I always want a sweet crepe, but I need something to cut the sugar or I'll be shaking by lunch. I got the Oh Berry crepes (good, but not fantastic as they sound) an egg and chorizo. The egg and chorizo were actually at least as good as the crepe. The chorizo was spicy and not at all greasy. Altogether I think the three were about 17 and I was able to eat it all, which isn't saying much as I've frequently been accused of being a small eater.
3.50 for real Canadian syrup!! Apparently it's very expensive to import from.... Canada. 2 oz. Of syrup. 3.50. I didn't order any, but if I did, I would expect the waitress to come back to the table with a ski mask on for that price.
The pace is tiny, but quaint. Wait times can be high in the winter when the patio isn't open.
This is the second time we've eaten here. The last time was a few years ago. It is consistently excellent. I get the eggs benedict and the hollandaise sauce is awesome. I also asked they substitute the hash browns that come with it with a pancake instead, which they did without hesitation. The pancake was freaking AWESOME. I think it was made with buckwheat. I just loved it, not sweet but just perfect.
My hubby had a crepe with berries on it and that was good.
My only complaint is the place is tiny and you feel like a giant in the mini booths in the back. Also the wait can be really long. We went around 11am (Christmas week) on a Wednesday and didn't wait at all. We'll be back.
I had high hopes, but the food really wasn't that good. The 'Classic' fondue had very little flavor. The crepes were mediocre. Certainly not worth the $21-$22 that we paid. The salad dressing, like the fondue, lacked flavor.
I did think the ambiance and service were both very good. But i wouldn't go back until they made sone changes and the food actually tasted good.
Wonderful little creperie in Whistler. We only tried crepes from the breakfast menu but they were all delicious. Very cozy environment where you'll get a good crepe served with a kind smile and a soft French accent.
Trés bon!
The savory breakfast crepes here are outrageously good and incredibly filling before a long day on the mountain. The sweet crepes are equally as impressive and worth every bite.
I've noticed at times the service has seemed a bit rushed and/or rude, but it appears to be just their efficient, pointed nature which is probably necessary in such a small space... they just don't show a lot of personality in their quest to provide good service. The food always arrives quickly and hot. By the end of each meal I am very happy with the service.
This is a 5 star restaurant based on the quality and flavor of the menu, but I have to ding one star for the prices. At breakfast... $7 for a fresh squeezed juice? Dinner prices are also a bit steep, but we keep coming back for more.
Crepes made anyway you want them. Good energy boost to wake me up and keep me going all day on the slopes.
Expect a wait, though because there's only a few tables and it can get pretty crowded.
I had a wonderful breakfast here while I was last up in Whistler for my birthday. The service was great and the food was fantastic.
I had a wonderfull breakfast crepe with eggs and ham and tomatoe (the 2010 crepe I believe) It was fantastic and super filling. Just the perfect thing to help recover from a late night.
My wife had the eggs benedict and they were to die for. Maybe it was just me being very hungry but they were the best part of the breakfast other than the fresh squeezed OJ.
I would recommend checking this place out. We really wanted to try lunch here but it wil have to wait until next time. I know crepes don't sound that sexy but damn are they good. Cheers.
Whenever I was feeling like treating myself to something special I would go to Crepe Montagne and get a chocolate and strawberry crepe. I have had a lot of crepes in my time, and these were superb. A good texture - not too thin that the crepe falls apart, not too thick that the crepe overpowers the filling. The savory crepes here are just as good.
It's a cozy place so seating can become an issue. Don't worry though, you can entertain yourself finding Waldo (Wally for all you non-North Americans). Albeit a bit on the pricey side, this is still a great place for families in the earlier dinner hours or a romantic date later on.

I've been here twice. The first time, the two of us shared the raclette meal, a hot plate that comes complete with deli meat, potatoes, Swiss cheese, and all the fixings. It was a pricey meal, but I came away full and satisfied.
The second time, we opted for just a chocolate fondue and wine; much less expensive, but equally delicious. Only top-notch food here.
I have tried both the breakfast crepe (egg and canadian bacon) as well as dessert crepes here. I think this is definitely an upscale crepe place. This shop is very small and consist of a European flair.
The price is on the high side but worth it.
Looking for a good breakfast or lunch? This is a hit! I wanted to order everything off the menu. I went a couple of times and loved everything. Great crepes and real good eggs. The prices are what you would expect. Wait staff doesn't seem to anticipate the lunch crowd and stalls. Place can be bigger as you feel crammed inside.
The crepes were delicious. The decor was lovely. The service was friendly. That's all I can ask for.
Not bad but not outstanding. 3.5 stars. I thought that it would have been better with crepes made to order. Quite expensive for what you get.
We ate here for lunch while we were visiting Whistler this summer. We ate outside on the shaded patio and enjoyed a delicious lunch. I had the chocolate and caramel crepe and my boyfriend had the goat cheese crepe, which had goat cheese, sun dried tomatoes, and a creamy tomato sauce. Both were absolutely fantastic! We were tempted to return before we left the area, but didn't have time. Highly recommended!
Delish crepes, excellent coffee, with seating being a bit of an issue at times. But sit back, relax and eat up the yummyness.
Love those crepes! I had the Oh! Berries with creme Anglaise, tasty. The Nordique and Bob Sleigh are also good. Friendly staff and good food, you just can't go wrong. Give this place a try if you like Crepes. They have Fondues, but did not try them.
