Overall, this is one of the nicer Costco's that I frequent.
Sometimes the foodcourt, dinner for under $3 is uber appealing (Hot dog IS a food group I tell ya!!) Then there is the evil poutine, *sigh* I've tried many around town, and this still beats even Frenchies.
Ok, what about the store? It's your standard Costco actually, so you need to have done your research and know your prices.
Sure, when you buy in bulk, things may SEEM like a great deal here, but I still find that 80% of the items can be bought cheaper individually or packed differently for lower at other stores.
I mainly hunt here for a few items that can't be found anywhere else..ahh bulk Kashi cereal how it makes my mornings.
Yes, you do have limited payment options, cash, debit or Amex. But why use credit?? Save the fees, and pay with debit. -

I think the idea that Costco has the BEST return policy out there is a complete myth. Why do people feel the need to spread such untruths? I'm a long-time Costco customer only because they have a great house brand, and I love their chicken wings. I also love the novelty of shopping in the US with my card.
The only thing that irks me is if you really ever have to return something, they are complete ASSES about it. Recently I noticed a price drop within 30 days of getting a GPS. I inquired nicely about it only to accused of lacking the integrity that a Costco customer should have since I also inquired about returning my item (FYI their electronics aren't that great, and you can get it cheaper with true after service at London Drugs). I normally don't make these kinds of purchases here, and will never again. They do not stand behind their products or their "amazing" return policy. They even stated to me that you can return something for any reason at any time, but for some reason if you are making a return or even inquiring about it you really are a douchebag for taking advantage of it.
If I wanted to feel like crap I would've shopped at Worst Buy. -

Good things about this Costco: It's bright, well lit, and well staffed. There are plenty of cashiers so the lines ups at 2pm on a Sunday aren't that bad.
The bad things about this Costco: The elbow throwing slack jawed yokels that have no problem pushing past children and the elderly for a fresh sample of lightly salted mixed nuts. -

Awesome in so many ways, as outlined in other reviews.
But I DESPISE the packing side of the whole experience. Everybody does. I mention to a packer at Save On or Safeway that I am so grateful they treat my produce carefully and with respect. At Costco... My produce is shoved and pulled and stacked aggressively and usually with little care. You'd think that you'd get better treatment for a $100 membership, really.
Ah, well.
But I will continue going, of course. -

I have mixed feelings about this place lol. I wonder if it is because I have to buy a membership to enter. Anyway, for a few items it is a great deal (i.e. grapes, canned goods for the larder) and for others the cost to get there does not out weight the benefits especially when there are only two of us. Also, if you are looking for healthy bulk options these will be few and far between.
The think that bothers me a bit (could be a good thing though) is that the only credit card they accept is American Express. -

I needed a swimsuit because I am stupid and forgot to pack one. Costco to the rescue!
Unfortunately, Costco only stocks size large to humongous in swimsuits. Why, Costco, why?
The answer was right in front of me. They serve poutine in their food court. Yep, poutine at the food court. I definitely had to buy a size larger swimsuit after that new option entered my life. -

Holy crap! Canadian Costco has poutine in the food area?! And no chicken bakes, which is fine with me (those are gross). That's just rad.
This Costco came in handy when we were staying at the Burnaby Cariboo RV park. We needed water, batteries, and swimsuits.
Seriously.
That's what we needed, and that's what we got. And it served us well.
On a side note, there's nothing quite like helping your boss dig through a Costco-sized pile of womens swimsuits to find one that's the right size...
for her, not me. -

Wow. Did you know that Costco in Canada has ribs at their food court? No chicken bake, but I'd take ribs over the chicken bake any day. And fries and fried chicken? Sells bottled water - the big kinds for you dispensers? And has tonnes of different sausage?
It's clean. The baked goods do not expire right away. AND there is lots of selection! Costco Canada! I'm a fan. -

Costco has great beef steaks particularly the rib steaks, and I love buying items their because they have the best return policy. Some people ruined this by exchanging their TV's or PC's when they became dated so now they only have a 90 return on those and other electronic items. Just some guy returning a bulky rear projection TV he bought before the new policy kicked in probably still works.

I think Costco is a great invention, and I love having this handy location. I think I have been foruntate and havent wandered in at really busy times yet. I like that I find random things I am not necessarily looking for there, plus shopping in bulk quantities makes sense when you live with some who eats a lot of food.

This is the first and original Costco in BC and it still looks the same as it did in the 1980's. On the weekends, it feels very empty which is a good thing! Watch out for out-of-control carts in the hilly parking lot.

Try the macarons at Costco. They are in the frozen food section. Best I have had in Vancouver. I have tried, Ganache Bakery, Thomas Haas, Beard Papa and a couple of others.

If Costco is open to the public, i would be a bigger fan. I can only get in if I know someone with the card, otherwise, i have to pay good money to get into this place. If you are looking into buying things in bulk (maybe when i'm married with kids) this is the place to go do your weekly shopping. There is A LOT of people in here at all times.
