I love the ambiance and coffee at Crema! Together, it makes for a great cafe.
The clean, mostly white decor with the garage door front makes the front of the cafe feel light and airy. I find it tranquil and peaceful, especially on a sunny day. I haven't been to the back, so can't comment on it.
I've had the Americanos and cappucinos here and both were solid. The Americano was a good balance of espresso and water. The cappucino was delicious with well-frothed milk without overpowering the espresso.
Will definitely be back! -

Crema is a lovely, spacious cafe on the Danforth. I've been here four or five times, and have had uniformly great experiences. They offer coffee, cappuccino, a wide selection of teas, panini, and baked goods. There is a coffee card loyalty program.
During the weekdays, Crema is perfect for meeting a friend or working on your laptop. Yes, they do have wifi and several plugs. There are lots of tables (many more than Second Cup down the street, for example) so I always get a spot to sit and enjoy my beverage. The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet, with indie music playing quietly overhead. I never have a problem getting work done here due to loud music or staff. It's simply a calm, lovely cafe.
On the weekends (buy, sigh, only on the weekends) they offer a delicious breakfast sandwich. I highly recommended trying one very soon! -

I don't know what it is, but as a Junctionite I feel like a bit of a traitor to admit this, I prefer Crema Danforth to Crema Junction! But really it's just a matter of a few degrees so let me explain.
It could have to do with the location, Crema Danforth is in a neighbourhood that is not nearly as baby-full or laptop-jockey-ness as the Junction. Every cafe in the Junction is a battleground for freelancers and laptop commuters competing for space with stay-at-home parents and caregivers. Danforth location has more in the way of walk-up purchasers and despite obvious busy hours (lunch for instance) is a much calmer environment.
Also, due to the layout of the store, it's easier to interact with your Crema barista. They aren't huddled at the back, locked in behind the hightop bar, the lower table and more open area leaves the baristas with more space and they seem happier (less like they are caged up!)
The food quality is the same, the coffee is aromatic and fruity, the americanos smoky and creamy, the panini's and scones are just as great. But when it comes to location, I'm happier holing up on the Danforth than the one around the corner from my house. -

Something is lacking at this Crema Coffee Danforth location compare to it's Dundas location.
The space definitely is not as nice... but I like how this location has this garage door opened up not only let the fresh air in but good for people watching!
Don't even consider sitting at the back area of the shop... with minimum circulations and nothing much to see.. and WIFI not working while I was there... it would have make my experience even worse!!
Cappuccino was A-OK... not the cup I would be dreaming of when I need my caffeine fix!! -

Attention coffee lovers! Crema Coffee has opened their 3rd location and their second sit-in cafe on the Danforth! :D
After talking to Geoff (the owner of Crema), it took him exactly 2 months to haul-ass from signing the lease and opening the cafe to enthusiastic "Cremalonians" and new patrons in the neighbourhood.
The first thing you'll notice is their "garage-door" style window that rolls up to let in the cool summer breeze stream in throughout the cafe. It's very brightly lit throughout with mirrors at the front that make it feel the space feel a bit bigger than it actually is. At the back, they display art from local artists, which is a nice touch as well.
Since it was the opening day, Geoff spread a little "Crema love" by offering their awesome coffee on the house. I ordered a cappuccino and wasn't disappointed with the result, beautiful leaf latte-art with the frothed milk being in the ideal state - micro bubbles, nice colouring, and self-healing.
The feel and vibe is very similar to their Junction location as they hired the same contractors from 4 years ago.
For all of you coffee geeks, they've moved away from their usual 3-group Synesso Cyncra machines to the venerable 3-group La Marzocco FB/80 machine. As for their espresso beans, they're mainly sticking to 49th Parallel's Epic Espresso with some "guest espresso beans" thrown in once every so often.
Word has it they're also working closely with Andy at Te Aro to create their their own "Crema blend" .. so definitely watch out for that in the coming months.
East enders rejoice for another awesome cafe opening up! -

Love the location and the cafe ambience.
The coffee is good.
But the service...ehhh. The hipster service there is hit or miss. What's up with the snobbery?
This is a cafe, not an art gallery -
