SO NEAT!
It's your typical homemade ice cream and what not but they have a whole entire store of cow merchandise...and full disclosure I freakin' LOVE cows, I am oddly obsessed with them.
I ran around the store like a four year old looking and the shirts, gloves, hats, aprons, bags, stuffed cows, bookmarks, you name it...they got it, and it's ALL cow themed.
Now that I have talked non stop about the store...the ice cream was pretty good too! -

I love stopping at Cow's for ice cream whenever I'm in Whistler. It's a great place for anyone, young or old. The perfect treat in summer, but make no mistake, they get business all year round. The winter season does not stop people from getting their Cow's!
They have an assortment of delicious and fun flavors with funny cow-referenced names. I recommend the Wowie Cowie with fresh vanilla and chunks of toffee, skor and chocolate chips. Mmm ...
Order your ice cream and browse around the shop for fun Cow's souvenirs, they have everything from t-shirts, keychains, alarm clocks that moo, and more.
One thing to note: they don't have anything sugar-free for diabetics, it's a sugar-crazed factory here, I'm afraid. My diabetic friend asked about their options but since they didn't have anything for her, the guy behind the counter gave her a single kids' scoop instead. They do have a fat-free sherbet, but that's not the same! -

Ice cream was ok. As others said, it's pretty pricey. They have some interesting flavors. I wish they would put descriptions on all of the ones that don't say immediately what is in it so I don't have to ask what every single flavors is. Everything seemed to have caramel in it. I enjoyed the maple and walnut flavor.
The waffle cones are yummy!
They have a little gift shop with all types of fun cow shirts. Got one for my son "thomoos and friends" and it is a Thomas train that looks like a cow. Also, Hello Cowy that has a bow like Hello Kitty for my daughter. Fun little gift they can remember Whistler by. -

Fun ice cream shop in Whistler Village! Definitely a tourist trap and the ice cream is a bit on the pricey side, but there's novelty to some of their flavors and all scoops served in a one came in a waffle cone! I actually order a kiddie scoop and the size totally hit the spot. A few friends shared a sundae, which was also a good idea.
Even at 9:30 pm on a snowy evening, there's still a line out the door for ice cream. So plan to wait in line and take some time to walk around their gift shop. There are some really cute novelty items! -

It's cold and snowing, but Cow's still makes a great treat after a day of riding. Once again, it was my go-to spot for ice cream in the Village. I loved the dense, creamy texture of the ice cream. Be sure to get one of their waffle cones or bowls, which seem to be made fresh daily. Just follow the smell of waffles to Cow's!

Delicious down to the waffle cone!
It's pricey for what it is but it's real good. I really liked their maple walnut ice cream and I can't get enough of their waffle cone.
This ice cream store is also a gift shop. They have really fun items. Go check it out! -
Review from Sophia C.
Hmmm...perhaps because it's practically the only place in the Whistler village to serve ice cream...can explain the infamous "best ice cream" in Whistler. Best? I think best needs to be replaced with ONLY and call it correctly.
Again...tourist trap here. I'm a sucker for anything cows (my favorite animal!), but even I was was no and idiot to pay with US dollars conversation of about ~$5 US dollars...for one bloody scoop of ice cream! You may be better off buying ice cream at the local IGA and at least be able to share a carton of the same price with people, including cones. -
Review from Sheryl D.
Can honestly say I tasted the fatty contents of Cow's ice cream individually; real cream, fresh milk, fresh eggs and all the good stuff that make great ice cream...and waffles...the waffles!! You know you're in good company when you can actually make out the "real" ingredients on your tongue. That said, Ben and Jerry's and even Haagen Daz is equally good and not that expensive. I suspect the high ratings this place gets is partly due to the ice cream and hugely due to the fanaticism mountain air induces. Everything in Whistler is just "better". The maple walnut and blueberry flavours we tried were both excruciatingly delicious, defined in my book as so good it's painful to swallow (because then it's gone!).
Would I go back for more? Of course! I've never been known to say no to ice cream (or cake). -

Cow's has great ice cream and a friendly staff. A little pricey but I didn't regret it...

Umm, I'm sorry, but didn't someone say ICE CREAM?
This place is for real. Walking in, you smell the delicious scent of freshly made waffle cones and bowls, delish. I had several flavors, each better than the last.
There isn't too much to say, it's ice cream. It's GOOD ice cream. Yeah, it's pricey. But here's a tidbit, WHISTLER IS PRICEY. I mean everything is expensive there, so I'd rather spend a bit on really good ice cream.
A must-stop on your Whistler trip. -

5$ for a scoop, but it's not a big scoop. It's more of a scoop your mother would give you to shut you up. Umm, it was okay not an alleluia moment, but expect long lines. Maybe this place needs competition, anyone, baskin Robbins?
They have great trinkets that involves cows and umm..yeh nothing else, NEXT! -

Cow's is great! Love all the flavors! It was just a little pricey. Great over all.

It's ok ice cream. For you crazy ice cream addicts (like myself) who want to eat ice cream even when its like 10 degrees (Fahrenheit) outside, it's your typical ice cream store.
But what makes it different? How about their cheesy t-shirts with cow themes!? Moorio Kart, Farmbook, MooTube, Sidney Cowsby, Steer Trek? How could you go wrong?
Just go to http://www.cows.ca so you can order their t-shirts online. -

Always a favorite spot when I come up. I just like to look at their funny merchandise. They ice cream is pretty good. I don't think it is necessarily anything to write home about. But if I am in the mood for a scoop of ice cream when it is 20 below outside, I might stop in.

