I stay at a lot of Marriott properties, all I've got to say is meh to this place.
Efficient, yet unenthusiastic check-in. Average room. Poor location if you're doing anything downtown, turning left onto Upper James is slow/tricky at the best of times.
Late-starting brunch for early-risers, not very good, also pricey. -

Very noisy guests in the hall all night prevented a decent nights sleep. When I went to take a shower in the morning I found it filthy from the last guest. So gross I couldn't wait to leave this place. They offered a free breakfast but I had no desire to eat here. I will now travel with Lysol.
