This place has the BEST tea I've ever had. We were only visiting so I'm so has Communitea is so far away!

We had a light lunch and tea there while we were in town. We ended up buying a lot of tea to bring back with us. They have a variety of teas that are awesome!

I'll agree with most of the reviews for Communitea, it really is the place you need to visit when you visit Canmore. Walking towards here you'll run across some random artistic inscribing on the path, only to have your friend criticize you for being a "stupid tourist" for wanting to take a picture.

Everyone at Communitea were friendly and charming, again one of those things that really welcome people to a place over and over again. I kept jumping on and off the line and kept grabbing the menu because I didn't quite know what to get. Finally I decided on their daily specials which consisted of their mushroom soup and shitake mushroom rice bowl. It would also be retarded if you didn't get tea at a tea joint so we ordered a ginger tea. The meal was refreshing and satisfying. I had no regrets starving myself for hours and having to be grumpy. Prices

I loved the crowd that walks into this place. It's when I looked around and daydreamed how I could just run away to Canmore, grow a headfull of dreadlocks, adorn myself in symbols, seduce a bevy of intelligent women, and make a living teaching JIU-JITSU to everyone. It beats working downtown, wearing Yves St. Laurent seersucker suits on hot summer days, eating CHARCOOOOOTERIIE with clients during lunch, and getting rejected by bronzed Asian blondes at the club.

If you want the best tasting latte in town, go here. I make it a point to get to Communitea whenever I am in town. I'm sure it sounds a bit odd to rave about the espresso when they are marketed as more of a tea house, but such is how it is.

If you get there early enough to take advantage of their breakfast menu, you MUST have their take on the Elvis peanut butter banana sandwich - the peanut butter, honey and banana panini. It's made with organic products, and it tastes absolutely amazing.

I have yet to have anything from here that I have been disappointed with. Most everything is organic food, and they have numerous gluten-free and vegan dishes.

They also often have live music - the layout of the restaurant is very modular, in that everything is movable or is on wheels. I had the privilege to see a live jazz trio show here, and I was impressed with how they shifted the layout to accommodate the musicians. Acoustically, the room isn't the best (lots of hard walls meant occasional feedback issues initially), but once the sound was locked in it was a great time.

Definitely will be back either during the day or for a show if I'm in the area when one is going on. Highly recommended.

I love visiting Communitea when I come to Canmore. I've tried a number of their drinks - all are excellent.

In my opinion, lattes are graded by how much sugar I need to add to make it taste good. At Communitea, I don't need to add sugar - that means it's a GOOD latte.

The food is also awesome... I've tried a quinoa salad that was very tasty. The menu is ever-changing and has really unique items.

My only comment is that the food might be a little pricey for my liking. So it's a once-in-a-while kind of occurrence rather than every time I go there.

They also have live music some evenings, which I've never managed to hit up - need to rectify this.

All in all, a definite must-visit while in Canmore.

It's a must do during my personal Canmore excursions. The variety of teas, coupled with the "French Press" experience gives Communitea that feel of some place special.

This trip we had the strawberry and organic pear green teas. Even in the presses the aroma of the teas heightens the anticipation, they smell so good. We also had an Almond-Apple-Spinach salad (forgot the actually name of the dish) that was off the charts. With the additions of red peppers, dried cranberries and balsamic dressing this was a refreshing, healthy light snack. So simple, but so delicious.

The service is excellent and the cafe with its ample white interior and lots of sunlight shinning through gives me a kind of positive vibe buzz. I always find coming here such a rejuvenating experience!

We woke up early today, thanks to the time change, and we decided instead of waiting until 10am -- when all of the breakfast joints around our place open -- we drove to Canmore for some brunch.

I heard good things about Communitea and also found out that they carry delcious gluten-free goods.  It was easy to find too, though Canmore isn't that big!  We both ordered the Classic Breakfast Panini with a gluten-free rice wrap.  It had scrambled eggs, tomato, avocado, hummus, and lettuce -- and probably more that I can't remember.  Yum! The coffee was great too -- after we wandered around the town for a couple of hours we went back and grabbed a couple lattes for the road.  My husband got a Maple Latte!  Amazingly delicious.

I would definitely take the time to drive out to Canmore again for breakfast or perhaps tryout their lunch/dinner menu.  We also found out that they host live music including some pretty big acts including Cuff the Duke, Jason Collett, and The Good Lovelies! Impressive.  Surely giving the Canmore Hotel a run for their money.

Also, beautiful spacious modern space with really friendly staff.  Next time remind me to grab a gluten-free cupcake with matcha icing!

Amazing coffee, friendly staff. I never ate here but the food looks amazing. Whenever I am in Canmore I make a special trip to this place for my maple latte!  They do a fantastic job of making latte's here.  Be prepared to wait because this place is busy, but they also take their time with what they are doing and I appreciate that.  Prices are very reasonable.

I have a soft spot for visits to Canmore, and Communitea is a spot I love taking my friends and family along to. The food is delicious, and caters well to vegans. I have never had a terrible pot of tea here, although I usually have to press my leaves right away to avoid bitterness. The space is a little utilitarian/IKEA looking rather than how I envision a cozy tea shop, but it's quite cute. :)

This place always seems busy and it took over 30 minutes to get two lattes to go, but they were excellent coffees.

Just had an amazing Buddha bowl. Yummy veggie healthy food; great tea and coffee.  Clearly a neighbourhood favourite.
