Decent new-ish place on College st with extensive variety of desserts.

They have posh chocolate truffles at the back ($1.75 each or they do up boxes of 5), gelato at the front and the entire mid counter is lined with a zillion desserts and cakes.

The prices here seem to vary greatly - some of the options seemed overpriced and some were very reasonable. A huge slice of chocolate cake, for example, was only $3.50. But a finger sized mini-cannelloni was $2.

Creme also has an extensive drinks list, mostly coffee and coffee/booze combinations. My iced coffee was $2.25.

Spacious modern interior and a small patio are out front with 4-5 tables.

If you return again with your receipt, they give you 10% off your next purchase.

Excellent dessert selection, with prices lower than I'd expect for the area.  The place isn't very crowded, which could be a function of its newness or of the glut of dessert places in the area.  Still, it's a nice place to end a night out.

Newly opened Creme is a nice gelato place, situated so close to Dolce that one expects it's to get their run-off.  However, I think that given the quality of product at Creme, the tables may turn.

While not having as much variety in Gelato as Dolce, Creme offers many other sweets to tantalize your palette.

One thing we tried was this fruit-sugar sweetened cake-square - AMAZING!

Been thrice- once great, once OK, once not good.

It's a super sweet space - very big, bright, and clean. Very nice ending to a date out on college street drinking (I assume...). There are a lot of different deserts here - once I got stale cake and that sort of turned me off. I like that it brought a little competition to Dolce down the street, though- seems they turned it up a notch since.

Creme is open late- which is nice- and has a large outdoor patio.

The review on blogTO is not an awful writeup, but the pictures suck ass / don't give the place justice.

Can you say worst gelato ever? This place is air conditioned very strongly, and I understand why now. Ever tried leaving the place with your gelato on a Summer day, or even night? Your gelato will melt within seconds. It becomes a wet, sticky mess, and you can't have any more. The speed it melts is insane.
I tried leaving here in the afternoon once with a friend, and we actually had to stop to clean me up, because I couldn't eat it quick enough compared to the melting speed.
I tried it again on a cooler night with my aunt, and before we cold even get to the car, again, it melted all over me! We had to pull out some baby wipes my aunt had in her car to clean us up, while it was starting to dribble on my leg. How wonderful it as when the sweet smell of gelato attracted a bee, and it stung me.
Once that incident happened, I swore to never go there again. It's not the flavor or anything was my problem. It's that I can't leave the freezing place (okay, I admit. It might not be FREEZING, but I get cold easily, and don't remember what it's like) without losing my gelato.
If I drop by ever again, if I want gelato, I'm going to have to bring a cardigan or jacket. Or I can just avoid the gelato and choose from their other deserts, which look lovely.
I have to make it one star, because I just got so upset by those experiences. Maybe I should give the other place a try, but I know other places can guarantee proper gelato that I can bring outside.

I went for the gelato - yummy!
I had the vanilla and my friend had had the yogurt with some type of berry mixed in (raspberry?).

We were there on a Saturday night - only one other person in the cafe.  Hopefully business will pick up with warmer weather.
