The #1 thing I appreciate about Cora's is that most, if not all, of their dishes come with fresh fruit. The #1 thing I don't appreciate is the waiting time. The line, especially on the weekends, usually loops around the entire waiting area inside the restaurant and goes all the way out the door. When you're finally seated though, it's a pretty fantastic breakfast.
My favourite here is the Eggs Ben et Dictine, which has the standard English muffin, poached eggs (2), and Hollandaise sauce, but also has asparagus and cheese. I'm not sure about their specific cheese choice, though, as some friends of mine have received brie with their order, and others have had Swiss. I honestly can't remember which one I had at this location, but it was tasty nonetheless. It comes with roasted potatoes and a variety of fresh fruit, and I opted for some bacon on the side because.. well, I love bacon. I can't complain about anything! The eggs were poached well, the potatoes weren't greasy, the bacon was crispy, and the fruit was actually fresh.
The service was fairly fast once we were seated, even though the restaurant was extremely busy. They offer a pretty good selection of breakfast/brunch items, including eggs, bagels, crepes, waffles, french toast, fresh fruit, cottage cheese, and yogurt. Their lunch items include paninis, wraps, soups, and salads. I find Cora's to be much more expensive than your usual breakfast places, but the quality also seems to be higher.Listed in: Glutton

I'm always baffled by how inconsistent Cora's throughout Canada is. I mean it's breakfast, the easiest meal of the day to cook.
I've tried it in MTL and it's always been really good, I've tried it in TO and it's ok, the one Niagara Falls is terrible.
This Ottawa Cora's is ok. Like most other Cora's you get a side of breakfast with the fruit that comes!
The prices are reasonable and the portions large. The staff here is pretty nice as well.
If you're looking for a breakfast without breaking the bank in the Market, your options are limited but this place is a good start.Listed in: 2012: 366 Day Challenge, Ottawa: Breakfast Spots!

Overall decent breakfast reasonable price. -

Cora's has a nice menu providing sweet and savory options, but all the breakfasts are quite large and generally start at about $10. I ordered a coffee, orange juice, and Oatmeal. The food was very good, but the portions were much too large on the oatmeal - think giant mixing bowl full.
I highly recommend the OJ, though. -

Located just a stone's throw from Byward Market, Cora's is a popular breakfast diner which first originated in Quebec. It's not hard to see why customers keep coming back; their menu offers variety to please everyone: crepes, omelets, waffles, French toast ... all accompanied by a generous serving of fresh fruit!
My visit to this Ottawa location was met with satisfaction, as I ordered my usual eggs benedict with asparagus and cheese. Echoing Amanda's review below, the staff works very hard and seems to keep everyone happy, but don't expect any smiles.
A very dependable place; good place for families with young children, as well as large groups. Just don't expect to be seated without waiting in line! -

Lot better places to have breakfast. For a couple of bucks more try the Chateau Laurier!

Admittedly, when I think of breakfast at Cora's, I start to salivate a little bit more. Sure, sure, it's a bit pricey, some of the food isn't that healthy and the line-ups can be crazy. But there's a reason for the line-ups: the food is so friggin' good! I'm a huge fan of their strawberry, banana, kiwi, whipped cream, custard and strawberry coulis waffles...with a side of hash browns, of course. Theo's omelette and the raspberry crepe are also delicious. I can accept a bit of an extra waddle to my step upon leaving the establishment if it means eating these meals.
They also have a small lunch menu, which is only available during weekdays. The staff can be friendly, but I've had some bad service. However, these people are run ragged, so I can understand.
If you want a quiet breakfast, this isn't the place to go. But if you want to go to one of the few restaurants that doesn't skimp on fruit, especially the good kind (boo to melon filler!), Cora's is the place to go. If you want to avoid the fatty breakfasts, there are plenty of tasty alternatives. -

Ok ok ok....Cora's is like Denny's only perhaps slightly more complicated and wayyy more overhyped. Large portions and this location is PACKED....but I still don't understand why. The food is hit and miss, eggs can be overcooked, fruit a bit unripe and man oh man, service is just order already or move out.
Avoid the mess and try somehwere else. Cora's is a chain and I believe the Quebec franchises have it better. -

I love Cora for Sunday's breakfast. The menu has a great selection and the food is awesome! The only problem I noticed is that it's not the same as the Cora in Granby, QC. There's a huge difference in two in terms of food quality, quantity and the service. Other than that, a perfect place to have breakfast!

Cora's definitely a decent place for breakfast and fine for multiple visits but overall it's a bit overrated and expensive. Today I had the smoked salmon eggs benedict (they have an alternate "clever" spelling that I forget), a coffee and orange juice and it came to $25 with a regular tip. It's not exactly budget dining.
The food is all fine and there's lots of good fresh fruit but every meal I've had here has been decidedly average. Nothing bad to report but nothing all that excellent either. It is a very popular location and so it can be difficult to get a table if you go at peak times.
