Great place. Any visit to Cora's in Toronto requires you to stand in line for at least 10 minutes. St. John's location is very large and the service was great with no line up. You are also overlooking the harbour so that was a bonus.

I went to this restaurant yesterday morning for breakfast with my mother. The waitress made us wait until she was finished shoving food in her mouth and eating to come over and seat us. Then there eas only 2 girls serving and hosting people to their seats.
I ordered the 1990s harvest it's was not even close to the way it was supposed to be made and the fruit was fermented. I assume it was precut and kept over the weekend then served to me on the following Tuesday morning.
My mothers tuna melt was basically a tuna sandwich and her fruit was rotten consisting of shriveled grapes and sour pineapple
I was very disappointed with the service and with the food
I do not recommend this cora's -

It's my first time eating at Cora's since I'm not from the area and I'm assuming US doesnt have this restaurant chain. I went in one morning and was excited to see the bright pictures of the delicious food and fruits. The orange juice is pretty good, although a bit pricey for the size of the glass. (I guess OJ is just expensive anywhere)
I ordered french toast on crepes with loads of fruit on top, along with english creme. I didn't get to finish the entire plate since it was a huge serving. But I was also not as satisfied with the meal. I loved the fruit and english creme, but the crepe and french toast tasted rather bland.
I came in for lunch with coworkers (their choice), thinking "ok i'll give Cora another shot, maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.." Got the special "raspberry, strawberry, banana, pineapple smoothie" that they had and though all natural, I didn't think it was that great and tasty. I ordered some kind of chicken filled crepe with salad and soup on the side. Again, wasnt really blown away by the food. It tasted so plain! -

I've experienced a better quality/standard at other locations, ie Montreal. I find there is not enough care taken when the fruit is prepped, and when the eggs are cooked. Maybe it's the meal I order, but I think this place is overrated. I've tried both locations in St. John's, and it's definitely not my place by choice.

Cora's is a pretty good place to grab breakfast. Be warned, though, that it closes by 3:00 p.m., so it can only service your breakfast and your lunch needs.
