I just bought a commuter bike at Cove Bike Shop and my boyfriend gets all of his mountain biking stuff there. They set me up with a bike and gear for a very nice price and actually recommended a cheaper version of what I went in there looking for which rarely happens when you shop for anything anywhere!
The service is very friendly and they really know their stuff. I am NOT an avid biker, on the contrary I hadn't been on a bike in 15 years and I didn't feel like I was treated like a second class citizen because of it.
I highly recommend Cove Bikes. Reasonable prices and excellent service. -

I wish I could write a good review for Cove Bikes. I purchased a coupon for a tune up and numerous things including delays, attempted at overcharging, and not even doing basic activities for a tune up contributed to a very bad experience and two missed rides. One, two, even three of these things wouldn't have been a big deal. All together, left a sour taste in my mouth and will not be back. On the quest to find a new place to tune up my bike. Suggestions welcome :)

this place is a downhill/freeride biker's paradise. loads of selection, tons of brands and really knowledgable staff. my friend was checking out helmets here, told the shop owner that he'd seen the price for the helmet lower elsewhere and the owner immediately cut $40 off the price. clearly biking products have a big mark-up, but it was nice to see discounts being tossed out without haggling.
all their staff are riders and seem pretty stoked about talking about bikes, whether you are a beginner or a pro.Listed in: bikes vancouver

I'm not a downhiller and I think this is more the shop for those who like to coast downhill and drive their cars to the trailhead, but they do sell some commuter and cyclocross bikes and sale priced items are pretty good for Kona and Brodie products. Come armed with research and knowledge, though, because I'm not convinced the staff knows much about these types of bikes.
