Review from Heidi L.
Seattle, WA
Just found this place today after paddling with my dragon-boat team (go Seattle Flying Dragons!) on Lake Union. They are a cute little floating restaurant tucked away right next to China Harbor (they are on the south side of China Harbor).
Their menu is minimal: burgers, hotdogs, salads, BBQ, as well as ice creams, smoothies and sodas. But the burger I had was great: flame broiled to order (medium rare, thank you!) while I hung out in the cute little seating area which is an open shaded deck above their little floating kitchen and grill area.
The view was great, could see all the boats passing by on Lake Union plus downtown Seattle, and the service was fantastic. This is a family owned and operated business and I was treated like an old friend by the mom and daughter who made me feel very welcome.
I got the Nutty Frog burger (flame broiled burger, bacon, peanut butter, lettuce and pickles) cooked to order (medium rare) and it was great. You could tell the meat and all ingredients were fresh and of very good quality. I've never had peanut butter on a burger before and it was surprisingly good! Yum! I will definitely be back!
They have limited hours though, but they seemed very willing to stay open if they know people are coming. They said just call them to let them know when you want to come and they will accommodate you. Also, they only take cash but there's an ATM in the lobby of China Harbor. Oh and they are tiny, can only seat about 20 people or so.
