Review from Johnny L.
All NFL and NCAA Football games here! For any Americans (or American football fans) who need to find a place that will actually show a college football game.
Cramdon's is a HUGE sports restaurant with a giant bar in the middle of the place. It's tucked away in the corner of the shopping plaza (same one as the Wholesale Club). The outside of the place makes it look tiny, but as soon as you walk in, you realize just how freakin big this place is. They have several pool tables and a huge dining room to go with that aforementioned bar. The menu is pretty expansive and they have a variety of bar food staples such as burgers, wings, and sandwiches. I've been here on several occasions to watch some Miami Dolphins games (I'm the guy who left Miami to come all the way to Windsor). I've had a variety of the food there.
Starting with the chicken wings there, this place is pretty good. The chicken wings are big and they come with an order of fries. So 1lb of wings (about 8-9 wings) and fries will be about $10. The wings are crisp on the outside and the sauce is good. Not spicy though. The burgers are fantastic. The Works Burger is big and juicy. it comes with bacon, mushrooms, onion rings, and mozzarella sauce. Their burgers are definitely worth the price.
Their steak sandwich is also a winner. It's a grilled NY Strip steak topped with swiss cheese and onion rings on a fresh baquette. The steak is not the kind that should be on a sandwich, but it tasted so good. Plus giant fried onion rings....seriously, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. It's not for people looking to diet.
Avoid the brisket and pulled pork sandwiches. Not a fan. It's not a bbq place so it shows. Don't let these items be the first thing you try...you might decide not to come back and miss out on others.
I've also had their broasted chicken (like fried chicken) which is great! They take a while to come out to your table, but the great thing is that it's because they are piping hot and fresh when they come. I've had it a couple of times and it's always been hot. The chicken is juicy but could use a little more seasoning. It's unlimited on Sundays, so bring an appetite.
Overall, Cramdon's is a wonderful joint to come to when you are watching a game. TV's EVERYWHERE. Different specials everyday, so you should go check it out. Good food and good company are all you need when you're at Cramdon's. -