They have implemented cost saving measures. They now weigh every cone. $4.25 plus tax for a miniscule scoop of ice cream in a gigantic waffle cone = fail!
End of the night waffle cones tasted like crap. You would think they would have made some fresh ones.
Off the list. -

Always need to do an ice cream stop. Though there are a few places to choose from, I picked Cows because of an article in their window that stated they were the world's best ice cream by the staff of Tauck World Discovery. Hah, okay random, but whatever the hooked worked.
One of the reasons why Cows is ranked highly is because of their high butterfat content of 16%. Moo moo cow indeed! They also state on their website that their ice cream has minimum air, this high density lets the ice cream slowly melt in your mouth. Of course, like all high quality ice cream parlors, they only use the finest ingredients: fresh cream, real eggs, sugar, pure natural vanilla, imported Holland cocoa, and etc. Wow, okay sounds good to me. Especially in the cold, right? Yup! So, I grabbed a scooped before heading out for some snow shoeing.
I love how the price includes a homemade waffle cone with your scoop. I was taken aback by that. The staffer replied matter-of-factly, "how else would you eat your ice cream? We only use the best at Cows." Wow, my expectations for ice cream are pretty low! Dang it, I need to step up my expectations because waffle cones with ice cream are so delicious. I need to start splurging on that more, especially when they are homemade. Anyways, their ice cream was yummy, but nothing mind blowing. More traditional, like my favorite Strickland's Ice Cream in Irvine. Bumped to 4 stars because of their homemade waffle cones included with your scoop of ice cream. -

Ice cream is suitable for any weather, even when it's 25 degrees F outside! I was surprised to walk by and see a long line for this place, especially when it was so cold outside. And of course I had to try it after that.
The ice cream was decent, but I've had better. It was a little too sweet for my taste. They have pretty typical ice cream flavors, nothing out of the ordinary. They also sell their own brand of shirts, that reminds me of the Big Dogs brand. Shirts that have slogans like "MooTube" and other random phrases that they add "MOO" and "COW" to. It's the type of stuff you'd buy for your 5 year old. Because I love ice cream so much, I will definitely come back next time I'm in Whistler. -

After our crappy lunch at Citta, we walked over here for what turned out to be some seriously good ice cream!
Yes, it is busy and yes they have a ton of flavors but man oh man did I pick a winning flavor combination! I had a black cherry ice cream scoop AND a scoop of a coffee, oreo, toffee combination that was heavenly. Sadly others in the group opted for a mint ice cream that was so strong flavored it tasted a bit like mouthwash.
The only downside was that I had to scarf down the ice cream before getting on the bus to take us back to the train station. The brain freeze was worth it though! -

Pleasantly surprised by how good Cow's was. I grew up going to Whistler every weekend as a kid to ski, but never much in the summer. Went to Whistler with some friends last weekend (as a grown adult) and had a big hungover brunch and then decided we wanted ice cream. Cow's is a pretty cute kitchy place with good ice cream and pretty witty paraphenilia (ie. a shirt with a cow version of Justin Beiber that said "Justin Beefer"). The staff were all international and friendly and seemed excited to be in Whistler (we chatted with a few of them). Had pralienes and cream in a chocolate waffle cone and it was well worth the calories.

Loved it! Fun flavors and store. Went back twice during our 4 day stay. Everyone was so friendly there, who wouldn't if you were breathing in super sweet ice cream air all day.

Odd that after a day of skiing that ice cream tastes so good! Always a fun atmosphere and plenty of choices for the whole family. Fun place for all.

Review from Wilafur L.
who would've thought ice cream in 20 degree (f) weather would be a good idea? well, it certainly was!
the waffle cones were very tasty as was the coffee toffee crunch and pralines and cream ice cream. service was very friendly but the line can be a bit long at times.
i'll be back. -
Review from Aprille R.
This place didn't live up to its hype. It was good but nothing that impressed me. It's funny that although it was cold outside that I still ate ice cream... I tried the Mocha flavored ice cream. Eh...

I have to start off by saying i SO disagree with the majority of reviews here. We went twice on our visit to Whistler... Long line both times, but moved pretty quickly. i didn't think the prices were bad at all. The waffle cones were in a word, amazing. The flavors were so good, and the service was very friendly. Definitely a must-do.

I wasn't blown away. As far as creamy-oh-so-creamy-rich-and-bad-for-you ice cream goes, I'll take the Marble Slab Creamery any day. For what it is, Cow's ice cream is overpriced... Mind you, we didn't go to Whistler for the ice cream.

Long lines, but worth it. We came here twice it was so good. If you like Cherry Garcia, you'll love their Don Cherry. On the downside, slow service and 16% butterfat, so not the place for those on a strict diet.

Review from Eloise M.
I really do love Cow's. The ice cream here is absolutely incredible, and even though it may be freezing outside, you've still got to head in for a scoop of ice cream. Although, with the current exchange rates, you'll be paying close to $5 for one scoop of ice cream, I still think that it's definitely worth it. Cow's is much like a Ben & Jerry's, complete with its own unique flavors that change daily. And even if you're just not an ice cream type person when it's snowing outside, it's always fun to get a picture next to the cow or buy yourself a "MooTube" t-shirt. It's really just got that cool vibe that makes you want to opt for that ice cream scoop to complement the weather instead of a generic hot chocolate.

If you have ever had Ben & Jerry's, Bi-Rite Cremery, or real Italian gelato - then skip Cows. It's nothing more than Dreyer's with good marketing. They use appropriately-themed names for their flavors and artificial coloring. The taste isn't anything special, but the lines are long anyway. It might be because the place is also a gift shop for all the Olympic knick-knacks, but otherwise, you can save your money and get some gelato at Bocca.
